I have the early 1963 Ford 4140 Heavy Duty Industrial Tractor with front end loader. It’s yellow and blue. Love the looks of the late 50s to early mid 60s Ford tractors
What year was this model 4000 made? I have a 1963 Ford 4000 Industrial 4-cylinder Diesel (code 41300) that is set-up the exact same way, same wheels, axel's even the air-cleaner inboard under the sheet metal on the left with a 12-volt single battery on the right side just like this one. Only the nose looks a bit different. the base color was red on the engine/trans/axels, with the tins/fenders and wheels cream. Someone took a rattle can to it a long time ago and sprayed over that in Ford blue which has faded and peeled reveling the original colors. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Good day, wow VERRY NICE RESTORATION) I want to paint my tractor (same as you but diesel) but I can't find the paint colors code (or name), if possible, that would be great. Tanks, Patrick.
I have a 4000 that would be a good example of what the every day 4000 looked like. It’s faded cat yellow with a bucket loader and a few dents and dings in it
YA THE SHERMANS WERE ON THE LEFT SIDE! I NEVER SAW A FUNK EQUIPPED TRACTOR! WE HAD 2 FORD TRACTORS AND SHERMANS IN BOTH! WE ALSO HAD A FERGUSON 20 WITH AN OVER-UNDER- DIRECT SHERMAN! I BELEIVE THAT ONE WAS FOR A FORD TRACTOR, BUT SOME SPECIAL ADAPTOR WORK WAS DONE TO MAKE IT WORK! AFTER THIS WAS DONE THE GEARSHIFT LEVER START WAS ELIMINATED AND WE HAD TO USE A PUSHBUTTON SWITCH ON THE DASH! THE OVER UNDER SHERMAN REALLY MADE IT A BETTER TRACTOR! JUST HAVING THE OVERDRIVE ON THOSE TRACTORS WAS A GREAT THING!
I just bought a 1961 Ford Industrial with a 6000 pound KD forklift. I'm curious about whether it would be more valuable ( not that I plan on selling) with the forklift on or removed completely. It doesn't have hydraulics or PTO on the tractor itself but uses the Add-on Hydraulics for steering. I'm leaning toward forklift on... but up for comments. Any suggestions?
Keep it as is as found but repaired and fully functional. Restored is fine but too many "over restored" machines out there. Work clothes all the way for me.
I had the jubilee and I restored it and now I got the Massey Ferguson 231. I’m so tall I went out to go look into the jd5075 and only thing I don’t like is the set do not go back. I think I’ll go with the mahindra next.
Hi beautiful video. I was wondering if I could have some help from your knowledge and tell me about my tractor that was restored from my late brother inlaw. Do you have an email so we can chat ,and send you pictures of it . Ty dave
