For gaming screen recorder wise, should my screen video resolution at 2400x1280 or 1280x720? planning to edit it to upload to youtube but idk which one will compress lower quality after editing with YourCut.

Very helpful, thanks. I have another question, i think its a good one. What if i have a 2mins and 35 secs video and i wanna split it in 3 different videos of 1 min, 1 min and 35 secs l, for example to put them in stories of insta that are only 60 seconds each, and do this without rendering 3 different times from the starting big video, like starting again and again triming what you dont want to keep the different pieces of it. Is there a way for this?

Hi . I don't understand this . But I do have a question . I drive hgv double decker buss's I Dublin Ireland for work . Every time I take up a new route , I take a full length video inbound and outbound . The question I have for you is this . I have my own RU-vid channel but if I were to upload both of these videos to RU-vid how do I shorten the length of these videos , because at the moment they are just over 1 hour long , also in those videos , how do I put up the names of the streets / roads to show up on the screen for people to see as the bus is driving on them. I didn't find the video helpful. And in no way they are these comments to be mean or hurtful, I do appreciate you I'm trying to put something up to help people like me that don't know how to use this program. However this is what I wanted to do, I have a video that say 2 minutes long and all I wanted to do was cut out a piece of the video in 30 second increments so that I could send it to somebody where I can only send 30 second increments at a time. All I did was get more confused by watching your video there's nowhere in your video where it says how to do what I'm trying to do, nothing is clear about what trim is versus what cut is versus what split is? Everything just sounds like confusing double talk and no matter how many times I tried to do it I still can't figure out how to do it. Maybe others who have some background and this may have been able to pick it up rather quickly but your video does say beginners guy and I consider myself a beginner however still somewhat text savvy but I can't figure out how to break these down in the seperate 30 second clips. Maybe a video that would have information like this, "do you have a 2-minute video and you want to trim it down to just keep the time segment between a 1:15 seconds and 1:45 seconds, giving you a total 30 second clip? Here's how to do it." Something like that would be practical and something that a beginner might be trying to do and then clear descriptions on how to do it. Thank you for taking time to do the videos in the first place I do not want to sound unappreciative at all but after watching your 6 to 7 minute beginners guide multiple times at night while I was falling asleep in the morning when I woke up after a good night's sleep and I still am spending almost over a day on a video clip that I would have thought should have been something simple to figure out and it's not.

9 months later and om still none the wiser as to what the purpose is of the split 🤷🏼‍♂️ I get how it works but I am still clueless as to what it actually does to the video... all I can see is that it puts a line somewhere in the video clip, but what is it for? Whatbis splitting? Why is it splitting? Why do we need to split? I totally understanding cutting a piece of film away and I totally get trimming a piece of film away.... but split, wth is it 😅

You are not telling me the difference between trim, split and cut. What's the end result for each?

but what does the Split function actually DO? It doesn't save the split copies as separate videos in order to send/share/etc. Doesn't make sense to me.

Frankly you have confused me. After cutting a clip, can I rearrange is else where. Second if it's possible, Pl take a clip and show what will happen to the final video after using the cut, trim and split applications. How to rearrange videos.

I understand it all, but the problem was when I uploaded 7 min video along side with 13 min video and it shows me the second video but only from 0 to 9 minutes, where is the rest, 4 minutes ? (I don't think I splitted it anywhere). Also what's annoying is that i count all minutes together and decide what should I cut, once I go trimming (cutting), it shows these 0-9 from the 2nd video and eeeverything gets fucked up. Idk where to cut then. Also minutes do not show up as video is moving, just the line - THAT'S the biggest problem.

Dude your explanation needs some work, you just make things complicated. Can you trim and cut at the same time?

u should be showing what this is all for, confusing just showing a technique with no bearing on the macro.... next time show the clips, say what is the purpose, and then show the final product, u have plenty of time over a 6 min video
