Sometimes in a stretch you can use the old bearing race upside down. Done it many times, but the proper tool is way better!

Buy quality tools and treat them right and the Grand kids will be fighting over them, I keep a Snap-On 2-3/8" socket on my desk with the leter (E) on it and it says LIC. REISSUE and yes it is a 1" drive in safe usable condition my father purchased after the war and he was a heavy wheeled mechanic so it got used a bit ... Get good equipment and treat it right and you can't pay too much for it .... Great info and video ..

Well spend money. Fuck up a expensive seal by accident and the tool would already be amortized. For example the 2 part drivers for motorcycle fork seals.

Autozone loans them for about $65. You get the money back when you return the tool assuming you didn't damage it.

Odd size drivers. The drivers in this kit do not fit 5200lb trailer axle hub races (or bearing cup); outer race LM67010 or inner 25520. The largest size in the kit is far to small to drive the grease seal on this hub. As a work around you can flip a couple of them over and manage to drive the races. This is contrary to the manner in which a race driver should be used. Know your race ID or hub race journal ID before you buy and potentially waste your money on this kit.
