The Candace Newmaker case is just upsetting. The first petscop video MatPat did talks about it. The lines that witness said were almost word for word what the actual therapist said.

The Joyce Gilchrist case is... disgusting. 23 people sentenced to death, 12 executed, on blatantly falsified evidence. She should have been sent to death row for killing innocent people. If she was like the L&O equivalent, she'd probably have argued 'I didn't put the needle in their arm'.
@nicholasmaude6906
@nicholasmaude6906 10 месяцев назад
I would've liked to have seen her sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole, she died in Texas, 2015 at the age of 67 (Cause is not listed but probably cancer), she should've died in prison for what she did. You'd think after all of her fabricated testimony was exposed especially in light of it resulting 12 people being murdered by Oklahoma that the state would've suspended if not outlawed the DP.

I had saw a episode of SVU, about a set of twins. Two boys were born and the doctor had mess up one of baby's little male area. So the parents had rise the little baby boy as a girl. The true story was in fact true and sick too. David Reimer, the parents were good people. It was the doctor later that was treating him that was sick. His story was truly heartbreaking and I hope he at peace. RIP Mr. Reimer 🙏🕊️🙏🕊️🙏

The "John Money" incident. Sadly, people still use that case to argue any doctor that treats transgender patients is as sick and twisted as Money. Not only did he mutilate that child and ruin the twins' and their parents' lives, but his legacy is still ruining the lives of people from beyond the grave.

episode 1, season 7. Name of the episode is, causa mortis was based on the story of Kathleen Weinstein. Season 2 episode 10, heaven. based on the 1990 Happy Land Social Club Fire caused by Cuban refugee Julio Gonzalez. he was trying to kill his girlfriend so he poured a gallon of gasoline at the only exit of the club. in the process he killed 87 people. his girlfriend was one of the few people who managed to escape season 1 episode 9 called indifference that was based on the death of Lisa Steinberg Thrill (episode 1 season 8) mentioned in this video. I lived close to where this happened. after the shooting many pizza places in my area stopped home delivery so your only 2 options was pick up or eating at the restaurants.

Candace Newmaker's case happened in my state. I watched the trial coverages on tv as a kid. I remember thinking that it was just a tv show I was watching, because the way they described everything that happened was too horrible to be real life. There are a number of other L&O episodes based on real life cases and I can think of two from S1 - "Indifference" and "The Serpents Tooth", the episode based on the real-life Lisa Steinburg case (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joel_Steinberg#Death_of_Lisa_Steinberg) and the second on the Menendez brothers ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyle_and_Erik_Menéndez ). "Indifference" had a sequel - L&O 15x11 "Fixed" after real life killer Joel Steinberg was paroled in 2004.

SVU's 'Raw' could be based on the 1989 Stockton schoolyard shooting, where a racist man seemingly targeted children of Asian descent. While that shooting was never offically classed as racially motivated, it's difficult to believe it wasn't because the shooter was known to be racist against Asians and possessed racist literature. Revolutionary Aryan Warriors (RAW) could be based on Tom Metzger's White Aryan Resistance; the son having his own version of RAW's website could be based on Don and Derek Black. RAW's website also featured a game that could be based on 'Ethnic Cleansing' a game where players dressed as a Klansman or a Nazi to kill minorities. RaHoWa is also mentioned, which means 'Racial Holy War', a term popularised by the Creativty Movement (World Church of the Creator).
