Doona is the best in terms of chemistry and passionate relationship. I would like to see more kdramas like this! Sure the fluffy romcoms are cute but every once in a while we need more "grown up" relationship. ❤
I've been in search for some slow burn heart fluttering romance for a long time. I'm so glad that Netflix has been releasing all episodes at once for dramas so I can peacefully binge watch without losing the connection while waiting for a week for the next ep. The subtly growing romance and angst is what I've been craving for and this rightfully feeded my soul ❤ the scene where she sleeps on his lap and they hold hands has me kicking my feet in the air like a crazy teenager hehe. And the kisses were so so good 😍 I need more dramas from yang sejong it's been a long wait since his last project.
It took me a while to find another kdrama that gave me chills like "Alchemy of souls S2" Lee Jae Wook and Go Youn Jung did last year but now the chills is back. Suzy and Se jong chemistry is 🔥
This confrontation scene was so good..Suzy’s acting here was top-notch.She understood all the nuances of Doona perfectly.Such an amazing character Doona is.And the chemistry is overflowing between her and YSJ.They’re just the best😭💗
@@maritta01 No…she’s intentionally written to be a chaotic mess who has no self-confidence and how she gets over that..I think she’s of the most refreshing written female characters ever written in kdrama land..and feels very real to me…I personally related to her existential crisis.If she was really that narcissistic,she wouldn’t have quit the idol life ever at that point…so I don’t agree…I can understand that she may come across as unlikeable for some but I never felt so…Doona felt unique in the way that she herself ends up saving herself in the end(with wonjun’s assistance ofc)…characters with traumas don’t have anything else to them other than trauma…kdrama writers are really bad at writing women who are more than the result of their traumatic past.Doona’s trauma is shown but her normal,playful personality is also very much there.She feels more free when out of her idol personality.She has scars and everyone understands that…they all support her..And Doona doesn’t just stay like that…she also helps WJ in getting closer with Jin Ju during the start without ever claiming him to be hers only.I don’t think she was selfish or unsupportive of his feelings..she also lets Jin ju to come and stay at their house when she comes out from her home.Being with these people made her feel loved and she gained her self confidence back.She knew that she had it in her to be better but was feeling listless and very insecure of herself.But she knows that only she can save herself.She did some bad things ofc but only out of rashness where she just couldn’t think properly.The show makes it certain from that start that she’s not completely practical.The show is her development,her progress..you could say that she’s learning and progressing.But she felt guilty of them instantly and just apologised everytime.Even in the end,she is the one who fights for the relationship and gets closure and becomes better.She lovingly wrote and sang a very emotional song for him wishing they never break up.She truly loved him.I don’t think she’s egoistic.Even after all the traumas she’s experienced since young(abandonment,stalking,emotional abuse and manipulation),she still grew up and changed herself positively for her own sake and for Won jun..that’s truly love…and you can’t dismiss that as being egoistic/narcissistic.People with mental health problems have so much to deal with and they’re constantly trying and to term their efforts as such feels so sad and kinda disrespectful to me! This show felt very humane in dealing with that and portrayed her with care and sensitivity and as a woman with her own mind.And suzy aced it..
and sejong acts really well with his eyes. they way i can fell a lot of emotions flooding just by looking at his eye expression is just... amazing wow. i need to see him on more project. hopefully he gets them esp since he came back from the army
I love Yang Sejong's acting in all this part. It's so raw and sexy. You can feel that Won Jun is completely shaken and desperate, and then he can't repress his passion anymore. Great actor.

The "Doona" is the most beautiful romantic drama I have seen. Wow!! Then they have change this drama from the cartoon, and end the season 1 with so many questions and speculations. It's hardly prepared for season 2! We can't wait!

Nine episodes really sucks! I get excited when contents is being bought by studio dragon however they’ve been messing with my mental of lates just when I get into a drama it ends! Leaving me with questions I wandered if the writers had writer’s block! Based on the scenes of #Doona! My take away is they’ve decided to keep their love by keeping their professional her being a K-pop idol and him a civil servant out of the public… for me that made more sense because they didn’t want to give up on each other. I’m the end she glimpsed back at him when meant they were in the same city and I felt they’re together. That life gave me a realistic view into the lives of K-pop celebs and it’s sad i hope it really changes .
I haven't start to watch this kdrama yet (just some mins of ep 1) but anyway I love I got to see this scene. I must said i'm in love with this atmosphere, it made me feel like if I was THERE with them in the whole scene and I love when directors made this because they make you feel the whole emotions between the caracters and how tense the situación gets. This kdrama seems to be another masterpiece❤️🤍🦋

I don't know. I heard that behind the scenes, they thought it would be more realistic to have them break up to show how being an idol can kind of suck. This is what a lot of idol girls have to deal with.
I am hoping for season 2 on doona please and i am also hoping for yang sejong and suzy to be a real couple i love thier superb chemustry and kissing scene really gave me chill it fell real romance love so much❤❤❤❤❤❤

Liked the show, hated the last few episodes though. Seemed to take a strange turn that made no sense to me. It may be my autism, but seemed the reason they gave up was too contrived. I thought the acting was good, I just felt the writing was inconsistent, like they switched writers and the second one didn’t have the same feel for the relationship the first was describing.
