A look at how Riverside Drive has evolved from a rarely traveled street into one full of traffic jams. This 16mm film reveals how congested Riverside Drive was in 1960s. It was a main north-south route in and out of downtown Tulsa.
Jack Frank maintains a large collection of historic films of Tulsa and Oklahoma dating back to the 1920s.

I'm happy that Riverside is open again. Being closed for 3 yrs to build Gathering Place was a nightmare! Oh, and can we get some roadwork done in Denver, where it connects to Riverside???

I remember in late 70s / early 80s Riverside only went to 61st then the rush hour went east to Lewis. It was a mess, lol.
