Ranching is in a certain Ivy League cowgirls' blood. Jen Johnson holds a degree from Princeton - yet, unique against many other graduates, shes returned back to the land and agriculture which runs strong through generations in her family. She's tending to cattle the exact same way her ancestors did over 100 years ago!

Its good to see other individuals making the same choices as I am here in northeastern New Mexico. It is a difficult decision to forego using a degree in the same way that our classmates are using theirs in order to come home and carry on the family tradition. However, feeding our country while conserving the open space we are lucky enough to become stewards of is important and rewarding. Hats off to the Johnson family and hopefully we will meet someday in the future.

I love it out here in Colorado. Born and raised a Coloradoan. I seriously plan on going back and following my roots. See, I haven't got a ranch to go back to because some years ago, my grandmother sold the Babcock Ranch to a big company. I'll figure somethin out. I love my roots, grandpa was a Nebraskan Corner farm boy, the there's my dad's side of the family, hog ranchers, the there's my Nana side, southerners.

Good to see them working cattle from horseback. A lot of modern cattlemen just train the cows to follow grain thrown from a truck.
