Didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Face it, modern day society makes us move less and there's a good chance if EVEN if you're an experienced athlete there are times where our bodies fall out of shape. This is nothing to lose track of. Losing General Physical Preparedness lowering is the first step in losing your gains or stopping you from seeing any major changes in your body in ALL RESEPCTS THIS IS SUPER IMPORTANT. In this side of the lifting realm you MUST pay attention to how your body is responding to heavy training. If you are winded or gassed just by your warmup that means you could improve your GPP. If this is the case pay close attention!!!
Lucky for you Matt Wenning has many tools in his tool belt that will allow you to increase your GPP. First off sled dragging is one of the best tools you can use to build up a traction based movement to increase your body's higher range of ability. After sled dragging Matt turns up the heat with a sledge hammer to a tractor tire. This exercise should be used carefully just in case you miss the tire, word to the wise don't miss the tire and end your lifting career early. Next you have the good old fashion treadmill, but unlike anyone you know Matt doesn't turn his on. He even puts a 50 lbs weight vest on and is sure to engaged his glutes to maximize the work he's putting in. Finally you will use the kettle bell swing. This isn't like your local cross fit gym, we're talking a full squat swing. Be sure to watch the video and don't mess around with your GPP ANYMORE!
