Seeing him know how to avoid items, do wheelies, take shortcuts, and get actually good at this game is so amazing to see considering how much trouble he had when he started playing this game.
before i see the rest of the video, i want to say that i am deeply proud of poof for not raging after his A rank race, and instead saying 'its not over' and tried again. i'm sure he kept a level head throughout the rest of the video too.
For real, there was so much suspense I forgot about eating my food for minutes Highlights are definitely DK stumbling over that dropped shell and that miraculous Rainbow Road corner save
Congratulations on finally completing the Special Cup! As a Mario Kart player, I would consider the "All Star Rank" challenge to be the hardest out of all the other challenges in Mario Kart Wii, unless you want to cheat the system and unlock Rosalina early by playing Super Mario Galaxy. (And we all know you don't have that game) But either way, well done on completing the challenge overall!
ive gotten red shelled then blue shelled then green shelled then blue shelled then i got a banana thrown infront of me then i got bonked into the water on ds yoshi falls in MARIO KART WII
The amount of times i audibly went "what the fuck, this is such bullshit" while watching this video is astounding, it's scary how poof is always either extremely unlucky or extremely lucky with no inbetween. Great job!
22:55 He unlocked the best character in the game! (Feels and looks like the best character to me imo) Edit: I didn't expect this many likes! Thanks so much! Edit 2: I know Funky Kong is the actual beast character, but I'm more used to characters such as Rosalina, Toadette, etc. (Also poof's least favorite girl)
@@symbolgames1670 I mean, it doesn't even feel that long ago that he didn't even know who Rosalina was (in the first video he made about Mario Kart 8 Deluxe). He's come a long way since then.
Gotta love how my current PB on 150cc for this cup is almost a full minute and a half faster (9:47 range) and that’s still not a three star. Whoever made the star system was definitely overdosed something as it makes no sense how the cup that’s the exact same as another, just flipped, can allow over 90 seconds more room for error. (Not to mention the one with a significantly harder time is the “easier” variant) For added context, said PB had 0 hits by any avoidable items, never fell off, and only one unavoidable item, which was a lightning during the booster section in moonview highway, so it barely hurt me. The literal only mistake was me messing up the wheelie shortcut at the very end of dry dry ruins lap 3 and I had to drive in the off-road for about a second. I haven’t even gotten under 10 minutes since then with 3 hours worth of attempts.
Since Poofesure’s play through of Mario Kart wii is coming to an end i just want to say this is hands down one of Poofesures best and funniest ever series on the channel. Gonna miss it
if poof unlocked Rosalina the HARDEST WAY then we all know he has never played mario galaxy 1 which is the easy way to unlock her due to MKWII doing a save data check for a galaxy 1 save data on the wii.
also, you can save mushrooms in first place because they counter blue shells. use the mushroom right before the blue shell is gonna hit you and you can dodge it!
God, that 3-star rank was poetic as fuck. Also, three main things to keep in mind when playing this game, Poof: 1. Whenever you can, always wheelie on parts of the tracks that are straighter than others. 2. Any time you see a part of the track that has a little bump/hill/ledge/etc., trick off it. The main places you aren’t doing this is the wavy corridors at the beginning of Bowser’s Castle & the large ribbon on Rainbow Road, where you can repeatedly pull off multiple consecutive tricks for added speed. 3. If you have any Mushrooms, save try to save them for shortcuts through the off-road patches or to make big jumps, like the giant holes on Rainbow Road. Mushrooms can also let you escape a Blue Shell’s blast radius if used the moment the Blue Shell reaches its peak before diving. And please get a classic controller for your Wii; it makes things so much easier.
He didn't want to make the tricks on those wavie things on Rainbow road bc he didn't want to fall off Also, the big holes on rainbow road are very risky for him to try, he rathers go safe than fast
Today, I finally completed this very course, also achieving at least one star in every cup. To celebrate, I even ordered a Rosalina figurine, which I plan to proudly display between the monitors at my workstation. It took me 14 years, and honestly, I once thought it was impossible. But your videos inspired me-not so much by the successes, but by showing the sheer determination through countless failures. At 50 years old, this might be my greatest personal achievement of the year, and for that, I thank you.
I remember this time 5 years ago when Poof was getting shredded as Toad on 150cc. I couldn't have imagined him ever getting a 3-star rank, much less get it on the Mirror Special Cup of all things. He really has come a long way.🎉
