@@akirandrake414They explained later how healing magic doesn't work when there is dark magic (and the other way around, which is why the armor wasn't working), so Felm was actually tanking all the hits, which is way Usato immediately healed her as soon as they met again.

@mirko4421 I still think that at least some of the healing does get through, because she would be dead otherwise. You don't get a punch to the face from someone that can destroy rocks with his bare hands and only receive a moderate concussion as a result.

true the training is scary to witness but that is a low bar given that the black knight girl also demonstrates severe lack of any physical preparation an maybe training, she is completely dependent on her reflection magic to be of any use to an army and has not shown any other skills

You know I feel like Usato and Rose Arguing and violent training sessions are actually their way of getting along with each other. Considering even though they may yell at each other a bunch of times I can feel there is actually a lot of mutual respect.

Something I noticed on rewatch was that Rose wasn’t visible until after she punched him that first time. Meaning Usato has been dealing with Shonen speed punches this whole time. Pretty sick.

She’s not? First of all that was a battlefield, people are going to be killing each other, in fact most of the time she didn’t even bother actively killing them, just letting the magic reflection do it for her which many were recovered by the Rescue Team. Secondly she’s literally a prisoner forced to undergo indentured service. She’s serving a sentence, she’s only outside of a prison cell because it’s more productive.

I love this anime. 1. If healing magic was real, healers would always be the main target. 2. If you can restore your body, that fundamentally changes PT. All manner of silliness becomes possible. Also the characters are amazing. 10/10, I want Season 2.
