Don't copy and paste multiple items. Instead, copy all the items you need and then press this shortcut key to paste anything from your clipboard history.

Windows + V was introduced in 2018 so unless you're 5 years old you haven't been doing it wrong your whole life. Also, while it is useful, most copying and pasting is pretty simple and using this shortcut isn't going to save you much time. The main use is when the text you want to paste isn't at the top of the clipboard because you copied something else.

You actually been a tech for 35 years? Wow, how has that been? I been one for a year and a half. Any advice for a youngster?
@ElderTechDragon
@ElderTechDragon Год назад
@@TechSpec814 Well, the way I see it, there are three basic career paths in tech. 1, you aim for some life-long position at a major company for the steady work and benefits. 2, you opt for the freedom of doing freelance work, which can be rewarding if you don't mind walking tightropes without a net. Or 3, you focus on solo creating new new tech. Which path you choose is a matter of your tolerance for risk. The downside of a tech career is that there are total paradigm shifts every few years. It can be like a permanent state of working full time and also being a full time college student just to keep up with the state of the industry, forever. I think the best advice I can give is to be constantly aware of the potential for burnout. You'll need to devise strategies to keep it at bay. It can be a very thankless job as people can come to regard you as little more than another piece of office equipment. Establish boundaries and stick to them. Two other things to watch out for are "Project Creep" and "Creeping Scope". This is when whoever is employing you starts to grasp the potential of your talent. Their imaginations starts to swell with all the cool things they can think of to ADD to the work you've already agreed to. It's like someone commissioning you to build a Honda Civic who, after seeing you can build just about anything, constantly keeps coming to you with ideas for "improvements" while you're working until you realize they're expecting you to deliver a Lamborghini at the end. They don't want to PAY for a Lambo and don't think all of their "little" suggestions amount to very much work. Always make sure THEY know the little extras they desire cost extra and what they WON'T be getting for the money they're offering. And that reminds me of one last hazard, the "Golden Handcuffs". That's when you're being offered rediculous amounts of money to work yourself to death. It can be just as bad for you as picking up a heroin addiction.

My whole life?! I was introduced to Cut and Paste in the late 1980s when I first used Microsoft Works on MS-DOS 3.3. At the time, there was no Windows key on a standard PC keyboard. I didn’t have a mouse yet at that time. So I was limited to using CTRL C,X,A, and V, or pressing Alt, Then going to Edit, and Choose Cut, Copy, Paste and Select All. Selecting text was done by pressing shift and using the arrow keys to highlight what I wanted to copy. I may have more history using computers than a lot of people here, but most of us have been alive longer than the modern Windows clipboard has been around Saying people have been using cut and paste wrong our entire life implies the option to use Win + V has been available a lot longer than it has been.

Grass is a type of plant with narrow leaves growing from the base. A common kind of grass is used to cover the ground in places such as lawns and parks. Grass is usually the color green. Grasses are monocotyledon herbaceous plants. The grasses include the "grass" of the family Poaceae. This family is also called Gramineae. The family also include some of the sedges (Cyperaceae) and the rushes (Juncaceae).[1] These three families are not closely related but all of them belong to clades in the order Poales. They are similar adaptations to a common life-style. The true grasses include cereals, bamboo and the grasses of lawns (turf) and grassland. Uses for graminoids include food (as grain, sprouted grain, shoots or rhizomes), drink (beer, whisky), pasture for livestock, thatching thatch, paper, fuel, clothing, insulation, construction, sports turf, basket weaving and many others. Many grasses are short, but some grasses can grow tall, such as bamboo. Plants from the grass family can grow in many places and make grasslands, including areas which are very arid or cold. There are several other plants that look similar to grass and are referred to as such, but are not members of the grass family. These plants include rushes, reeds, papyrus and water chestnut. Seagrass is a monocot in the order Alismatales. Grasses are an important food for many animals, such as deer, buffalo, cattle, mice, grasshoppers, caterpillars and many other grazers. Unlike other plants, grasses grow from the bottom, so when animals eat grass they usually do not destroy the part that grows.[2] This is a part of why the plants are successful. Without grass, soil may wash away into rivers (erosion).

Heres my clipboard cause why not: A rocket-propelled grenade (left) and RPG-7 launcher. For use, the thinner cylinder part of the rocket-propelled grenade is inserted into the muzzle of the launcher.RPGs with high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) warheads are very effective against lightly armored vehicles such as armored personnel carriers (APCs) and armored cars. However, modern, heavily-armored vehicles, such as upgraded APCs and main battle tanks, are generally too well-protected (with thick composite or reactive armor) to be penetrated by an RPG, unless less armored sections of the vehicle are exploited. Various warheads are also capable of causing secondary damage to vulnerable systems (especially sights, tracks, rear and roof of turrets) and other unarmored targets. The term "rocket-propelled grenade" is from the Russian acronym РПГ (Ручной Противотанковый Гранатомёт, Ruchnoy Protivotankovy Granatomyot), meaning "handheld anti-tank grenade launcher", the name given to early Russian designs.The M134 Minigun is an American 7.62×51mm NATO six-barrel rotary machine gun with a high rate of fire (2,000 to 6,000 rounds per minute).[2] It features a Gatling-style rotating barrel assembly with an external power source, normally an electric motor. The "Mini" in the name is in comparison to larger-caliber designs that use a rotary barrel design, such as General Electric's earlier 20 mm M61 Vulcan, and "gun" for the use of rifle ammunition as opposed to autocannon shells.Type Rotary medium machine gun Place of origin United States Service history In service 1963-present Used by See Users Wars Vietnam War Third Indochina War United States invasion of Grenada United States invasion of Panama Soviet-Afghan War Falklands War Gulf War Operation Restore Hope War in Afghanistan (2001-2021)[1] Iraq War Production history Designer General Electric Designed 1960 Manufacturer General Electric Dillon Aero Garwood Industries Profense Produced 1962-present Variants See Design and variants Specifications Mass 85 lb (39 kg), 41 lb (19 kg) lightweight mod. Wow. I consider myself a pretty big power user and never knew Windows had a built in clipboard manager.

Clipboard history was introduced In either win 7 or 10. It's also a fairly nasty security risk considering how much stuff uses your system clipboard

I already knew this :) Just make sure you press Win+V to turn it on for your first time, otherwise you’ll have to turn it on and re-copy everything

Did you know that if ur left handed mouse user, using Apples cut, copy and paste key sequences are a pain. The old Windows cut copy and paste short cuts are far easier. Esp, if you,re an editor.

Another good function that was first introduced by third party apps and widgets years ago and which Microsoft took years to introduce.

Hi. Thanks for the tip. It's amazing and saves me lots of time. But after using the feature for about 3 days, my laptop has run slow and started to lag. Then I opened Task Manager, and I realized that the Microsoft Input Experience was the cause of the lag. It keeps consuming RAM until my RAM is 90% occupied. And at that point, I can't use my laptop anymore. I have to restart it and turn off Clipboard history. It's so sad :( Note: My laptop is MSI modern 14, Ryzen 5 5500u

1. MY entire life didn't have computers. 2. The first computer I used was a dumb terminal connected to a mainframe and was named VAX. No mouse, no windows key. Pretty much just type what you want to do on the command line. 3. I won't even go into the time I spent on an Apple computer.. which, not surprisingly, also has no Windows key.

When I was young, you copied and pasted by punching the text onto paper tape and then feeding the tape through the reader.
