CNN's Jake Tapper presses Secretary of State Antony Blinken on President Joe Biden's handling of the US withdrawal from Afghanistan. #JakeTapper #StateoftheUnion #CNN
@@johnnywhite58, Fox seems to be the only mainstream news station asking tough questions from Biden. Others are just licking his boots and protecting Democrats at every opportunity.
Trump told Pakistan to release the head of the Taliban and 5,000 Taliban soldiers. 1) We do not negotiate with the terrorists who enabled 9/11 and 2) Trump sent a clear signal to Afghanistan that he supported the Taliban over democracy. PLUS Trump had the worst economy since the Depression AND added $7.6 TRILLION to the deficit. Trump promised to get us out of Afghanistan. He failed at that too.

@@ExiledByForce1 what if they’re not actually being voted in and instead just cheating there way in? That seems like a more logical explanation at this point
Your missing the point. The only reason Tapper is asking tough questions is because he is upset American is no longer fighting an endless War. CNN is part of the war machine
What? Biden just fumbled the exit from Afghanistan and put tens of thousands of people in serious danger. He had more than 6 months to figure this out and he totally blew it just like every other major decision he’s ever had to make in his career. Biden’s administration just got a lot of people killed, gifted military equipment to our enemy, and is responsible for the biggest embarrassment our country has had to deal with in 50 years. Biden is a stone moron and people are really angry. This line of questioning was warranted.
@@toonpangboon8526 Biden is a poor excuse as a President. This guy checked out long time and the left is using him as acTrojan horse to destroy the US.
Lesson that US has never learnt: stop invading a country if you have no clear strategy and process to solve the real issue. Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan etc.
@@DrBrule-ht2ms Yes but he was squatting. He lost both elections by a combined 13 million votes or so. I finally evicted him back in November. He left un-flushed toilets and pregnant chickens. He and his legions are having a difficult time accepting it.
It sounds easy, but it takes a special kind of husk-person to do what he does. Most humans have a soul or a conscience or at least a mirror to look into and not see emptiness enough so not to lie on top of lie. These Americans arent stranded... we talk to them on radios and even some of them on actual phones even. They can get out if they really pull up their bootstraps and quit lounging around. Thats pretty much what these shitbags have to say.
Omg! A republican adm put is in Afghanistan and walked away..trump did absolutely nothing if his reelection wasn't involved! Omg. A terrible exit definitely and Biden will own it but this war has sucked the life out of our deficit and Biden at least did something! At least we're not dying by the thousands like last year today!! That's what dems voted for.
Trump is who called for us to pull out. He gets the credit for wanting our people back but Joe is the dumb ass who completely fucked up executing it. End of story.
@@brandonhollaway7294 Hardly the WHOLE story Trump also gets credit for sucking up to the taliban by releasing thousands of taliban prisoners including the current head, and got nothing for it, other than them not attacking us - until the withdrawal - their plan all along. That was all Bidens fault too, right? BTW the US has never withdrawn from a failed invasion without complications - the military simply does not train for failure. At least this is miles better than vietnam withdrawal.
@@mickey3424 That is not true. I always compare the different news to build my opinion but lately CNN has seriously been a joke. It resembled a lot Chinese, Russian or Turkish Broadcasts that would always support their regime. I wish very much that CNN would become a real source of news again.
Kamalia was always the liberal presses pick, Biden was just a tool to get her in the White House, now Biden’s done his part and they are ready to toss him under the short bus and put the person they really wanted in.
True, but let's not forget CNN, and the rest of the liberal media, bear some of the blame for the deaths that have already occurred and will continue to occur during this debacle by getting him elected.
@Jay R Oh man we lost that war the second Bush Jr sent us in. There was no end game. Just endless fighting and a drain on our economy. Glad a president finally nutted up enough to take the heat to get us out of it. Two president before failed to do it.
As far as rear-end kissing is concerned, almost all of the GOP Congress has been doing that to Trump for nearly five years now. That's probably why they went along with his crazy idea to bring the Taliban to the White House for negotiations. Even George W. Bush famously said "we do not negotiate with terrorists." At least CNN reported on Trump's ineptness in the WH for four years. Of course he and his supporters called CNN's reporting a "witch hunt."
Afghanistan has a stronger sense of self than America in my view. A majority of them obviously support the Taliban. Otherwise they would not have taken over so fast. They do not allow minority rule like we do in America.
Afghanistan belongs to Islamic civilization. No NATO, no western civilization, no democracy. If someone things it can be changed in 20 years, is no different than a communist.
That's an understatement. People are relying on private US citizens to send money so they can bribe the Taliban at checkpoints to make it to the airport. These people were encouraged to stay because the Biden administration thought (or pretended to think) that the Taliban wasn't going to take over. The Biden presidency was such a bad idea.
I am South African and can not stand CNN,but well done to Jake for finally doing some journalism again. I feel so sorry for all American veterans who have to see this playing off.

I'm Hmong. My grandfather and father were murdered by the VCs because 3 of the 5 sons of my grandfather served under General Vang Pao who sided with the Americans in Laos. They carried out battle plans under the American advice and supervision in Laos to disrupt the VC's advancement into Laos (even though it was supposed to be a neutral country), to disrupt the VC's supply route (the Ho-Chi men Trail) used by the North, and to rescue downed American pilots. When South Vietnam fell to the commies, so did Laos. The commies came with a vengence and launched a genocide campaign against the Hmong. I was only 4 but remember the long foot trek from North East Laos to randevu with the rest of my uncles near the Mekong river to cross into Thailand. We were the fortunate first wave of those who were able to exit Laos. Thousands of Hmongs would lose their lives to the communist soldiers who patrolled the Mekong shortly afterwards. The same scene we see of Afghans clinging onto the military transport plan was also the similar to the scene that played out in the city of Longtiene, the base of General Vang Pao where many Hmongs moved to to be "safe" from the VCs. When the Americans left, they just left. The chaos and tragedy that remained is being replayed in Afghanistan. Many of those that were fortunate enough to make it into Thailand and get sponsorship into the US have become US Citizens. I am one of them, as are the parents of our new Olympic Gold Medalist Sunisa Lee. I agree we needed to leave Afghanistan but to do so in such a manner was irresponsible.
