You Should Meet My Son! -- The Trailer 

For everyone who's wondering why this trailer suddenly turned up in your recommendation: Around five years ago, RU-vid labelled this trailer as "adult content" which meant that it didn't appear in recommendations, couldn't be embedded off-site, and could only be viewed by RU-vid users who had signed in and affirmed that they were 18+ years of age. I protested the shadow ban at the time. And today, after FIVE YEARS,, RU-vid finally got back to me and lifted the ban.

"Im going to change the world, because I wont let it change you!" That broke my heart, such beauty! :'(

I watch this trailer every day and I still tear up every time she says "I'm gonna have to change the world, cause I will not let it change you".

I don't know why this is in my recommended 13 years later but I want to see this now.

I love that she just wants her son to be happy.

Okay who else cried when the mum made her speech to her son about changing the world him.

I love the idea that she wants her son to be happy or as she puts it "laugh out loud, thrilled to be alive, smiling all the time happy." And she doesn't care whose he's with as long as he's happy. Now that's a great mother who clearly loves her son. Oh I wish I could see this movie.

And the editor. She's a genius too. And the DP. And the supporting cast. And the composer. And our post sound engineer. And... You know, there were a lot of talented folks on this film.

Great line: "I want you to be happy, laugh out loud, thrilled to be alive, smiling all the time. If you think that this world won't give you the things that you want: Love, kids, a family, then I am gonna have to change the world because i will not have to change YOU". Inspiring words...

Never heard about this movie till now (2024) and am gonna watch it RN

Looks like a lot of fun. Low budget doesn't mean it's bad.

Just watch this movie.. You'll not going to like it. You are going to love it. It will make you loved, cry, and will touch your heart at the same time.

Thanks Zackary! We'd love to do a sequel. I'm thinking that it might involve Brian and Chase getting married, and Chase's conservative parents refusing to attend. So Mae and Rose fly into action to try and put the family back together again. Anyway we're trying to find some way to raise money for it. Please recommend the film to friends. Every sale helps.

Brilliant movie! I just saw it and I laughed all the way thru it! This film may have had a low budget but the cast is AMAZING!!! Every single cast member is memorable & does a superb job, making it a film you don't want to see end. Bravo to Keith Hartman and all involved with this terrific film! I'm praying for a sequel so I can see all these great characters again!

I have told many friends about it. Hopefully some of them have listened and either rented or bought it. I have rented it then bought it on DVD.

One time my uncle gave me the posters of the video club he use to have and I found the one of this movie, I never got interested but now that I see it seems so funny and the mothers words are beautiful
