That’s actually not a bad way to train. Since he’s a healer, so long as he has mana, he can heal from injuries. As muscles are built by ripping apart and then healing back, you could potentially do a whole day’s worth of training in just a few hours.

that is the main premise of how Rose trains healers. And it also helps that while it does make him physically stronger than a LOT of threats, his primary goal remains evacuating and treating people. healers are rare, so she drills into him that his highest priority is keeping himself safe. as long as he is alive, he can help more people

Suddenly it makes sense why Clerics/White Mages' ultimate weapon is always a massive and heavy WAR HAMMER they can swing around with ease. And in D&D specifically, why they also wear heavy armor. Train, heal muscle so you don't have to wait days for it to repair itself, train some more. Trains their mind/spirit/magic and their muscles/body at the same time. So many questions answered.

What I appreciate about this show is they don't set it up like the other two heroes think they're better than the main character because he doesn't the overpowered abilities. They're just nice people and they're concerned he's gonna get hurt. This could have easily been the whole the mean kids used to make fun of me will I'll show em type stories. Or the whole even though they were mean to me I'm still so nice and karma made me good looking and all the girls wanna go out with me type stories.

Writers are mostly nerds, so their writing is heavily influenced by their personal experience with bullies. I'm guessing this author is on the younger side. Probably wasn't bullied as much as we were growing up because being a nerd is cool these days.

…..OH BECAUSE THATS HOW YOU BUILD MUSCLE! By doing some very intense training, and then using healing magic to repair the small tears and breaks in the muscle, it speeds up recovery and muscle growth because the idea of having to hold back incase of hurting yourself Isn’t a worry anymore

Akshually... it's not the micro tear repairs that strenghten the muscle (recommend House of hypertrophy, dude goes through loads of fitness study papers). It's the stimulus delivered to muscles, tears and repairs are a byproduct, but there's no difference between training that delivered stimulus and didn't create micro tears and training that delivered stimulus and created micro tears. In fact the second case was speculated to even be a bit worse since it lenghtens the rest time needed between training sessions. It's just hard to avoid this micro tearing if you put in some effort.

Tsunade Senju from Naruto explained it best. The healer is the most important member of a squad, so it is of the utmost importance that they know how to defend themselves. If the healer goes down, then everyone goes down. She also says that the healer should focus on healing themselves and others instead of rushing to the frontlines to get themselves killed, but something tells me an MC who sits on the sidelines is not very maincharactery, so expect alot of "I'm a healer, but...." memes.

I don’t know why, but I always kind of had the feeling she wasn’t all that bad of a person. Despite what it looks like, she actually cares about the people around her. The reason she’s so harsh is because she needs to be, that and well she’s pretty weird when it comes to handling people as you can see. I actually rather like roses character. When it comes to the characters in this anime, I have 0 complaints which is pretty rare to see.

Its a minor spoiler, a funny but useful move he will later use: He can gather healing energy in his fists, use his strongest punch on an enemy and immediately heal both his fist and the enemy, so the enemy wont suffer any injury but will be knocked out because of the pain. He can disarm allies too with this move.

Yep, that's pretty much what the MC does. He also uses healing offensively by injecting the spell into his hands, ensuring his fists are safe and the enemy is only knocked out instead of dead.

What's the deal with King Grumpy? Did he not want a healing mage to train another healing mage, or would it have something to do with progress being made at a quick rate? Like he hopes for the kingdom to rely more on him/his resources to stay in power, so he holds a tight rein on what goes on in the kingdom?

The people of this kingdom seem very reasonable and were completely going to let Usato, someone who accidently came to this world, just sit back and chill/train a different way. You’d either have to heal everyone as quickly and mana cheap as possible, which would make only a slight difference in the recovery period, or you would have to do it to a select group of individuals as she does with the Rescue Team.
