Absolutely spot on! Just came back from Dominican Republic. Met a sexy younger man in Punta Cana. He was animated, articulate, charming, charismatic, passionate, always smiling, loving his sea and the country. He was Little too passionate lol. We messed around for a bit. He was Hot AF! When I was dating my ex from 2015 - 2018, I was going through deep depression and anxiety, I still managed to make her laugh to point of crying almost everyday, every second, every chance I got weather through text, voice message, phone call or in person and still was masculine, affectionate and passionate to her. As a Dominican, I think this video is accurate, specially for the ones living outside the DR. People on the island drink way more rum and beer than mamajuana, but other than that, this video is spot on 😂 they are extra, loud and have a really light sense of humour.

I recently started seeing a Dominican man who was acting just like that when he first met me he practically wanted to marry me after a week of dating lol not in a creepy way he’s very charming, smooth and gorgeous btw. He wanted me to start learning Spanish right away and applauds me Everytime I speak it properly. I have to remind him to slow down when he speaks Spanish to me. @@ifichukwu still seeing him headed for the one year anniversary I see him about once every other month. Going back in a couple weeks. Last trip end of July we had an amazing time. Although I’m not sure if i am going to stay with him due to the economic differences and the relationship is kind of at a stand still. I do not like that I have not met any of his family and that he isn’t active on social media (to my knowledge) I feel like even though we have grown very fond of each other, I’m not quite getting what I need. He hasn’t done anything wrong, his economic situation is just very unfortunate As it doesn’t seem possible for him to get a tourist visa to come visit me in America. They have to go through A LOT to get one. I like him but I think this next trip will be the end of it for us. I hate to hurt him because he is so nice and sweet but it’s not going to work with these mountains he has to climb to get here. He literally drops everything Everytime I come picks me up from the airport in his own car, takes days off work to spend with me. We went to the mountains and beaches and like I said had an awesome time but I don’t like long distance relationships as it is for various reasons. I just didn’t know all of these different factors came into play prior to starting this relationship with him. I don’t mind that he isn’t a baller but he has to at least to be able to get a visa. It’s been a year and he’s not any closer than he was when we first met and I’m tired of waiting unfortunately, unless he has something amazing to say to me on this next trip or has done something different, it’s gonna be time for me to move on.

I live in what some people call the Little DR, Inwood/Washington Heights, as soon as the weather gets warm the older folk get out their lawn chairs and and coolers and party on the sidewalk. Lots of domino games and music. The Abuelas and Abuelos usually go home around midnight. The younger folk often party til 4 or 5 am.

I think Dominican men are required to take a class on courting a woman. They may be fun men, but many are full of sh*t with many girlfriends, and a woman at home. Dominican women I know accuse them of being loving at first but turn abusive and have many girlfriends on the side. If you're a foreign woman don't get sucked up by the fantasy they are trying to sell you to get your money and a green card. I do like how friendly the people are overall.
Nice video, it truly shows how our men act. As a Dominican woman this truly portray how our man treat us. Being a Dominican woman myself, I wouldn't date Dominican men (I have not dated one at all, not going to I'd rather be alone or date internationally, I'm going based on what I see every day and how my friends, acquaintances and other people are treated in day to day scenarios, I'm 21 btw) but I just don't like the disrespect that they have towards us here, I think is quite rude that we cant do something or say anything without being criticized by them in front of friends and its quite hurtful honestly, but when you do it you're in the wrong. There is such a double standard here that is actually disgusting which I absolutely hate. They talk about us women as if we were objects or their property which is sooo disrespectful imo. @@nolimitky5908 i think you should look up facts because we are in the top 10 list for femicides in Latin America, and also i am not only stating my thoughts on my own perspective, thats why i mentioned friends, acquaintances and woman in general here. Watching or reading the news can definitely tell you about this more, like that one case of this woman being killed by her partner in Bani last week, so go check that out first. I just want you guys to have more respect for us overall. Ask the other women in your family and they can at least tell you an account of them being sexually harassed on the streets.
