Many commenters have been requesting a NEMOPHILA reaction. I ended up doing TWO. Two reactions? Yes! Two! Watch along as these fives gals melt my face. #nemophila #nemophilareaction #japanesemetal #metal
Welcome to the truly wonderful flower field of Nemophila! :) But if you now think that only one plant grows on this bed, you will be in for a big surprise. Since this band is still relatively young (since 2019), this rabbit hole is not (yet) as deep like that of Gacharic Spin or Band-Maid, but believe me, you will not get out of it so quickly anyway. 🤭 The charming beast at the microphone, who goes by the name of Mayu, is the reason why these ladies got together when she was looking for musicians to support her at a show in 2019. The first person she contacted was Haraguchi-San (bass), who was a former classmate of hers. The two managed to convince Tamu Murata (drums) to join them, who at that time was already considered an exceptional talent on the drums and had already made quite a big name for herself in the scene as a session drummer. Through contacts they became aware of Saki (Gt. of the brand 'Killer'), who in turn made the connection to Hazuki (Gt. of the brand 'Ibanez'). After what was supposed to be their only show, everyone thought that this group was too good to leave it at that. And so Nemophila was born. Another really nice story, if you ask me, how these highly talented musicians came together. No casting or anything like that. If I were to believe in it, I would almost say fate. I promise you, another great journey awaits you and will further enrich your own catalog. 😉🤘🏻 _____________________ 「 _"Till I return to dust, I will stand alone in the dark with my pride at the end of time"_ 」- from *Nemophila* - '徒花 -Adabana-' 🎶💮
So you know the Story that Saki wasn't originally going to be playing due to still being kinda actice with Mary's Blood who as yet hadn't decided if hiatus or ending and also had her Solo Projects and other bands she sometime played with but would look after/manage get the the right contacts and Tamu was thinking of leaving because Saki wasn't joining and felt something was missing. And eventually Stayed because Saki couldn't NOT JOIN THEY WERE THAT GOOD TOGETHER. So if all that true(cause only heard it in mini docu and bits from Saki talking mainly to Little-Guitar, Is she still doing Representing stuff. Cause that gorgeous woman apparently has all the right conections and they wouldn't go wrong or get screwed with her. Love that girl obviously lmao
Best metal band in Japan! Check out NEMOPHILA / OIRAN [Official Live Video] - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5qABnfChpbk.html ^ there are two different videos with the same title , you want the newer 2023 one!
You just saw my favorite Japanese band. And to think that live has no crowd (Covid) and sub par mix. You need to see the newer Oiran as Malady linked. The Oiran had a crowd with covid restrictions on screaming and moving. Nemo toured the US earlier this year and freaking destroyed every night. Another killer band you have not done is Hanabie. They are on their 1st World Tour in Europe now but soon to hit US stages. They are a trip, fun, energetic and started in High School as a Maximum the Hormone cover band. A good start for them is Pardon Me I Have to Go Now mv.
finally, a reactor who pays attention to the way the band pronounces their own name...and yes it's based on the flower and thus the logo is the flower, Nemophila. Thank you for caring and for the fun reaction! Glad you enjoy these awesome hard working musicians, every layer of this band is phenomenal. 2 awesome guitarists who also sing backup vocals and are just super people, amazing bassist, so cute and a beast on stage live, one of the best drummers out there IMO, and a unique vocalist with every layer of personality and vocals, she's the first vocalist that i can get into that isn't just cleans, she has a great rock rasp and amazingly strong but not annoying screams. her vocals range is awesome. I am always blown away by her contrasts and she does it all live, so it's not just studio editing etc. fantastic band.
Love this song and band. Both guitarist use 7 strings and the bassist uses a 5 string. This is a super band. All members have been in other bands and 3 of them are still in other bands or projects as well as Nemophila.
Yes a name of a flower and playing heavy stuffs... that is why their band catchphrase is "jigoku no yurufuwa" ..jigoku = hell, no = indicates posessions, yurufuwa = fluffy cute, which translate to hell's fluffy cute and transcribe to their heavy song is heavy as hell but maintain their fluffy cute approach as them being ladies. Hana and Tomo-zo of Gacharic Spin also have close ties with NEMOPHILA and some of the band members played together on that live stage (NAON no YAON) you watched here. NEMOPHILA drummer Murata Tamu also supported GC twice, once in 2018 when Tomo-zo was hospitalized during tour where Hana (GS drummer that time - Tamu's fellow TAMA endorser) covered Tomo-zo role while Tamu stepped-in behind the kit for Hana. The second time was during this NAON no YAON 2021 live where GS drummer Yuri was on maternity leave and Tamu covered her seat behind the drums.
Quick intro to these ladies (in alphabetical order): - Haraguchi - Bassist. (Most people call her Haraguchi-San.) Hazuki - Guitarist. Mayu - Lead Singer. Saki - Guitarist. Murata Tamu - Drummer. (alternatively referred to as Tamu Murata). Have fun discovering the awesomeness of this band!
One of my top two bands. There is no weak link with these ladies. Every single artist is in the top of their instrument, or vocal talents. Their music videos are great and if possible their live performances are even better. You noticed that both guitarists use 7 strings. Hazuki plays Ibanez and Saki uses her own signature Empress model from Killer guitars.
If your Ibanez is a 7 string it should be fine. Hazuki (the guitarist on our left) is sponsored by Ibanez. Nemophila is my favorite band. But try my second favorite also Hanabie (Ha-Na-Bee-A ), start with "We Love Sweets".
Go back to the beginning and watch the in-studio video for their demo version of Oiran (their best song and show closer). It’s simultaneously brutal and charming - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eyb2NtPwcxc.html They chose the name NEMOPHILA for two reasons: the letters lend themselves to the creation of a cool Metal logo; the flower has five petals, as the band has five members. Also, props for researching the pronunciation of their name and for viewing more than just their music videos.
Now you have seen the heavy side of Nemophila. They have some more heavy stuff, but maybe more melodic. But ... they also have non heavy stuff. They are a totally fantastic cover band. They have played lots of fantastic live covers of good songs in the drummers rehearsal studio. Just because they love it and they can. Regarding the covers - just dive in - they are almost all stellar. Some are a bit simple, but songs they like. When it comes to their originals, here is a good list IMHO. * Adabana * Dissension * Fighter * Monsters * Oiran * Raitai * Revive * Rise * Sorai
BTW - they have covers of * ACDC * Babymetal (with hairstyle) * Bon Jovi * Halestorm * Helloween * Iron Maiden * Kishidan * Kiss (with makeup) * Linkin Park * Loudness * Maximum the Hormone * Minions * Rottengraffty * Seikima II (with makeup) * Show Ya * Skid Row * X-Japan
This live version of "dissension" is from a livestream performance during the covid period, and the sound quality cannot reflect how good their live performance, i recommend《oiran》live(recent one) as the next!🤘🏻🌸🤘🏻
Welcome new Petalhead. 💠💠💠💠💠 I would make suggestions, but there is so much, and they have only been together since 2019. My fav is Raitei (Thunder) OMV, but they are so versatile
You found a great rabbit hole to go down in Japan and you haven't even got to Lovebites yet. One of their newest Live videos of "The Hammer of Wrath" is incredible. Enjoy
Love seeing newbies to Nemophila .This band is something else whether its a cool cover that they do for fun or one of there own (two full albums out since the start mid 2019 ) Talent off the scale and if your a guitar player they have some how to play videos out as well ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sFMP2-SaeHA.html here is one .I do suggest doing Oiran live ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5qABnfChpbk.html this is a resent recording live with much better sound from the Dissension vid you just watched
