@@frostycalls5680 they are very good Fighter Cas for ground RB, especially in the mid tier. I used them a lot there. Apart from that, its not in my list of favourite air rb planes. i just flew some of them in air rb to spade, cause in ground battles the xp gain for air units is so low compared to air rb. But i completely skipped the f4u1c, because no bomb load. but i guess with 4 anm2 you dont need bombs^^

This game is insanely fun in custom games, but playing actual air RB against randoms is infuriating. I think this is by design.

Man, the AA has been broken for like 2 years now. It just gets progressively worse, and I just see it getting even worse than it is now.

Yeah I just started getting into air rb recently so I started playing with all the nations i hadn't touched yet and mid field aa is so ridiculous, it literally ruins the game because you cant even dogfight, and in really slow planes like biplanes you're so slow you get instantly disintegrated anytime you go anywhere near there side of the map.

@@leeham6230 As Defyn has brought out in the past, it really feels like Gaijin wants everyone to move to Ground RB to fight, making the A10 and SU27 out specifically for ground BR's it seems

​@@_lliu3oqppehu9l_83 Well, FN is around 15-30 kph faster at 0-1.5k than F4 and climbs 3-4m/s faster at this alt. On hot maps FN has bigger advantage, on cold ones, lower. But I agree, F4 is still much better.

Yeah, the A-10 and C-5 both used to be foldered with the A-5. Though the A-5 used to be 3.7, not 3.3.

@@lemonylemon2289 seems like a skill issue to me. P-39n-0 american is not only faster below 3k, but has better climb and turnrate. You just need to know how to use its low altitude performance

You play it like any other p-47. Sideclimb, make sure you always have an energy advantage, and just boom and zoom. Try to keep to shorter dives so you conserve energy, don't overcommit if the plane you're diving on dodges. If all else fails it's pretty fast for it's br, can outdive pretty much anything

P-47 is trash. Do not fly it if you want to win.

A-5 is the most agile (less armoured) A-10 is the fastest/better acceleration (slightly armoured - better WEP) C-5 - between with I think a little bit more armour. Also A-5 has a single 500 lbs bomb And A-10 and C-5 have 3x500 lbs bombs (2 drops. One bomb per wing - they drop together and 1 bomb in the middle dropped separately)

Above 270mph it has a good turn rate. At low speeds it has a poor turn rate.

There is a video where he flies the F-86 Sabre in a free fly where he shows how he uses the keybinds and mouse, but I agree it would be nice to see it in action in some matches.

If gaijin really wanted to change thing they would do pool and survey with actual proposition of the player base. The only polls we had were basically. "Do you want to be f*cked with or without lotion?"

@@briannormant3622 Those polls are being offered the way they are because Gaijin thinks the player base is too broken to actually work together intelligently. The player base has shown Gaijin to be right via the results of those polls. When pressured by the player base they have done more than that. Granted that it hasn't happened that often historically but every time it has happened Gaijin has basically said "What do you want" and at least went with some of what they could implement to improve the given situation. Hence me saying what I did.

@@rainsilent Imo, the playerbase is capable of working intelligently. Every group of person will have some infighting, it's a part of being human. But the whole point of a poll it's to had a objective view of the opinion. The only times i remember gaijoob asking us something were the two survey of the economy. And there are quite a lot of things the player base is agreeing on: br décompression, op premium, different planes br for ground and air. Edit: I forgot to mention gaijin adding mechanics no one asked for: middle map aa.

@@briannormant3622 If the player base was capable of working intelligently then why did the majority not vote for the don't change things option that was presented in the rewards change vote instead of voting on the decreasing option that it did vote on? There were a few YT channels that went over what the best option was and even posts in the forums and on reddit and yet a majority still voted. There is general agreement on a number of things but there is little to no organization to try to do anything about it. Agreeing in general means nothing if you don't actually care to support an effort to get things changed. Also mid map AAA has been a thing for years. It getting buffed now is puzzling to everyone though. Finally, yes there is infighting and yes it is natural but studies have shown that the degree of toxicity shown by gamers is way beyond anything that would be considered normal. That was my point.

That and I find the 37mm a finicky gun. Sometimes it does work, sometimes it doesn't.

@@Flayrr872 yes. It has a bit of spray and a lot slower than 50cal and drop quicker than 50cal. So this makes it a bit finicky to use against far distanced target and fast moving targets.

@@hulong0205 That is true, but can be worked around. If the P-63's gun is anything like the P-39N's then it's bonkers, for me if i hit something with the P-39's 37mm it usually instantly goes down as a fireball.

You wouldn't like the mig15/bis then, same problem but at 1000kmhr. You just have to find a way to like it, once you get your eye in, it's extremely satisfying to use. The p63 shouldn't take you too long to find the sweet spot.

@@superfly29rr16 To be completely fair in air RB you usually either die before being able to use all your ammo, or you get damaged/spend it on 2 kills and have to RTB. There aren't many planes that use something bigger than 20mms that actually can brag about having enough ammo for the entire battle.

Sorry dude, I think there's a good reason you're struggling to find videos on this thing. Personally, I find this variant of the Beaufighter is the worst. Yes, it has good armourment, but that's irrelevant when you can play the 3.0 variants that have similar flight performance at a lower BR. Also, you are at the same BR as the Mosquito, which is just a better plane imo. The first Beaufighters are alright* when you use MEC, but this thing is a worse performer with the higher BR, regardless of the .50 cal bite.

nobody knows, Gaijin treats every part of this game as if it's some excellently coded masterpiece that needs to be kept secret. They adjust these things constantly to try to find just the right balance of suffering to fun to get people addicted and then force them to become fed up with suffering and spend spend spend

multi spawn air rb, fighters only on winter map with lots of terrain. Count me in all day. Instead they took away EC and just ported the maps to ARB and said "da be gheppy"

I slowly watched this game devolve from the being the best free game I ever played, to a game i wish i never played due to how it is now. And that's what gets me. Top tier also had its issues back then, but NEVER did I have a moment where i smacked the fucking desk out of pure frustration because some fucking UFO from the 1980s shot down my 1950 warbird with missiles. cough cough f9f-8 with AIM 9B flies against german ww2 jets cough cough. I really do miss this game the way it was before supersonics came in. I really do. And I don't see it getting "balanced" within the next couple of years. God I miss my f86 vs mig 15 battles. You know, back when you had to load 20m fuel for top tier cuz the mid game only started at minute 7 when the first planes do RTB. Now the post game is at minute 2. Team battles don't exist anymore either, you just shoot at something that looks like it's not paying attention, whether or not that's on a teammate's 6 dsnt matter. Fuck the match, it's just about the stats.

And cringe when people do shit like taking a advantageous position and turning it into a 50/50 head on, or going after a burning bomber cuz "i have to get more kills cuz that = gitting good". Arcade is fun to a degree that it's something you can just pop into and there's no real punishment for losing 10 aircraft in one game. ARB used to be way more strategic than it is now, you worked 10min for a position to get a firing solution, most games you had maybe, MAYBE 2 kills. Guns jammed, aaa was horridly inaccurate, proximity shells actually did dmg, any fire was death, i can go on and on and on. Point is it wasn't easy or quick, but when you got that red indication of "AIRCRAFT DESTROYED" OMG, you were god at that moment. I remember vividly how this change in mindset happened when they introduced tanks, worsened when they gave rank 5 premiums, and when to shit right after the f104/mig19 patch (that was still some decent top tier). Felt like a massive horde of people who play ace combat and COD saw the game and rushed in. You could feel this all the way down to rank1. It was like over night noone knew what a one circle engagement was, and you physically couldn't communicate BFM with other people cuz they din't understand wtf ur saying, or din't even read chat at all. My big big point here, all of the OG players I know, also feel this way, or already left and tells me not to talk about this game with them anymore. Literally every single one of us. If you want to have a discussion, let's go. But if you're just going to be another person carrying the toxic in game chat to youtube, telling me to "git gud" then please leave that to yourself. And if ur gonna have a problem with me writing an "essay" now, then please remind yourself that you literally asked me to elaborate my position. Not much. I still find myself playing aircraft that's been in the game since I picked it up. I basically only play the first 5 trees, and never touched the other stuff beyond the first 2 ranks you can unlock in like no time these days. There are more maps, that's nice. But fuck EC maps, that was a lazy decision noone asked for. People DID ask for ARB EC, as a completely separate game mode with multi spawns. Like, fuck me, there's so much beyond just what the game was, it's not like I'm saying "don't change the thing i like", it's just sad you all gobble this shit up as if this passes your standards. 7 years ago, this wouldn't pass anybody's standard for a game, 7 years ago this would be blatant greedy practice, and noone would play this game. But today in the microtrans gaming world, this is normal, and all ur gonna get. They can't let the good game still exists, cuz that hurts bad version of it that makes all the money. P.S. also no. griffon spits are pure trash even compared to Mk IXs. If you can't happily camp on a griffon's head as a jet, u don't know how to jet. This is kinda exactly my point. Jets have 99% of the advantage, yet they put themselves into positions where they can get ganked.

My la-7 video is still relevant I am working on an la5 one

La-5 is a very flawed airframe with a really powerful engine. Work within its strengths and it is capable but it is really easy to pull out its weaknesses. It is fine for the BR. La-7 takes that powerful engine and puts it in a good airframe with only a few weaknesses.

@@rainsilent long ago, pre-1.77 update was the last I played it (the La-5FN particularly) is why I'm so curious lol. back then it was monstrously good for me, but it makes sense that it's been toned down a bit nowadays lol it did feel a bit unrealistic almost

@@blessthismessss The 5FN hasn't actually been toned down. Still powerful engine with fairly good climb rate and good level flight speed but ~350mph lockup means you can't really dive to engage or escape. Just a number of the planes that should be higher in BR have been shuffled in the past year. In similar position as P-40F. Capable performer for what should be at the BR but gets overshadowed by under BRed monsters. Edit: Still highly prefer Yaks though.

At least it kind-of mitigated the 288 spam (when it gets to mid game, at least).

@@maxwellmaragia2272 Fair enough. Maybe they are trying to push the more high alt fights? I know from personal experience that the TA-152H1 has been getting a lot more high altitude action, since the buff.
