Wonderful tour and history! I was also touched by your one on one time with your son. My father recently passed away so I'm a big squishy mess with anything involving connecting with dad.
Wow, what a surprise to see your visit to Howard’s Museum. We went across Canada with the Canadian Coasters Tour in 2017, and Howard was one of the coasters. We were 104 antique vehicles. Most of us including Howard were campers and about 15 were hotel, motelers. We didn’t visit Howard’s museum on the tour. The highlight of Alberta was the Calgary stampede. In 2018 ,Howard planned a reunion for us in Leduc. We ( New Brunswickers ) didn’t get to go. Thank you for taking us to his museum! We were on the road less travelled for 90 days travelling from Victoria BC to St. John’s NL. Trip of a lifetime! There were cars from every province except Manitoba.
I worked for a while no far from to the Rolls Royce factory gates. But the jet engine factory, where Concord engines had been designed and tested. A few years later I had an apartment where every day at 4pm Concord would fly past on her way into Heathrow what a NOISE ❤❤
Alexander, Back in the day I had a vinyl album demonstrating the latest and greatest stereo effects. One featured the sound of Henry Ford tinkering with some vehicle. Your hear his Mother's voice saying" Henry, what is all that noise?", and His reply was , "Mother, I'm a failure, it doesn't sew a stitch!". Look how far we've come with these Rolls and Bentleys, but they don't sew a stitch, either:) Cheers, Rik Spector A truly happy and healthy New Year to you and the family!!!
Happy New Years Alex, Melissa, & family. Enjoyed the earlier version....you have your reasons which you've stated further on in the comments....good for you! I'd mentioned that my hubby (RIP) owned a Navy Blue Bentley back in the day....t'was nice to see in in the line up of vehicles in your vid.........take care...best always... 💕 from BC
Thank You so much for the tour of those amazing car's. Keep up Your super work with Your Family and Business. Happy new year Brother Alexander 😀👍♥️🇨🇦🇺🇸🌎♥️🎊🎊🎊🎊💯
It's the first of the 12 cylinder Merlin engine that Rolls Royce used in the Spitfire aeroplane to win the second world war and it did just that. They were also made by Packard under licence.
Curiosity Inc, had an idea: Arrange with the auction house for you to offer gift certificates to their auctions to those who are in your channel. Example: Tell viewers that whomever would like a gift certificate to put a certain word or phrase in comment (this would eliminate those that dont want to participate) then set up a random generator that you will spin once a week or 2x a month. Then the winner will send you an email to claim. I've seen this done on Craig's List Hunter's channel & it adds a sense of participating for viewers in the channel.
I used to see a gentleman drive a Rolls around the neighborhood in a retirement community we lived at in Central Florida, USA. Only one around and everyone knew his car!
James Bond drives a 1930 Blower Bentley in three of the 007 Novels, Casino Royale, Live and Let Die and Moonraker.[2] It has since reappeared in a flash forward segment of Charlie Higson's 2007 novel Double or Die.
At 7:15 or so, look up at the rear of the chauffer's compartment. His roof section slides in/out of a compartment operated by hand, not easily! Two arms swing out to cover the top of the side door windows. One can see the little round pull/push knob that opens that space.
😍 Keep Rocking 🤙 the good stuff 👍 Beautiful people 🤗💚🙏💜🕊️🐇🇺🇲🦅🗽 The 🖖 continue with your comforts creative vision play faith zen travels 🥰 Uncle had a Rolls Royce 😭when had to down size to down payment morgage on Island home. Lots car truck bike boat events back in the day memories.🤗
The Leduc Light Festival looks like fun. I know that you said that they have similar models to yours, but have they shown interest in your Limo given it's royal connection?
Beautiful cars and I enjoyed hearing some history! Alex, you'd be flabbergasted by the Nethercutt Collection/Museum in Sylmar, CA! The "Nethercutt Collection" is a 4 story building (including basement) that includes two floors of immaculate looking historical vehicles, and the upper floors have automatons and mechanical musical instruments. Everything in the collection is functional/running, and the tour guide demonstrates most of the instruments. The "Nethercutt Museum" is just across the road from the collection and contains even more amazing vehicles. If you're ever in So Cal, it's a must see for a car guy and musician like yourself. Tours are free but you do have to reserve a spot in one via their website.
The Toyota Century still comes with a wool interior standard, and leather as an option. The people who buy them prefer wool for temperature and noise reduction.
Figured it was edited for the McQueen Kightyear mix up. But can understand why. Oh iirc turning the hood ornament unlocked the hood on some Rolls. The Triumph Mayflower also sloped towards the rear. To imitate the Rolls design
Alex responded to a comment above and seems to be saying he had to edit out footage of the blue/white vehicle in the initial upload, which apparently his friend didn't want included.
Rolls Royce Carmargue was a coy of the Fiat 130 inside and out right down to the stitch lines on the seats. When a sports saloon was ordered they wanted a exact copy of the Fiat beige it or not.
@@CuriosityIncorporated Undercover secret agent doesn't want his cover to be blown It was a close call but I feel as though disaster has been averted Good work Alex 😉
@@CuriosityIncorporated Yeah, I thought you had just mentioned that he allowed you to film, but that he didn't want to be on camera...and there he was. Thank you both for this video!!
I think I'll take the base model, Alex. All the extra sheet metal and interior gewgaws and bijouteries are just dead weight and negatively affect the petrol mileage.
I'm not sure what point you're trying to make, but the vehicle in this video is an automobile, and when an automobile has a rear end that tapers to a point or a cone, it's called a "boat tail vehicle."
@@GuyWithTheDogs so it's called a boat tail even though it's not the shape of a boat tail, that is bowed, not pointed, the pointed bit of a boat is the stern which is at the front
@@stevek6432 @steve k Perhaps you should watch the video again. No boats were involved. You're looking at the tail of a CAR, not a boat. That's the point. If you still don't get it, I can't be of anymore help.
@@CuriosityIncorporated I was wondering because I had started it last night, then went to bed about half-way through figuring to finish the next day. So I got the whole thing in parts 😉
Very nice collection! The name of the brand is Rolls-Royce, not Rolls Royce. What you call a Landaulet(te) is a Sedanca de Ville, and the straight eight is in fact a six cylinder.
How is that possible, Jim?? Did you think this through...or is your post snark for snark's sake? The people who saw the original may not watch again...so their views are lost on both videos, just as all of the views on the first run are lost. So after losing the views of people who won't watch twice, the second upload gets fewer views than it would have if it were the only version. I fail to see the benefit that you claim.
