@@OFB-ow9ue I don't really blame Vogel much. It was a messy roster and they should have picked up a cheap center. Having the option to have size and rebounding is easy with a 15 man roster. They could have used a true point, but the style in the last 7-8 years is to have your best scorer have the ball and create for others - essentially the way Harden has preferred to play. I think starting Booker, KD, and Allen with Beal as a sixth man would have been better.

Actually KD never asked to be a leader on any team except perhaps the Thunder. Booker was supposed to the leader on Phoenix. KD was happy being a wingman like in a Pippen mold. Suns was Booker's team just like Wolves are Ant's team.

KD is not a leader. He does not want to be. I'm pretty sure he's even said that himself. Phoenix is Book's team. Brooklyn was KD's team. GS was Steph's team. KD don't have a team. He's a supporting superstar. Always has been. He thrives as the #2 option. Book suppose to be leading the team and KD backing him up.

What SAS is saying kinda makes sense; it unfortunate that Vogel was little more than a placeholder for the Suns next HC. The problem with KD, Booker, and Beal is that they assumed that 'the others' were the ones that were supposed to play defense and not them; Durant has been guilty of this mindset career-long. I also believe that the Suns wanted Deandre Ayton to be more of a Gobert-type of rim protector, but Ayton just wanted to score point AND get paid for it, which is why he ended up in Portland. Its a low key mess TBH.

Stephen A was fully correct about Kevin Durant in terms of how people and general public will judge and analyse KDs career when it’s all said and done Casuals will see KD as guy that couldn’t do it without Curry and Kerr despite having all that talent to do it without them

The nba is getting bad they immediately fire people after one year or in the bucks case halfway through the season when they were rolling, you can't expect to build team chemistry when the coach is constantly changing the NFL gives them at least 2 full years to see if the team grows NBA owners want the impossible

Frank Vogel correctly assessed that the roster needed a point guard and the Suns front office refused to bring one in. This roster was cooked from the start and there’s nothing any coach can do about it… …Except maybe D’Antoni. The D’Antoni 10-second offense might have been the best system for this roster.

Maybe that’s just KDs personality. Maybe he just wants to go out there and hoop. Media should really stop trying to make KD some leader he never claimed to be. Seems like a quiet dude that stays to himself for the most part.
