My play style: play religiously for 2-3 months, then get bored and not play again for 6-8 months, repeat. I keep being too nervous to delete my island because of the nostalgia but i don't want to have to do island cleaning chores 😭
my first campsite villager was beardo💀 personal NIGHTMARE i hate his character design-however i was sad when i finally got him out bc i no longer had a villager to hate :( ive realized having a nemesis is highly beneficial to my animal crossing quality of life
Mine was Audie (the new Fox? Wolf? I think that’s her name.) and she was cute but I wasn’t into her. Sadly I let her move away before she boosted in popularity. I coulda sold her.
I just read your comment and guess what? I have a guest on camp site! And guess who!! Beardo 😂 he creeps me out! I was like.. WHO is that? Then I saw the name.. what a coincidence!
Actually, the way the money trees work is a little more complicated... It all depends on how much you bury. 1k bells or less = 3 bags of 1k bells (100%) 1001 to 9999 bells = 70% chance for 1k bags, 30% chance for bags of the amount you buried (amount X3) 10k to 99k = 70% chance for 10k bags, 30% chance for bags the amount you buried (amount x3) And the end result is decided when you bury the money, so it doesn't matter if you try to reload the day the money grows. You should always plant 10k for the guaranteed profit.
@@journeyofcurtis The spot in which the tree IS once per day, but you can manage to make a big army of trees by naturally playing every day or time traveling
@@journeyofcurtis Everyday you can plant one tree in the glowing spot. You plant 10,000 and get 30,000. So every day after the 4th day you will make a profit of 20,000 bells. Times that by one year and it is a profit of 7.3 million bells.
I'm not entirely sure this is accurate, either! But it's closer than the video! I always plant a 10k bag, and I've been playing since launch day and I always get 30k. So I can confirm at least that even at 10k it's still a 100% chance!
My very first campsite villager was Raymond and because it was like the first 2 weeks since release I was completely unaware how coveted he would be. I just thought he was a cool looking cat character!
Thing about money trees is that you *are* guaranteed triple if you bury 10k bells or less. Any amount above that will only have around a 30% chance of returning triple the amount you buried. If you're unlucky there it will still act as if you buried 10k and net you 30k bells on harvest.
ty for the clarification, so far i've been getting triple 99k back the last few times i planted. but now knowing that i've only been "lucky", WHOA ... i could lose A LOT like this!
One note about villager hunting is that there is technically a way to increase your odds of a villager. If you have the same species of animal as the one you want already on your island, then your odds increase when looking for a specific villager of that type. This is because the game randomizes for species, then for character when hunting. For example, say you want octavian. Once the game rolls for a squid, your chance is 1/3 that it will be octavian, but say that in a previous hunt you grabbed zucker. This will actually increase the odds for octavian for next time. Making the odds for octavian 1/2 if the game rolls for a squid. An even better way to do this would be if you have an amiibo in the same category of species as the one you want. Slot them in if you have free space, you'll increase your odds for the target villager in your next hunt. I hope this makes sense lol. It was touched on in the vid, but I thought I'd try to elaborate!
OMGG THIS IS WHY I ALWAYS FIND CATS I have 3 cats on my island rn and have had the chance to get 2 more, but ended up keeping on looking (they were both jock types and that's my least fav ://) There's only like 17 cats I think, but omg I love that I have a chance to get more bc of my 3 that I already have. (Also I have Zucker too omg does that mean I may be able to find more octopus'???)
@@cecebruh6287No that's not what they explained. You always have an equal chance to roll any species. Then once that species is rolled it will roll for a specific villager in that species. Having cats on your island won't make you more likely to roll a cat, but _if_ you do, the remaining cat villagers will be more likely than if you had no cats (because it won't roll a villager who you already have) Cats are probably the least useful for this trick though, since they're the species with the most villagers
My first campsite villager was Zell and I didn't even realize I loved him so much until he moved away. Missed him so much I got an amiibo for him and should get him back whenever that arrives. He would run up to my character daily wanting to talk and my other animals do that rarely. I miss that interaction. Not to mention his unique design....yeah I made a massive mistake letting him move 😅
In order to figure out if it's a move out bubble, just go into a building. If you get out and they still have that bubble, it's a move out bubble. ALSO: If you want your villagers not to spawn on cliffs when you're villager hunting, don't bring a ladder. In the early game, you don't have access to a ladder so they don't spawn on cliffs.
When Hans popped up on the screen when you were roasting smug campsite villagers I silently died because I got Hans as well as my first, and you are forced to keep the first one lmao
These myths were interesting to see tested out! I think you should definitely do another myth-busting video o: Myth Suggestion: If you have only a few trees on your island, are wasps and items more likely to be in trees when you shake them?
It is more "likely", but only because there is a set number of wasps, bells, furniture, etc. to be found by shaking trees each day. So it doesn't increase the overall number, but it does mean that if you want to spend less time hunting for those things, having less trees on your island would be more efficient.
Lol I've lucked into Raymond twice. 1st island on a short villager hunt, second island he was my first campsite villager for the smug spot. I actually moved him off eventually from my second island cause I had him on my first. On the other hand, I had to spend 193 Nook mile tickets to find Reneigh before her amiibo became available. :)
My first campsite villager was Kidd and he's one of my favourites! (He's also not ugly) and considering that I like my villagers to be elegant, black/purple colored and a little eccentric or oriental styled, he was perfect for me
If you get the 3 octopusses villager on your Island, it will increase your chances for all other species. But you'll need to SACRIFICE some of your besties
I somehow got Punchy as my first campsite villager. I think it was due to the fact I got Phil to join my island since I ran into him early on a mystery island. He wasn’t one of the first three but did move in before I made the campsite.
Can confirm that first campsite villager being "ugly" is a myth. I've had two islands. First island I got O'Hare, who I don't think is popular but, at least to me, is pretty cute, nonetheless. Second island, Raymond, cute but actually fairly boring. He needed a better hobby and house
This is strange but I had Cube invite himself to live in my island and the next villager that left was him like a week after. No other villager had asked me. He just hated it that much
My first campsite villager was Raymond. I loved him! My first switch crashed. Like, I couldn't get it to charge out turn in, it completely died so I got a new one and I haven't run into Raymond yet; HOWEVER... I NEVER ran into cats on my many villager hunts except kid Kat once. With this new switch, within the first few hunts I found and brought home Rudy and Mery. They aren't on my high list, but I was so happy to have cats! I'm hoping on my next hunt, I'll run into more cats!
4:43 Her: These vegetables will only last until the following Sunday. The subtitles: until the following *Saturday* Well Saturday is the last day before turnips rot 🤷🏻♂️
Theres a myth that Kicks cant sell you the bat/imp wings anymore in acnh. Ive seen him have them on Harvs island in June on my switch and have seen kicks sell them on my island during october. Im not sure if there was a glitch at some point that involved this item. The only strange thing is ive only seen the purple variety of the imp wings from kicks.
My campsite villager was actually… Eugene, at first I thought that he was pretty cool looking… That lasted for about three days, then I started to hate him, so I kept trying to get him out, I was trying for MONTHS, eventually I just got a Francine amiibo card and got him out.
I have a question about the most recently moved in villager thing: I have experienced, and I know of others who've experienced, the most recently moved in villager asking to leave. I'm not sure if it is something Nintendo changed (I know for me it happened not long after release date when the game was still new), or if it's a glitch, or something else. It's only happened to me once. Do you think this would just be a glitch since it's not supposed to happen according to the game's code?
I wish blushing at Orville did something because I am soooo sick of going to the same handful of basic islands over and over again. I'm sad that Nintendo said they will never release any more major updates because I could use about a hundred more new islands to visit.
wow... I'm just now finding out there's a chance money tree's will drop 99k instead of 10k bell bags?! Obviously, it's never happened on any of my islands... EVER.
if you bury 99k bells then theres a chance either 99k or 10k will drop. anything more then 10k being buried will only have a chance of giving you what you buried
My play style: play for a few months, get busy with something else, forget about the game, a few months later find a youtube vid about someone starting a new island, get inspired to start a new one Repeat.
I keep breeding roses, taking a LONG break, forgetting which rose are supposed to have what genetics, then starting the process from scratch. Why are the Golden roses easier to get than blue?
For some reason I do get a high rate of rare islands when I blush at Orville and he blushes back at me. It doesn’t help with villager hunting but for me personally I get bamboo island, money island, foreign fruit islands, etc…..over and over
I've had a campsite villager try to kick off my newest villager. It happened like a couple days ago, actually. 😅 I'm still trying to get Coach off my island.
Money trees are good if you plant 10k or less. Then you’re guaranteed to get triple the amount you planted. If you plant more, you either get triple or 3k. It’s not worth the risk. I remember when I heard about money trees, I got so excited and planted 300k worth, then 4 days later, I was furiously looking for my tree because the one I found only had 3k. Turns out my money didn’t triple!😭😭😭
Because of my emotional connection with my villagers, I cannot restart my island. So I made the decision to move all their homes to the beach. Flatten my entire island and start all over that way.
For villager hunting ive heard on different videos that the game will have a higher chance of giving you personalities not yet on ur island which makes for diy reasons
my first campsite villager was pietro. on my cottagecore island. so of course I locked him in my basement and tortured him until he decided to leave 🥰💅
Wait you can time travel to make the first campsite villager leave?? Once I got hippeux(i think thats how you spell it😅) anf i time travelled literally 2 months and i still had to take him
@@royaleeabi Hmmm... I think I must have been half asleep when I responded to the orignal comment before because (for one) I honestly don't remember writing it and (two) you're right that you can't time travel to make the first campsite villager leave. As far as I've ever heard at least.
