It isn’t the dirt you need to worry about. Its the petroleum used to create the bags and the release agents used in the production process. These are not meant for direct food contact and should be avoided for this purpose. Use regular plastic food wrap if you want to use this method.

I don’t think you realize that cooking something doesn’t make it sanitary. Yeah heat can kill certain things but not everything. I also don’t expect them to wash the bag either because who actually does that. I use these bags just for trash because items have been in it that has had people touch it. Just imagine all the hands that touched those items touching the inside of that bag. As someone who has stocked items on shelves before each item has 100% been touched by human hands. Btw heat also doesn’t make dirt, dust, or any other particle just disappear 🫠. If anything those things are now on the pie crust. Please google these things that takes 5 seconds rather than to say something like this

These bags are tight bundles of hundreds, tightly packed into boxes. No room for bugs inside the bags. Everyone has to find fault with something.
