I've started to do this with my content company last month! Now on 2k/month, the 10k target is coming closer and closer :) Thanks for the great advice on your channel Alex it really helps out a lot!
It's actually cool that y'all are doing the math here because you can now wrap your mind around how many clients you need at any given amount to hit your revenue goals. I do this exercise with my clients when I'm helping them develop thier revenue projections.
Doing leads/closing rn and we’re looking to upsell on content creation and management in the future, as you said it’s a harder sell so give them an easily quantifiable service, over deliver, and upsell 😊
Just stating numbers sounds easy but the execution is the challenge. Exactly how do you deliver $1,000 plus of value to customers every month? Would weekly TikTok videos or images on Instagram be worth $1,000? Would you need to shoot and edit multiple videos throughout the week? What kind of content would you put in the videos? Would you give them a script or have them create their own? Would you have to hang around the offices of 10 different clients throughout the day to try to capture something worth sharing on social media? How would you show the effectiveness of the campaigns? The math is the easy part.
Very good question. 2 ways imo: 1)Self evaluate & figure out what you enjoy or consider a hobby. Research businesses providing services around that & then look for companies with sub par e-commerce presence. You will literally trip out when you start spotting little to no Web presence with companies doing numbers annually. 2)hyper focus on businesses that make 1k plus per transaction minimum. You can justify 1k a month starting because of the R.o.i upside of brand awareness which equals more client acquisition in time. This gives you leverage because now you can explain the shadow Web effect like Sensei Hormozi said.. You can now justify $1000/month, & as you get better your price will increase. After you find the niche, you gotta be willing to devote solid time daily learning the machine so you can speak fluently and ACUALLY have an understanding of the companies mission. Just thinking out loud.
See, I took home about 160k last year building elevators. But I spend so much time working that I don’t even know where to start or if it’s even necessary to do this shit
He said it in the video: « social media presence » As Alex said you can say « I will give social media presence for your company for 1k$ a month » 1k$ a month is not much for a company and every company « feel » like they need social media presence
Solid advice! The problem is that you run the risk of being commoditized, and profits go to zero. I'd instead start in business by positioning myself as the "go-to person for X", and charge $5k-$10k for delivering a transformation that creates long-term raving fans (+ additional business).
You’d have to sell all the time, while with Alex’s advice, you only have to sell once and than you have monthly revenue coming in, until the client leaves
Branding awareness is easier to deliver (don't know why, or easier than what, but he also didn't say it) But although it's easier, it's harder to get clients, first you need to make people BELIEVE they want to be active on social media and build their brand. And you need to make them believe that's something that takes time, and that's working even when they don't see the results or that even with results it's better to keep going because there's benefits they don't see: basically make them believe they need and that they need you "forever" If they think they don't need you, they won't pay you If they think they already got the results they wanted, they will stop to pay you So make them need you for as long as you wish A codependent relationship really
@Dimitrije Protic A quick solution: Spend $500-$3k on courses to very quickly learn the skills and save a ton of time. Now you have a clear plan on how to manage TikTok/FB/IG etc with confidence. Heck, even do it for free for the first 2-3 people to get real-life experience that you can make a case-study of when pitching to others.
Boomerang-Digital Boomerang-Digital not what I heard in the video, sounded like adjust your price and manipulate the clients expectations. But I agree more views and engagement would be beneficial
Drew Scrivers Okay now I understand. No I’m not upset at this guy I just believe in getting a quality product. So I’m curious to where the value is. Take Tesla for example, it’s the best car available in terms of driving experience and pretty reasonable price. CEO richest guy in the world Elon Musk doesn’t spend a single dollar on advertising, just makes the best product and trust wom marketing. But to be clear yes I agree most of the worlds largest businesses are manipulative unethical and don’t give a damn about the consumer
Adam Papp Haha you’re joking a Porsche can’t compete not even close. Go look up Joe rogan talk about the 2 he owns both. Bro you’re trying to sound smart and ur not. Now go pay someone for “social media engagement” I’m sure your business will take off. And until you actually drive a Tesla you can’t comprehend what I’m talking about. The Porsche is nearly $75k more. You don’t know what ur talking about bud
