Elon uses logic, the interviewer is using a script. And he didn’t practice for those responses because mainstream media expects people to conform to the barriers they have created. Lately Elon has been stomping all over those barriers and personally I can’t get enough. Somebody get this guy a sidekick cuz he’s a frickin super hero.
so... what about the lawsuits in Germany for hate speech on "his" platform... what does he have to say about that? oh yeah... the fines happen to be worth more than the company
The funny thing about the example thing is that if he doesn't have one he looks like an idiot but if he does have one it wouldn't technically mean anything because its purely anecdotal. However at the same time it would be easier to convince the listeners that it has merit because people are incredibly fallible to unrepresentative anecdotes.
Yep, contrast this “journalist’s” interview with “alt right youtuber conspiracy theorist” Tim Poole’s interview on Joe Rogan’s podcast with Twitter founder and his attorney. Tim Poole brought receipt after receipt and was incredibly prepared for the discussion. Yet we are told to trust and have faith in main stream media?!? Heavy skepticism is needed on EVERY media source to sift through the agendas, lies, AI crap and manipulation.
You're missing the point here. The guy said that his for you page had more hareful content. When you say that, you're gonna have to give an example. Representative or not is a different discussion, here they were talking about the guy's personal experience@@Gardor
@@GovernorTransalpineGaul I am not sure I understand what you are saying. I was talking about the argumentative quality vs the objective quality of giving an anecdote and argumentative winning conditions. The only information that matters is generally representative information, because any other information can be a random variation without meaning. The only way the interviewer could win this argument, regardless of what is actually true, would be to dump a ton of unrepresentative anecdotes on him, because they can be very persuasive. If the interviewer ever gave into the argument of representative statistics, then he immediately looses because Elon would likely be the primary arbiter of that argument because he has the data. If he gave into that argument, then all he can do is take his word for it. Winning is about convincing the audience. Just to be clear.
@@Gardor here the contention was that the journalist was straight up lying. He went for the unrepresentative anecdote argument regardless of whether that is objectively accurate, but he could not even back his anecdotal claim up. I think we agree on this, we are just choosing to focus on two different things
Definitely! "You said you haven't eaten any of the cookies and yet there are no cookies in the jar anymore, so what do you say about that?" "..." "...look dad it's not about the cookies"
Or a salesman getting caught following his manuscript 😂😂😂 But then they might end up cleaning the whole second floor of someone’s house, including the bedroom and the beds. To suddenly realize that they slipped on the banana peel they tried to get the homeowner on 😂😂😂
It just shows that you must absolutely not accept their rules and go on defense. Once you get defensive it's over. Matt Taibbi should've learned it. Instead of 'defending' yourself, which is useless anyway - just turn the tables and attack them, they have loads of skeletons in their own backyard.
Absolutely. These reporters continually pushing their 'myth' obviously on payroll to do that but pretend to be truth tellers , warmongering but blame Elon indirectly for hatemongering through twitter! Elon❤️💪
These are drones that think that by using buzzwords like "hate speech" and "misinformation" they instantaneously get a gotcha moment on people. They live in the woke authoritarian bubble.
He didn't even genuinely know how long the BBC has been spreading falsehoods. Founded 1922. He was right by guessing , unconvincingly: "... whatever it is a hundred year history ... "
What I love about this is that the BBC reporter thought he would trap Elon Musk with simple questions and he massively underestimated Elon Musk’s intelligence and information on numerous different media subjects and got totally destroyed on camera.
This BBC reporter is not prepared. Probably even fired afterwards. I can easily point out 3 examples of hateful tweets by Elon that has affected a specific race of people...
I've learned that being awkward causes discomfort in other people, if you embrace your own awkwardness and just don't care you gain an advantage in adversarial situations.
The reporter’s inflection says so much. It’s not, “I’m not saying ANYTHIING …” it’s, “*** I’m *** not saying anything (but other people who I’m not going to name are, and I agree with them, so …).” 🤦🏻♂️
I wish people didnt make a joke of this and laugh like its a serious serious crime against everyones rights. Realistically there should be a petition or more to have them removed and their license to post real credible information removed.
This was delightful. I’m so tired of woke and I’m part of this so called elite. Good on Elon Musk. He’s stumbling all over himself and started stuttering. Just another parrot trap ting a narrative.
Bbc all staff are the same that women was like this man. Hit a women with machete😂😂. Who will actually bring it seriously or having a car makes a man misogynist
@@kleec0203 back in the days, journalists were respected because they were good at their jobs. Nowadays, not a single one of them know what they are doing because don’t know what it is to think, they just accepted all the narrative that was pushed to them since journalism school.
They think people who vote different are poor, uneducated, dumb and racists. They think billionaires make too much money and shouldn't exist yet support pampered multi millionare celebrities. They want war with Russia. They want war with China and call Taiwan a colony despite the Falkland Islands, Puerto Rico and the American and French Samoan islands being colonies who get taxed and have no vote. These people have no friends outside their bubble, are the most hateful and hypocritical and think they have some type of high ground and are starting problems with everyone. They try to shut down everyone who disagrees with them even if it means violence, like the Nazi and communists. This actual modern-day fascism.
A producer provides the talking points and questions and most people are told in advance what the questions are. However I don’t think Musk needs any help from an incompetent reporter who thought he would use a ‘gotcha’ question and failed miserably.
@@rainbowbloom575what? That made no sense, he is the one that is arguing for freedom of speech? You just don’t like Elon bc he doesn’t conform to your beliefs and the demands of one side.
He couldn't talk over Elon. Dude had to stop , or elon would have walked. That's how they wipe the floor with people they can overpower. And they're trained to do it well.
I dont think FElon knows as much as he thinks, this is why he has a army of lawyers to get him out of the trouble he is constantly creating even with this interview What speech isn't protected by the First Amendment? Only that expression that is shown to belong to a few narrow categories of speech is not protected by the First Amendment. The categories of unprotected speech include obscenity, child pornography, DEFAMATORY SPEECH, false advertising, true threats, and fighting words. calling him a liar is DEFAMATORY SPEECH, because he couldn't provide an example on the spot... after he says he hasn't been on the app for a prolonged period... because he got defensive and attacked the interviewer
Elon speaks like a bussines man and actually wants to hear what this guy doesnt like so he could improve it if he finds out that reporter was in right or something, but the reporter choked hard
What, you didn't know that they're all weasels trying to appeal to the most weak minded people in society, by cowardly appearing mentally immature while insulting as many rational thinking groups of people as they can? ... You didn't know that they're Satan...?
Similar to nearly every interview of Jordan Peterson. Reporter shows up with every intention of being "the one". Turns into their worst day ever on the job.
This is a perfect example of why people don't trust journalists anymore. This guy is terrible at his job. Journalists should be seeking truth and not coming in with a bias and/ or agenda.
"You just lied." The beauty of that comment is that he points out that the BBC reporter himself just committed misinformation whilst accusing Elon Musk of spreading misinformation, but I'm sure that went over his head.
Exactly, they just want to limit speech they don’t like. It’s a very human proclivity. That is why we have the limiting principle of free speech. It should ensure that no one group or entity becomes the arbiter of what can be said, much less the arbiter of truth.
Saying he's seen a rise in hateful speech, then stating he can't give an example because he's stopped using that feed! Elon is the king of pointing out the lying hypocrites!
Because the interviewer is supposed to be asking the questions but Musk is deflecting and refusing to answer anything. It's pretty common tactic used by politicians that don't want to admit fault. *edit* Hate speech on twitter can be quantified by Anti semitic tweets doubling and a 70% increase in ISIS accounts after Musk takeover. This journo is bad at his job but Musk sounds pathetically in denial by refusing to address this problem. Please read through the comments before replying to me I've had 20+ of the same low IQ take.
Why do you think there are no improvised Q&A between Presidents & the public where they have to answer the questions. I'm talking events that aren't "controlled" and the questions known before it even starts. Because the public is gonna eat them alive and all they'll be able to answer when the uncomfortable questions hit is "it's a matter of national security" or "it's classified" or some lie.
@@zereimu maybe after the first time. Elon became condescending, basing the existence of hate on twitter on one person's ability to remember an example. Evidently the journalist struck a nerve about there being potential for misinformation or hate speech, Elon seemingly doesn't like hearing that for whatever reason e.g. doesn't agree. Hence, he interrupts the interviewer a lot.
He's not dismantling anything and he's being extremely disingenuous. I almost feel sorry for people who watch this and mistake Musk's brazen disingenuousness for some sort of logical and rigorous deconstruction of what the journalist is saying. It's one deflection after another deflection after another deflection. It's almost embarrassingly unsophisticated for a guy as smart as I'm guessing that Musk is. What is the journalist supposed to say when Musk asks for specific examples of hateful content he has seen? So, on the spot, in a matter of seconds, you need to remember specific tweets with their specific words or otherwise your argument gets invalidated? I am pretty sure I read a lot of political content every day, and if you put me on the spot and asked me to provide examples I probably wouldn't be able to bring up anything specific from one or two or any number of days before, let alone in the middle of an interview. In fact, chances are I won't even remember writing this comment a couple of days from now. So what? So what, really? The whole argument is that maybe the journalist is being dishonest because he can't remember specific examples? Wasn't the discussion about a general increase in this kind of content? So who cares about any specific examples and why is the focus on whether the journalist can remember them? (that's one pretty obvious deflection for you there). I don't know, in general it just bothers me when this kind of behavior passes for intelligent or sophisticated. At the beginning of the video Musk also disputes the notion of misinformation and who is supposed to decide what is information and what is misinformation. Oh wow. If only you were an engineer, Mr. Musk, and you knew of the existence of something called facts, if only there was a measurable reality. If only you were sending rockets to space and you could do the math and know when something is going to fly and when it isn't. Because this is not a discussion about ideologies, it's not like it has ever been about referring to people's opinions as misinformation. It's about non truths being presented as truths because there is something to gain from it politically. But, again, if only you were a man of science who could tell the difference between fact and fiction, right?
Don't mind me, just gonna rant for a second. He _figuratively_ mopped the floor with him. Then again, Google added an informal definition of "literally" to also mean "really really a whole lot" which I guess was done in response to its overuse (which I find ridiculous because words shouldn't also mean the opposite of their definitions but whatever) so maybe it's time for me to give in already. Regardless, Elon killed this dude. No contest. 😂
Yes, it is savage, as in monkey savage, and completely irrelevant. You're dealing with an entity scoring cheap rhetorical points by using common expressions in meaningless contexts. And you admire that. You didn't expect to have to think now, did ya?
@@karl5173 Your TDS is showing ;) Set up your straw man, I'll ignore it. Elon got RIGHT to the point, and the best part is that the BBC proved him RIGHT by editing out these bits 🤣 Your lack of credulity in its relevance doesn't negate it at all... lol. Go find a safe space.
@@karl5173 what? the point of that was to show the hypocrisy of that media alongside the ones who control it and who claim they are the "arbitraries of truth", the ones who YOU follow yourself blindly instead of thinking with your own brain, you should take the advice of "having to think" and using it yourself sometimes
@@SaiyanPride24 I think a lot of political problems come from the existance of left and right that go to the extreme, I'am not saying you think like what I'am about to describe, because obviusly I don't know you. But here in my country a lot of issues come from the fact that the right wing comes up with a proposal for something that is good and the left deny it, just because it came from the right and not because of logical thinking like if it was the kindergarten. Thenk 1 or 2 years later the left will come up with the exact same proposal, pretend like they are the authors and aprove it with 1-2 years of delay. For me this only creates social and economy problmes that should not be there in the first place.
Problem is NOT ALL are as witty, smart, wise, and a quick thinker as Elon Musk. This guy is playing checkers while Elon is playing Chess with him. Elon has GREAT Memory too and he picks up on the interviewer's mistakes and attacks it Brilliantly.
When you have to explain how free speech works to a representative of the BBC. And then a demonstration how free speech exposes propagandists. Thank you again, Mr. Musk.
100%! Musk was bang on the money when he asked "Who decides what is misinformation?". The value of free speech is that every man has the right to hear others and decide the truth for himself. A group that makes themselves the arbiter of truth and silences what they dictate is false is the enemy of freedom. The dictatorship of 'truth' prevents the discovery of truth.
are watching the same clip. he got pissed AF. i was going to say he is just good at hiding it but he's not that good. you can see it on his breathing, his posture. he was enjoying beating the guy up. but definitely did not like it when the guy cowardly switched the subject to something he equally has no idea WTF he is talking about.
he calls everyone a liar, he's usually wrong or ignores context as he usually does about a lot of things. But sorry keep blindly worshiping this egomaniac! so gullible
He is not a Reporter...he is a puppet Parrot of left wing Propaganda....Elon Musk is About the Truth...and as he has stated "Take the Red Pill' which is now on the FBI's watch list of words as leftest are all about Killing Free Speech/ taking away your Right to bear arms/ Manipulating elections / Over Taxing us to Death/ Wide Open Borders/ as they push there Socialist ideology ....when it is FACT Socialism has Never Worked in Mankind's History anywhere in the World....Socialist like Marxist Communist and Fascist all OPPOSE a Free Market....Vote Dem ALL OUT!
Pointing out the truth confidently and consistently tends to have that effect. At least the interviewer was a nice person. For all that he was evidently woke and thought he had the moral upper ground with which he thought he could bury Elon with, at least he didn't embarrass himself by resorting to shouting random, nonsensical insults at Elon. As is the common ending to a discussion when these neo-liberals are faced with facts they don't like.
That lying media will get you fired or fake evidence created to get you ruined. It's one thing to be tough, but it is hard if you are terminated from employment.
