The Department of Education, CTA recently organized a leadership workshop for school prefects and captains of Tibetan schools in Dharamshala. There are a growing number of students from Himalayan communities enrolling in Tibetan schools, the commonality of the language and culture, backed by the historical kinship between Tibet and Himalayan region help them adjust more readily to Tibetan educational institutes. We sat down with prefects from Himalayan region, currently enrolled in Tibetan schools and Tibetan prefects after the workshop.
