Im am so happy for you that your surgery was a success. Im sure your family is absolutely thrilled. I remember when this procedure first came out and i was furtunate enough to watch it on tv. What i was shocked about it that you are wide awake during the procedure because you have to participate. Medicine is just amazing. God Bless you and your family.
So wonderful seeing you able to enjoy life with your daughter. I watched a documentary about deep brain stimulation on a young girl from Australia. But she had severe tourettes. She had to be placed in a facility at 16 because she could not stop destroying everything in her parents house and would physically hit them or others if they were near. She was so sweet and apologized each time even though it was not her fault. She had DBS and it completely stopped most of her symptoms. Unfortunately she had an infection and had to reverse what drs had done. Now as an adult she is super happy and lives on her own overcoming obstacles everyday with a smile on her face.
I hope others can be helped by DBS. So happy it worked for you. We had a friend who suffered from Parkinson and when visited him with our children he would cry because we really cared for him. Horrible disease.❤❤❤❤❤
Saw a very interesting documentary on Parkinsons and certain chemicals like TCE and PARKs one is found in herbicides the other in dry cleaning settings. Very interesting
