The thought of me losing a top tier level 60 character due to a DC or a bug or something is terrifying. I lost a level 40 mage to a bug that made it so I didn't load into Scarlet Monastery properly; loading screen, but still getting attacked. (No I wasn't saved or anything). That was enough of hardcore for me.

Yeah as someone said for the Hardcore realms death technically isn't the end for your character since once a HC character dies they can be transferred to a non HC realm for no charge. So if you get to like level 40 and the time investment has gotten you attached to your character and they die, you can easily just continue playing that character on a non HC realm

​@@Tuskor130issue is that non HC realms suck, I've tried playing there, it's pretty dead, filled with boosters, and the economy is literally fucked. 500g+ for a single arcanite bar, expensive consumes, etc. there's barely groups doing stuff.

the other thing that also keeps happening to me is that alt is still pressed after i''ve tabbed out of a game. so when i return and say press s to stop moving the game reads it as alt+s input. so i have to click it again to release alt. it doesn't happen always in all games but every time it catches me off guard

He got both lucky and unlucky at the same time. That 800 crit + 300 knockback followed by a mid air vanish and no lava tick (on top of the other mob random pathing not messing him over by being too close) was wild

The average player in most games are bad (its never an even distribution/bell curve) and then add on top of that WoW's/Classic's aged demographic of boomer gamers--they played in a time where optimization wasn't a thing and the only thing they've learned across the years is how to minmax their gear but not their brains.

Just play heal and put the windfury totem down. Supported AND be usefull

Pallies don't need to be versatile. They heal and take damage. It just works.

@@tBeNz0 We get better windfury with the talent. Depends on the raid setup honestly. If it's like 40% warriors, yeah, an Improved Windfury goes a LONG way in terms of overall raid dps, so those groups naturally tend to have an Enhance there to add extra oomph to the big melee dps group. Tbh Enhancement shamans have always just been a stat boost for other melees. We deal decent dps but it's not what we're taken for. But it's alright. I'm not playing a 20 year old game to prove anything, and I like being a more particular kind of support/buffer rather than a traditional healer. And most of my friends are melee mains anyway, so it's kind of a natural fit for me too. TBH people still complain about frost shock and the ranged interrupt all the time calling us broken anyway lol. It seems the community can't really make up it's mind regarding certain specs. My advice, play what you want. You're bound to find a group that simply doesn't care that you aren't one of the thousands of mage or warrior spammers.

His mouse clicks were eaten as well I'm sure. I need to unlazy and test it one day, but I'd bet it's the discord overlay + alt tab combo that actually doomed him in this case

Instead of running directly into the boss, and directly back to the group, he took a nice little loop that, in addition to keeping him from engaging in a good time, caused him to take more ticks of inferno, and ultimately caused him to be right next to the person with Living Bomb.

99% of wow population is worse than him including you. That makes him good by definition.

Pretty sure he raid led mythic nighthold successfully, which probably puts him leagues above the majority of players.
