Wow missing SG & salivating for Murtabak! Lived there for almost 5 yrs. If you have time, try Swee Choon (dimsum place, closed on Tues), it's like the local/casual version of Din Tai Fung. 😊

i'm a local. like the chef patrick leano said about east coast about the peranakan area. "the malaysian side". i think what he means is the malay side. the malay ppl here in singapore don't mean they come from malaysia. the malays here comes from the malay archipelego.

Those indian food is truly delicious

Look. This may be just me but as a Singaporean I don't eat curry dishes in the morning. Why? Cause IMHO the curry taste so much better in the late afternoon or evening. The individual spices are more blended. Than there are those like my dad. Who, although we are eating at the shop, prefer to mix the curry and prata in a to go pack. Wait for 5-10 mins than eat his prata.
