I think they should be strung up immediately, if they're 100% sure they have the right person of course. String em up IMMEDIATELY! So all other predators see what will happen. They won't get to sit in prison and eat and sleep and go on living off tax payer money. Nope... They showed their innocent victim no mercy, so they should be shown no mercy too. That's just my opinion. These monsters will only re-offend. Period. So stop them before they victimize another innocent life.
😂😂 ya got that right! Our son is a typical 17 year old...you can clearly tell when he has been in the kitchen ! I clean up the microwave and the front of the fridge all the time....but he decides to make something in the kitchen...which, it's great he is making something up bc soon enough he will be in college..😂 but then nooooo!!! Bc his prints are everywhere! Reminds me of erkel..." Oh did I do thayaat?"
I can’t believe these monsters do what they do to these young children and then when they get 25 years/no parole they have the nerve to cry for themselves…unbelievable
Of course they are going to cry. It is a natural human emotion or reaction knowing that you are going to a place where you will have no freedom for 25 years, and knowing also that you could actually die there because no one anywhere likes what you are. I am not defending these monsters, it just makes perfect sense.
The sentence of anyone who takes a child's life should be solitary confinement for the length of time that the child should have lived. in that case 75 years at least, with NO chance of parole.
@@thechloechronicles9688 I don't agree, once dead the killer has escaped. Far better punishment to be locked in a room and reminded of why he is there, every day for the rest of his life.
Inspector Alain Bouchard is simply an amazing police officer. The care and meticulousness of his on-site investigation is simply amazing. Most police officers would probably have taken a cursory look, especially since nothing was actually stolen, and then shoved off. Imagine a scenario where more police officers would have his work ethic-crime would be virtually impossible to get away with and crime rates would fall quickly. The community being cared for by Inspector Bouchard is incredibly lucky.
Adults get in fights, irritate and antagonise each other so sometimes there may be a reason. Killing a child is inexcusable and should always be life! Not life, but they get out after an inadequate sentence. Life as in they die in prison!
They're very lucky to have received information from the dispatcher lady. I don't think they would have ever solved this case without the dispatcher's tip.
That's what they do in Canada child Killers murderers Mass shooters none of them get any more than 25 years I think only one or two people have ever gotten a life sentence in Canada and even then it wasn't a real life sentence they had a chance for parole. These countries like Canada the UK Australia they're all weak on crime.
@@ssoldie5490 I think life in prison without parole options is a more harsh punishment, because it has to be a living Hell, and at some point they are going to die in prison anyway. Life in prison is a living Hell because they either have to be kept in complete isolation for 'safety' reasons, or if they do end up spending time with others, they are often abused physically for being what they are. And if you are living in isolation at the mercy of the guards, how do you know that they are not peeing in your food every day? Things like this can happen to them.
I've just released my first true crime video and it's given me a new-found respect for creators like you! So much work goes into these videos - SUBSCRIBED!
I don't think she went with him willingly. I don't believe she would leave her friend's new bike out on the street to go off with a stranger to look at birds. Not buying that.
Problem was, he wasn’t a stranger. He played with us in the complex regularly and we knew him to be our “friend”. When the police asked us if we had seen any strangers, of course we said no because he wasn’t a stranger to us. He was “Mr. 😛 man” because we would always blow our tongues at him and he would reciprocate. It never occurred to our 9 and 10-year-old selves that it was not normal for a random young adult to play with a bunch of kids.
Just imagine how few if any sex crimes against children would be...if all offenders, even 1st timers were physically castrated...at min..life sentence or death penalty for assault or death of child... Or even if there was no offense if family of child were allowed to serve justice!
I love hearing how stealth RCMPs are allowed to be with their warrants (compared to how things are down here in the states).... I chuckled at the statement "they let him believe his car was stolen" while they conducted a detailed search on it! Well done investigation!
Horrific. And such a sewer filled location of sex offenders. Mind blowing what the community doesn't know, who lives next door. All crimes against children should be death row !!!!
@@progradepainting3755 Yes. There is no need for somebody to worry about the monsters who could be living down the street or even next door. There are two of them living down the street from me. I am thankful that i have no young children. My son is 41. He is a big boy - 6 feet tall and about 260 pounds.
@@Flamsterette human has become more sinister. More are not reading and practice the Bible because they never encountered the real demon. Like I did 30 yrs ago. Today I never see hear or encounter them since I accepted JESUS 30yrs ago . At deathbed I think only then human will think about where their spirit and soul will go once body goes ashes to ashes
Death penalty. Bring it back PLEASE there's millions of killers getting out in 5-25 years they'll do it again. Society used to RID itself of the problem & not have criminals allowed to live in society any more! That's what's for the best.
@Elizabeth Jarvie omg If they have no criminals they will die poor from all aspects in power, think how many will die and all legal and politicians will die as well poor? they make such to roll the ball on their lawn. so no criminals: no business, no power.
@@TariAkpodiete Yes, millions. Do you KNOW how many violent offenders are in jail? And they are only the on s who got caught! And, prosecuted. And, proven guilty. Which is ONLY about 20% of the real # of violent criminals on the streets free! And, with so many more being sentenced every day, and all the on s who get out i think society will be better ridding itself of them. No more re- offenders thank you.
The reason why it no longer is in place is that there is never a guarantee that a person is guilty. And one person executed in error is one too many. What do you say to the family of the innocent person that is executed? OOPS? Cops talking about public safety. They are often as big a risk to the public. If we rid ourselves of criminals half of them would be in the police force(if laws are enforced fairly). When they murder "I feared for my life" seems to get them off the hook.
The fact a detective is experienced to know the killer will move the body is impressive. I’d like to know the name of the first detective who realized a killer will move a body.
Why is Heather's bike lying on the street with wheel spinning if she went with Ertmoed voluntarily? Wouldn't you stand it somewhere and not leave it lying on the street?
There’s no way she went to his apartment willingly! She would never have abandoned her friend’s brand new bike to go look at pictures of birds with a guy she didn’t even know! I don’t buy it one bit! When the police said the front wheel of the bike was still spinning when it was found, i knew she had to have been taken not long before that. So sad
There are times when i refused watching real crimes done in Canada because when they get their sentence it is so lenient killing 1 or 2 victims with only 5 to 8 years sentence is so ridiculous ..
I'm not surprised parents may appear guilty in these cases. The often do feel guilty that they took their eyes off their kids, or let them play outside.....it's not the parents fault. It's the monsters among us who are guilty. How many kids - and even adult women, have been abducted from their beds in the middle of the night? I saw a case earlier where a maintenance guy was obsessed with a tenant in an apartment complex and she had turned him down for a date. She already had a boyfriend and had no interest in anyone else. Well he had a key fob to her apartment and he got in and waited for her. He abducted her at 5,30pm in the afternoon, getting her out of her bedroom window and into his vehicle with nobody seeing or hearing anything. He kept her prisoner somewhere and abused her for days and then he killed her. Investigators found her bedroom door barricaded from the inside and the only way out was through her bedroom window. And she had room mates but they weren't home at the time - the killer knew when to make his move. When the cops got inside her room they found a little bit of blood on her pillow case - he must have knocked her out before he dragged her out the window. Anyway, he was caught because of the key fob records in the office. It shows what time he entered her apartment, and how she entered soon after and he was waiting for her....there was no key fob record of either of them leaving through the front door. My point is that we are not even safe in our own homes, day or night.
He got out last year. He's only 44 and doing community service now. He's only of "average risk to sexually re-offend". So obviously, they don't care about little girls up there, letting him out, knowing he's still attracted to them.
60 sex offenders in a 4 block radius!!!!! I assume that’s just offenders with crimes relating to children. Ffs that’s absolutely terrifying, those local kids didn’t stand a chance. But again, SIXTY!!! And in such a tiny area.
@@tonyprice2256 what are you talking about? They don’t even enforce public urination laws, much less giving the bums sex offense charges for it anymore in the states, and especially in Canada, so no. They are all serious sex offenders.
@@progradepainting3755 Okay. I did not know that. I thought they were still putting people in jail for public urination. Well am glad they are not doing that anymore because they damn well used to.
You heard wrong, lady....He said there was 60 within a 4 block radius in Cloverdale...He also said that there were "thousands" within the community of Surrey (which had over 600,000 people living there 10 years ago)
What is wrong with Canada and the UK for that matter? The possibility of parole after 25 years? What about Heather, who got the death penalty? Too lenient.
Yes. Places like Texas are the opposite extreme compared to places like Canada. The trouble with Texas is that there could be a high percentage of innocent people locked up in their jails.
@@tonyprice2256 only leftists defend criminals. So you want lesser sentences for pedos and child murders because one of them might be innocent? Sound logic you got there.
@@progradepainting3755 No, i don't want that. I just want the system to not fuck up and put innocent people in jail. Because when you put an innocent person in jail just to close a case, the real criminal is still out there raping and killing! Got it now Einstein?
It seems they heard us complaining about the ad at the beginning of these videos being so loud it damn near blew our speakers and ears out. It didn't do that this time. I thank you. My ears thank you and my speakers thank you.
The guy confessed. Why did this go to trial at all and why did it take 5 months? Anyone a barrister in Canada that can explain this? I am just wondering why. In most countries a confession will stop the trial from happening and go straight to sentencing.
what the hell! sixty sex offenders within four blocks of the complex where her dad lived, how does that happen. were they having a convention. that alone shows the town and local police let that family down.
When the police have a policy to wait hours to investigate the disappearance of a missing child because they don't want to waste resources on a runaway, it uses the same flawed logic as a fire department waiting to put out a fire to ensure that it isn't a case of arson.
If not for everyone documenting all unusual behavior, from the dispatcher, to the investigator looking into the "break in" to the rangers calling in a weird, out of place vehicle this would be a cold case. If only all Pedos were locked up and the key thrown away, we would never have another child murder. Sexually motivated crimes are second only to murder. Their punishment should be more severe than they are.
Such a horrible thing to do to a child or anyone. I seriously feel while they were canvassing the residents leaving the complex their trunks maybe their trunks should've been looked into.
Did you use an actual photo of the victim as a thumbnail? I hope not and if this is someone's deceased child, you deserve whatever consequences come your way. Beyond distasteful, seriously shameful
I've finally figured it out: This Real Crime channel shows Canadian stories? I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Japanese-American. Since 2012, Vancouver BC has become my favorite vacation spot. As soon as I heard "Cloverdale," my eyes perked up! When they said "A suburb of Surrey," I got REAL excited! This story is right up my alley! I am most fascinated with cases in Washington, Oregon and British Columbia, because I can place myself at the scenes of the crimes. I'm watching this for the first time, and can already tell that this is going to be a great episode.
Even so,if put in alive, many do not have water in the lungs after drowning,it’s called “ dry drownings”. Regardless it’s evil no matter what this pos did, isn’t it ):
I'm definitely not that either , that she just went off with a stranger to go look at birds , she's 10 not 3 or 4 , he definitely snatched her by force. He's a sick individual , child predictor. I'm sure he's still behind bars . RIP Heather

They’re taking turns on a friends bike. No, if she was a responsible child, she wouldn’t do that. Not to look at pictures of birds! She’d be more concerned with getting the bike back because if she didn’t, she wouldn’t have got another ride. No, his answer is plain b……t! If you murder a person ( unless a darn good reason) you took a life, you give up your life in return. None of this pathetic 15, years or 25 years - whatever. Life means just that. Life. No appeals, no boo hoo’s I’m sorry. You took a child’s life! A sweet 10 year old child. You’ve scarred those children she was playing with for life! No - no. No sympathy at all for this guy 🙏🙏🙏🙏👵🇦🇺
We need to do something about poverty and trauma filled childhoods. Support the families so that they can raise healthy children. That'll help with a lot of these sexual deviants & pedos. Then we just focus on the ones who are born creeps
R.I.P Sweet Heather. It angers that they will one let this monster out, he can never be trusted not to do it again. Ge shoukd never walk among us again.
Doesn't matter if it's a child, abducted or raped or killed IF IT'S CANADA,THE PERPETRATOR WILL WALK THE STREETS AGAIN. Life means 20 yrs, means half for good behavior. CANADA JUSTICE IS VICTIMS LAST, Which is why I won't watch this. It's in Canada!
Like in England, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, denmark, many other places... but you know what th cost of life is in countries where laws are the opposite. That stupid DA didn't even rescind on their deal even when Homolka was proven to have lied
Did I miss it?...Was the killer picture exposed on this show?? Why doesn't this crime channel exposes the predators pictures?!...When that lil girl disappeared, surrounding her was 60 child molesters...We know most times these men can't be rehabilitated... Within months of release will repeat the same offense.... Another thing that is disturbing, many of them are parole for good behavior even though they was given life sentences.... The communities need to know who are those monsters living amongst us so we can Protect our children.... They judicial system, Judges, parole board officers and all involved,is as much to blame for the deaths of these innocent children and women when they send these murderers back into society....They should be held accountable.... Only God knows how many kids that man hurt before he killed that lil girl!!?... Release thier pictures so we know who those monsters are!!!!
Some criminals are so stupid or simply fools, I just watched another Investigation where the killer reported the victim as disappeared, but if he would have not reported, no one else would have file that report, so he actually started the investigation against himself, lol, same thing with this guy, he reports a robbery in his home, where the victim has been, so there are prints of her, anyway, I am glad they have no brain-
Sadly though, the world's very worst criminals are not stupid, and get away with the worst crimes of all. Hundreds of thousands of children vanish every year, and are never found! Most of them become child slaves of the ultra wealthy, and many of them are murdered for organ harvesting. Both of those activities are BIG MONEY criminal business!
Thank you!❤ I was born in England, right before the end of WW2... My mom English, dad American... They brought me to America when I was about 18 mo. old. Last time we visited i was 14... And even though there were 60 known perverts JUST IN THAT AREA, it was an unknown pervert that committed this crime. How many more UNKNOWN perverts could be out there operating under the radar?
@@tonyprice2256 Thousands Tony. But when they are identified, Canadian Law tends to treat them very leniently. Personally I wonder if the laws against pedophilia are so light because there are so many pedophiles in law, churches, schools, etc. It is a fact of life, where you have children, you will find pedophiles. Statistically as well, most pedophiles are white, married, religious males.
@@Brian1Graves do you have any idea how many pedos and sex offenders exist in places like Africa, Central America and the Middle East? The number is unfathomable. And there isn’t going to be any investigation when a child goes missing in those places. That’s why you don’t hear about it. It’s just a fact of life in those regions of the world.
@@progradepainting3755 Correct. But in Western countries such as we live in our laws should be much more strict they they currently are. A pedophile should never be free to molest a child once convicted. Of course, such a law would create a vast staffing shortage in the clergy of the countries, but that would be simply an added benefit. One might even argue in favour of death for convicted pedophiles.
@@Brian1Graves there’s no argument, they should be terminated the second they’re unconverted. It’s the left again who supports lesser sentences against child predators. The clergy is the least of our worries.
I just question why he would leave the bike outside with all the kids wanting to take turns. Where was his apartment to where he bike was found? De'De Kershaw The stars lined up for this case. R.I.P sweet child. Excellent work. De'De Kershaw
There are hundreds of thousands of new missing children every year! Nobody can keep track of all of them. I would guess that most of them end up as child slaves for the ultra wealthy, and some of them end up in involuntary organ harvesting situations.
Yup and we lived right up the street from where it happened my mom drove a blue Buick and we had almoat daily visits from cops they were just always in our yard. Then they advised we just tarp the car and get a new one cause there were reports everytime we left the house. While it sucked to be harassed I do have to say the cops and everyone in the public were all over it. We couldn't afford another car so we just got used to being followed and reported.
