all I can say is "WOW". what a great place to come for a visit and wine and dine. Love the idea of the airbnb's. was wondering what he charges for short stays and long stays. would be a great place to just chill and relax. Tell him I'll live in the guest house or one of the airbnb's and I'll keep an eye on the ocean to make sure nobody steals it.

Stunning place! 😲 I saw Wilma’s posts on FB, but not the extent of the property and amenities! Christine and I were discussing where to stay, when we come back 2-7 September.. I guess I’d better get busy, watching for Air BnB listings and availability for one of the units! Maybe Christine and I can take you and Wilma to dinner here, when we come back? I could definitely spend some time there, giving myself a pleasant birthday present? 🤔
That bamboo house will out live the owners and maybe their children. it's can withstand typhoons. Nothing is perfect, but a well made bamboo house is as close as it gets.
@@buildingthephilippines back in the day I met some fellow travellers who reported to me that a typhoon struck Hong Kong during the building boom. The next day all the buildings with metal scaffolding were collapsed and strewn everywhere. Not so with the bamboo, all still in tact.
Absolutely lovely place! I’m fascinated with the bamboo construction. The designer and builders are certainly very highly skilled. Do you know if Kawayan Collective did the design and construction by any chance? Did you ever consider building yourself a bamboo house, rather than your modern concrete block construction and finishing?

Greg, can you provide some info regarding the Solar PV Panels, Batts (I'm assuming LifePo since you said Iron Phosphate) Inverters (ie what model & price for the GroWatt Inverters - model SPF 5000 US??) and any specialty controllers (not the nuts and bolts stuff like normal combiner boxers or breakers but any Specialty item I would need to be aware of unique to PH) AND did he purchase the equipment Stateside and have it shipped or have a contractor?? Do you think Markus would mind sharing the pricing Per Panel, Batt, & Inverter so that we might be size out and roughly compute setup costs for our own systems?? That is true. Only reason since it was just up the mountain. Still a bad excuse actually. We always use proper DOT helmets from the US, when we go down the mountain. Good catch.

Off-topic I’m here in Dumaguete looking for a house to buy or property and build but was wondering do you have recommendation for a good dentist? I have a cracked tooth that needs a crown.
@@buildingthephilippines wanted to thank you for the recommendation to Mercedes dental they got me in today for a consultation tomorrow I go in and get a crown layover started and will finish this next Saturday. Nice office. Great staff equipment. It’s all modern. Just made a deal on some property up in Valenciawill head back to the states to take care of some business. Be back in August and start building.
