@@Patrick-wc8lt he never got nerfed to the ground, he's just overshadowed by some of the other crazier patch notes, while he only gets smaller adjustments.

@@RenShinomiya121 actually in a tournament a great dbfz player used kid buu yamcha and ultimate gohan to keep you on the ground and apply more pressure. As a result, they nerfed yamcha and made it so that you could jump out of the pressure and possible go on the offensive.

Imo this is more benefiting to Yamcha than you think. Testing this today, I decided to put Yamcha up against SSJ Goku's Lv 3. Regardless of if he teleports in front of behind Yamcha, his Stand Heavy is a more optimal punish. If blocked, all Yamcha can punish with is a light jab starter, and from experimenting, something like in the corner LL -> 2MM -> JLM -> Rejump JLMH -> Spark -> M -> 2H -> SD -> JLMH -> JLMH ->Gale Claws -> Spirit Ball It would do around 4400 damage. If I punish with 5H, however, different story. Because of the flip priority and the new ability to SD after a beam, if I do this occurrence in the corner instead H -> Kamehameha -> SD -> JLM -> Rejump -> JLMH -> Spark -> M -> JLM -> JMH -> Gale Claws -> Spirit Ball I get around 5850 damage So yeah, it's definitely quite a buff to his 5H. May not be the best for combos, and may be bad on whiff, but imagine your opponent's reaction to their Lv 3 being beaten by an invincible 5H from someone like Yamcha 😂 (Still gotta Reflect/Vanish against beams but still)

But he still has a decent if not bad mixup and neutral, not good enough to shake the meta in my opinion

Black wasn't fantastic, but Ginyu? He's almost always been really, really strong if you know how to play him, and frankly I think he might be a little too strong after this.

Ginyu is extremly good if you master him because no one that dumps a lot of hours into him knows how to play agains it

Black was always one of the lower tier characters but because dbfz has always been fairly balanced he was always been viable Meanwhile ginyu is a character that has always had insane potential to be broken and at some points even the potential to be one of the best characters in the game his one problem was how hard he is to master

I mean the meter penalty does kill the meta teams of fusions and lab coat on the same team. You can play them together but you wont have any meter at all to actually finish the job consistently so this change may be lazy but it is very effective in pushing diversity in team building Also a LOT of assists got buffed so that can potentially help in diversity in the meta. So who knows this patch could be fairly effective 😅

@Sammy Dray the hard meter penalty is the most unhealthy lazy shit of course its effective in nerfing the characters. It's not a good patch and anyone who says that plays Blue Vegeta

A 30% nerf would have been sufficient, how can people bitch about fusions yet now we have blue Vegeta doing one bar sparkles ToD's??????????????????...gogeta wasn't even doing that...... It's hypocritical for players to whine about gogeta and now praise blue Vegeta for doing even more ignorant damage than the fusions were ever doing..and people now are like "BEST patch ever 🤦" part of character diversity should still be allowing someone to play fusions as freely as they like, the meter nerf was way too much once again catering to scrubby complainers that derail the mechanics through excessive bitching.

Be careful though since its not full invincibility but only during the backflip part so he can still be hit during the lunging forward part so some advancing moves could still stuff him but its a somewhat neat buff 😮

Literally same, if we could just get a ps5 version with rollback I would play this and sf6 for the next few years

as a Hitter, same 😭 he already had really bad damage without meter or really complicated mix, killing his meter gain is like shooting him in the neck.
