I had to do it to em This is literally my favourite moment now All belongs to DC Universe and the creators of Young Justice Tumblr: / wrongyoungjustice Twitter: / uuuuuhhhhlana
You know what I really miss? The way Dick back in season one would go all ninja and disappear like Batman... but then you just hear him laughing cos he's actually having fun.
Yeah but you got to see that he was only like that because he didn't have that much responsibility to shoulder. it was always batman who held on to that burden. Then Dick goes from Robin a sidekick and follower to his own man and leader Nightwing who carries a-lot of responsibilities not only for himself but for others. He cant just enjoy what he does anymore because it could hurt those he leads down the road
He used to have fun, but ever since he grew up, he lost a brother (Jason Todd/Robin 2), teammates, and a best friend (Wally West/Kid Flash 1), his playfulness has subsided in favor strategies and trying his best to be like Batman, someone who always have a back up plan.
I feel they could have keep them as kids for the second season then do a time skip in the third or fourth season or better yet show them aging each season instead of immediately making them Adults
Back when the cast wasn't over sized. There is a such thing as too many characters lol. Season 1 was probably my favorite season. Season 3 was pretty good but something about season 1's charm and how it focused more on character arcs rather then an over arching arc for the whole season like the last two seasons.
Tbh I really feel sorry for dick he really misses his bestfriend as we all would. But it's hard for him to let go and I really hope we get 2 or 3 episodes with him dealing with it.
Man that’s got to be horrible. Falling into the delusion then coming back to reality and remembering that your best friend is dead, after a small period where he could pretend that he was making new memories with him
Wally would be touched that his best pal still remembers him good thing it was a hack instead of a fight if they weren't mind linked they'd be fairly confused and aqualad thinking they should've made him sit that one out
@@RoronoaZoro-ur6hr it's cause it's the most upbeat. Every new season of YJ gets darker and more grim. First season was full of young hope and new experience. Now it's about covert deception, betrayal, older and more jaded to the world.
@Scorpio Bradley Yeah, I used to find it annoying back then, but then when Outsiders premiered I realized how much I've missed the catchphrase. It definitely grows on you.
It's hard to feel the same, it's probably no even a physical wear down as He's still in his prime physically, but he hasn't been able to feel the old school rush of being a hero in years.
micheal jordon played a championship game with a fever and it was one of his highest scoring. The heat the blood flow honestly it's not surprising that combined with miss martians telepathic link to the team that he was just as good at hacking.
Lol remember in batman Arkham knight when batman got gassed. Yeah he was even more dangerous. Batman may treat some of his proteges dirty, but I'd be lying if if I'd say he didn't train them to be beast in any situation
Rama D yeah, years later and he’s still having slip ups with names, his subconscious brings him back and he’s constantly surrounded by the people wally worked with. I feel like dick always just moved on to the next thing, like he’s only 90% come to terms with it and is just keeping himself busy. He seems to fully acknowledge it, but emotionally I don’t think he’s ever fully recovered from it
@Scorpio Bradley Bring back a dead character after a season's worth of people grieving and coming to terms with his passing? Oh yeah, that sounds like quality storytelling. Wally should stay dead. In general, dead characters should stay dead.
@Scorpio Bradley Yeah, but the only reason we invest in any of it is because the emotions are real. When we have scenes like this, of Dick having a fever dream about a lost friend and a childhood that has passed, it resonates because it's real and relatable. If you invalidate a whole season's worth of emotions, there is no reason to give a shit about any of this. Thankfully, it's not going to happen, because Greg Weisman isn't a massive hack.
@Scorpio Bradley There are ways to write positive emotons in ways that are actually relatable and mean something. Having your dead friend miraculously return is not relatable, and thus has no resonance as a story element. At best, it'd have about the same resonance of finding a toy you thought you lost. But if you don't mind that, why stop there? Why not bring back Bruce Wayne's parents? Or hell, restore Krypton? After all, that would make the characters quite happy, and if that's the main thing you care about, well, it's a world of fantasy where anything can happen!
@@BarnabusBarbarossa In my opinion, bringing Wally back wouldn't invalidate the development we got this season. It would just make it more interesting to see how the characters would react to his returrn after they've gone through the grieving process.
I was worried the hallucination would fade and it would reveal Nightwing attacked his team. Instead I was served a big ol heap of nostalgia from when I was 10
As for me I kinda find it badass that he's the only one without powers and tripping balls while having a fever dream but still managed to take everyone out
They wouldn't have let him get far doing that aquaman would've simply pinned him down since he's alot stronger and splash water on him thus bringing The hallucination to an end miss martian , artimis and superboy would go ahead due to his promise to oracle he would stay back with nightwing as they would agree he should stay out of it
I love the original kid flash but with this and Artemis kid flash scene I hope kid flash stays dead everyone including fans have finally accepted that he's not coming back bring him back and these 2 scenes lose all the emotions and purpose
@@otakuprince When Artemis' "therapy session" happened, I was honestly accepting that perhaps they want to leave Wally's fate in actual permadeath. There is purpose in accepting the consequences of that and exploring the impact it has had on everybody. However, if Wally's resurrection can serve a crucial purpose to the story in later seasons, then I'm all for that too!
It's been 9 years since we got to update the Dicktionary and just... seeing them in their og costumes and hearing the season 1 theme killed me with feels. I miss Wally so much it hurts
At season 1 you could see how much Robin/nightwing had fun, dick likes being Robin for the thrill thats probably why he out grew it, i feel like dick in s2+ was less energetic and happy, but he did have his moments where he was acting like his old self
@@wickedshadesproductions5254 I guess, it's just sad, but you can definitely see the character improvement so I'm not that upset about it anymore that much:)
I actually haven’t finished watching Young Justice because of all the negativity. There’s no more Dick as Robin making jokes and Wally having fun spitting out jokes with Robin, all the negativity is outweighing any positivity and the team is just not the same without Wally 😭😭😭
I will never forgive HBO & WB for canceling this show again! They couldn't even bother bringing Wally back before canceling it! 😫😭 I'm going to miss him and the others so much!
Memories of YJ season 1!😃😭 I think this little fever dream just helped Dick to snap out of it and remember who he really wants to be as a hero...HIMSELF!
More than likely its probably Wally having some type of influence from the Speed Force. It can't be a coincidence that this is his second "dream sequence" he even mentioned monkeys too
This just further proves why this team just works and should've never been broken apart i understand for plot and growth and future but I wish they went back to their roots from season 1
I think what could have made season 2 better is if the characters were still teenagers and then in the later seasons have them grow into adults. If I worked on season 2, I would have it involve the struggles the characters are going through with their personal lives and their lives as superheroes sort of like what Spider-Man 2 did. For Wally, he is a senior in high school and his life as Kid Flash is taking a serious tole on him; he’s always late for school, his grades are declining, he can’t get to family gatherings on time, and he can’t stay awake during missions. And this gets so bad that even his relationship with Artemis is beginning to become strain as it’s more clear that they romantically love each other and she’s worried about what’s going on with Wally. Eventually, it could lead to the point where Wally stops being Kid Flash completely. For Dick, he’s struggling with not being able to tell his friends his real name or everything about his past which is straining his mentorship with Batman and making Zatanna worried about him just like Artemis is worried about Wally’s struggles. Miss Martian and Superboy could be struggling with their relationship because M’gann is becoming more and more powerful in terms of her psychic powers and is worried that she might destroy Connor’s mind just like what she did to Psimon back in season 1 so she breaks up with him until she can get better control over her powers and then by the end of the season, she eventually does get better control of her powers and she and Connor continue with their relationship since he still loved her and didn’t want to move on. Zatanna could be struggling with accepting her father being the new host for Doctor Fate and desperately wants to try and undo the mistake she thought she made and this puts strain on her relationship with Dick and especially Artemis who just wants to be there for her sad friend. Artemis could be going through the same struggles as Wally such as not being able to get to Gotham Academy on time. And finally for Rocket, she could struggle with making her place on the team since she is still new to it all, but Zatanna and Kaldur, continues to try and help her get more use to being on the Team. All I’m just trying to share is what I would have done if I wrote season 2. By having all the characters struggling with their personal lives and their lives as superheroes, it helps you relate to them even more and then by the end of the season, you are happy they’re able to overcome their struggles because they understand that they need each other to deal with situations like this.
Ok so my theory is that kid flash (wally) is trapped in the speed force, he wasn't super fast in the show to run up a straight wall (or at lease I don't think he could) plus when Zetana tried to call his soul she couldn't. Plus I honestly feel like he isn't dead, he showed up in Robin's fever dream AND Beast Boy's coma dream and in both instances he was acting as though he wasn't dead but rather that he had been with them that whole time. Yes, they were hallucinating that he was there as if he hadn't died but take that context and throw it out the window and what's left? K.F. being alive and well.
Haha nice joke, the episode 8 of season 4 is better than all season 3 bro. Season 4 will be better than 3, it’s not difficult to be better than that shit
@@jaydez5698 you’re the first person that likes more the third season than fourth, I didn’t find a person don’t like that season. Only the final part of season 3 was good, in season 4 we can see again the real protagonist, and not a useless Muslim girl, a stupid and an angry European guy, and a bug. And a lot of things more, the season 1 will be always the best season.
@@gafitas05 I didn’t say I liked the third season. I only said this 2 minute clip is better than season 4 up to a point. Season 3 as a whole is bad but season 4 is plain boring focused on bland storylines that take too long to get to the point. The new “arc by arc” structure is so disjointing.
Season 3 was full of trippy fan service. First Beast Boy having a whole manic episode that was literally a crossover with Teen Titans Go, and then Nightwing thinking he was in Season 1 😂 Poor bastards 😐
I read somewhere that Wally was stuck in the Speed Force one time, why can’t they do that for this show!? There’s a chance to bring back Wally back and they’re not taking it!! I want Wally back!!
1. For Greg Wiseman speed-force is a not necessary concept to explain speedsters powers and he hate it. So maybe Speed-force exists in YJ universe *but* is not important to the story! 2. You red a fan theory. Maybe he is in Speed Force maybe not (for Greg is not!) But even if he stays in speed Force ... Are we sure that a Wally's return will be the better choice for the narration?
TBH, I'm honestly expecting Wally to come running out of the Speed Force any day know. Also, as for where he's been all this time, one has to take into account that DC has a Functional Multiverse that tends to range from 52 or so Worlds, to literal Infinite ones and it's been Canon ever since DC first established said Multiverse that Flashes are able to travel to said worlds utilizing the Speed Force
Its year 2046 Young Justice was just brought back from cancelation for the 5th time. We are on season 12. People still think Wally is going to return any day now.
A wally return is necessary? Well, depend from the next time-skip. If the time is so long, maybe is bettern that Wally doesn‘t come back! and, of course, it depends also if Greg wants keep a more darker gargoyles tonw or not (Wally is too fun) and if he wants concentrate the show on new generation or not (garfield, bart, el dorado ...)
@@somegeezer6439 they have a Lower budget than the previous seasons so they have to make use with what they have. Its not lazy its the lack of funding.
@@somegeezer6439 and that's exactly what they did. Especially since they didn't know if they were gonna get a season 4 or not. So they had to cut corners on some parts because they're on a set schedule that they have to meet. They got a season 4 now so they're most likely gonna get a higher budget.
It's a fever dream, so it won't be as fluid as real life. Plus it's through the perspective of a younger Dick who saw everything as a game, and thus, it looks and feels like a video game.
This scene threw me for a loop when I first saw it. For a second I thought I accidentally switched to an older episode. Then I thought for a brief instant that this was the new kid flash from the future. Then i thought that maybe I misremembered what happened to this guy at the end of the beetle season...
