All Drow getting Dancing Lights is hilarious considering they definitely DONT need it since they have some of the best Darkvision you can get.

With the controversy with D&D Honour among Thieves not using Drizzt Do'Urde because they were worried about having a Black "evil" race in light of the culture wars ect, there's a very simple solution. In live action, Drow skin colour should be a _grey/purple_ black, not a brown/black like with Humans. And they should still have delicate facial features with long narrow chins and thin noses. So basically like *they are portrayed in the art* - as really white looking Goths who have mixed violet and grey body paint together. But as an Australian redhead, I did find your potrayl of _sunlight sensitivity_ racially insensitive. .. .

Do people actually run their crow players with disadvantage in the sun? That seems like a difficult thing to keep track of.

Drow are obviously a very loaded race and the pre written lore is uh, bad and the reason why the race has so much baggage attatched to it. As a DM I hate a lot of stuff about the drow but find some parts cool and they're so iconic (and also everywhere in a bunch of pre written adventures) it'd also come off badly to have them just be gone entirely. Usually I find this can be fixed in a few ways, 1) Matriarchy is replaced with a harsh meritocracy, that beats down on anyone not holding to high unfair standards, this leasd into 2, where it gives some drow a genuinely good reason to leave, while also still not having all who stay home be inherently evil, propaganda against drow can exist but be sure that drow are found being normal good people, amybe even, 3, have a city somewhere that a lot of surface drow congregate, maybe they have an alliance with outcast artificers who invented sunglasses and special umbrella backpacks to protect the drow from the sun idk just have places where drow are also allowed to be people and not either evil cult of spider god or "one of the good ones"

Has to be the most problematic episode ever. Drow have a race issue and it is not just the issue with the race war that was put on in there. The issues are only part of it. They bleed into this by osmosis. I am a black guy and I like elves and leather - issue? And they seem to keep forgetting about the dark maiden. Good news is not they are trying to fix them with all elves not following loth or even underground. If the Japanese (and some times Chinese) game companies can do dark elves with better then may be The Pinis that did the elf quest series can admit they have black elves and D&D can stomp out the problematic issues with the Drow. ((And I love Drow like all elves and want them just to get a fair break))
