I really like that we didn't get to see what happens after Wilhelm closed the blinds, it's really like they have finally gotten their privacy ^^

I love that the final scene was fade to black, it's Wille and Simon finally reclaiming their privacy and intimacy and no one is allowed in. I think that was such a beautiful message. Also, I don't regard that as their goodbye, if we learned anything from this season it's that they can't stay apart. So them being at the same school as what.... friends? Yeah, never gonna happen.

The book scene was so important. The director said she had to fight for it to stay in, which is shocking. It relates so perfectly.

“it’s painful to watch, but the reward is so good at the same time” EXACTLY WHY I LOVE SEASON 2 TOO… not to mention wilmon’s INSANE chemistry this season. edvin and omar themselves said on a recent interview that they felt like their chemistry got even better this season bc they became close friends after s1 so they’re more comfortable to explore and have fun on the romantic scenes and to me IT SHOWS… the few intimate scenes we get this season are even more electric and intense than the s1 ones, i think because now there’s that extra longing and desire that they portray so well. i’m obsessed with this couple!!!!

I ADORE how you get both sides, especially understand Simons, so many people overlook his pain and what he’s gone through

Fun fact: the tailor that's making Wilhelm's clothes in one of the scenes is a real famous tailor here in Sweden, that makes clothes for a lot of celebs including the real royal family, for various award shows, events and the Nobel prize gala.

Also, Simon telling Markus he isn't ready for anything serious. Markus: Sure we have time. Shows up everywhere with him, establishing himself as BF and even telling his Mother about them being together. WTF.

The way August traumatized everyone with the blinds situation🤣 name me ONE person who didn't freak out about closing the blinds at the end.

This EP was deep in so many ways... The scenes with the therapist are always spot on... Wille realizing he actually has no choice and his body responding to that... Wow! Edvin's acting is something else... Let me tell you... And the last scene... Beautiful...

This episode is honestly my favourite besides the last one for obvious reasons The fact that Wilhelm did his speech in front of Simons friends shows them how much he means to Wilhelm The parallels of the book scene and their story was such a nice touch Finally the fact that when Wille closed the curtains and the camera turned away from them was like they were finally able to have their privacy, since we already know what they were going to do Honestly this season was amazing, we definitely need at least one or two more seasons to wrap up their story

I think Wilhelm regained Simon's trust by offering to give up the crown for him and supporting his decision. I think it plays directly into the decision Simon makes in the finale

I totally agree with you Adam… Edvin and Omar oh god they have such good chemistry I have never seen this kind of chemistry… literally their glances touches kisses oh god all have so much feels.. I just love them and yes manifesting with you season 3 and more if all coming seasons be like this one ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I won’t stop telling everyone and everywhere that this season is so SO much better than the first one. And I love the first season too, but this one is just wow. So much happened, and the tension, the feelings, the intimacy and love, and drama. God❤️‍🔥 And the acting of all of them to be honest was incredible and kinda improved. And also the parallels with the first season💔💔💔 I just can’t. I guess my heart belongs to this series forever now

The Queen knew exactly what she was doing! She knew that if she told Wilhelm that August would take over if he couldn’t handle it that that would motivate him. She picked the person who he hated the most because she knew Wilhelm would respond.

This episode was the best in many ways. Firstly, the fact that Wille is ready to do everything to be with Simon, he is going to risk his life and his position and also the relationship with his family, then the book analysis - they both understood their perspective, Simon realized that Wille is forced to be a prince and do this and I also really like that they were completely honest with each other and that Wille let Simon to decide what to do, I think that what Wille told Simon in front of his home convinced him that Wille is not a bad guy, because he told him the truth, how he feels, he let him decide, he wasn´t angry that he will do it, and the end? I was so happy that they kissed but I felt uncomfortable because of the curtains... Smart Wille! I am looking forward to your reaction on episode 6, you´re gonna die, cry and everything. :-)

I love the book scene cuz it definitely represented wille and Simon. It made them understand each other’s POV

The effect our Wilmon has on their audience is just so amazing, and that's due to the phenomenal script, the sensational soundtrack and most of all, the seriously freaking PHANTASTIC acting of Edvin and Omar and practically every-bloody-one in the show. This is my absolute favourite episode. Wille has shown such amazing character growth just in this episode alone. I loved the scene when they were discussing the book as it really began to show that they are both beginning to see each other's perspectives. I also love the way Wille has been trying to protect Simon and make him happy (even though sometimes it may have been misguided). This episode was pitch perfect in my opinion. Great reaction as always and really insightful comments. We will all manifest season 3 and 4 :D Overall I prefer this season because while it was a painful rollercoaster it just showed such depth and dimension to all the characters, including August. They are all amazing actors.

every word they said to eo was important for their growth even that hurts seeing them fighting i love how in this ep they actually starts to understand more each others side thats why that scene where they are talking about the book is so beautiful and special

I felt personally offended when they interrupted Simon's song and said that they will not perform it.

I also understand it from both sides. Wilhelm wanted to protect Simon, because he felt, The case would be so hard or maybe even impossible to win, and Simon being angry, that he took away his right to deside, and took away his chance to even try to do something about it sooner. But Wilhelms talk at Simons house was good, putting so much trust in him in this difficult situation, and he would respect whatever Simon chose. And it would make Simon trust him again at least slowly, and not being frustrated and saying, it was kinda too big of a choice to throw at him.

I totally agree with the point about Sara and the video! The whole season ofc I was angry with August but I feel like honestly Sara’s just as bad cos she knew how bad he hurt Simon and yet she didn’t say anything AND then starts going out with August like wtf

I was so mad they wouldn’t let Simon sing his version of the song!! It’s so beautiful and I love it more than the school’s song!!! It’s not fair like wth!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Yeah no, the queen is definitely not supporting Wille unconditionally. Literally the opposite I´d say ;) Pressuring and manipulating him is more like it. We´ve never seen her do anything else. Wille might believe the things she tells him, because he´s a kid and he wants to and needs to, but we know she´s never his mom and always has a royal strategic agenda. She always acts as queen first and we can and should totally question her and her words. She´s likely playing both August and Wille to keep them in check. All the court wants is to keep the royal institution going, by whatever means. The crazy and cruel thing is of course that she will sound like a mom sometimes, but Wille has no way of separating it, and even we as the audience fall for that. It´s so well done.

This is my favorite episode of S2! I’ve been waiting for your reaction since the first time I saw it. It’s funny how when I watch these shows I’m like OMG Adam is going to lose it! Thanks for making us laugh and hope we get a S3!!!

I don't trust the queen any further than I could shove her with my wheelchair. Not only was her asking Wilhelm to wait 2 years to come out sus as hell, but when she had her employee ask August if he was straight when they were vetting the potential "issues" that could come up with August becoming king, I KNEW she wasn't supportive of Wilhelm being queer. If she didn't care that Wilhelm was queer, why would she care if his backup wasn't straight? Shouldn't she support any person taking the monarcy being queer if she was truly an ally to her family/monarchy? She wanted a straight heir, pure and simple, and she sees Wilhelm being queer as an issue- if not personally, than for the monarchy. I know people in real life who convinced their kid to wait until he was 18 to come out and then forced him into conversion therapy when the time for him to come out arrived. I think the queen is a liar and full of garbage. Yes, it is sweet that August bought Sara Rousseau, and I think it shows he has genuine feelings for her (his King August/Queen Sara speech did make me want to barf though.) His gift of Rousseau was still really thoughtless though, proving August will ALWAYS put himself first. How the hell is Sara supposed to afford a thoroughbred horse? Or any horse for that matter? August may have bought the physical horse, but horses cost to feed, board, vet bills, etc. Sara had to put her own food back when her friends thoughtlessly left it for Sara to her pay for all of their coffees that one morning.) August thinks nothing through. He's doing the exact same to Sara.

I think the speech is important bc it honors the 120th anniversary of a school that the Royals have been attending for decades. It's a special thing and is good optics if it's given by the newly crowned prince, who's currently a student there. IMHO

I kind of love how "want" in swedish sounds similar to "Wille". I dont speak swedish but this seems so fitting to me!

Yeah, the whole wait-til-18 was kind of bull. They'd already denied the relationship with Simon, so it would make the crown look bad if Wilhelm was then in a public relationship with the same person from the video. The Queen was counting on him changing his mind about at least Simon specifically by then.

i love one part of this episode is that when they at the tabile talking about the book but u can see they are talking about each other so they can understand each other that was realy good and u can tell in there eyes the eyes are the answer how they are feeling toword each other and withot anyone knows they are talking to each other about how they both are feeling.and you can tell they still love each other but it hard for both of them because of everything going on between them. and there passion; connection and there chemistry is so speical and they got strong feelings for each other but they have to work together to make it work between them.

Simon's version of the song was about his feelings for Wilhelm. I can understand why the traditional version would be more suitable for this occasion.

As for Sara: she told Simon one bad decision doesn't make a bad person (something like this) and I think its how she feels about August. However, the fact August is willing to selling his father's art - which he didn't even do for saving his own ass to stick at school - and calling her his queen was just so sweet. He's treating her so different to Felice and he not for a second seems to feel shamed about her or whatever. He would love to go public with her. He's there when she needs him despite hurting him. It was this moment August proved to me he has a kind heart buried somewhere inside of him and what he'll do for her in the Finale definitely made him climb on my personal ladder.

This show has everything..had it been original English..it would have had the media attention ect that Heartstopper got..but for me I prefer this show..typical Scandenavian ..realistic.. .........brilliant acting..down to earth..

I think it wasn't so much the video that f***ed Simon up at that point (I believe he almost has like "made his peace" with this sh*t) - in the end it really was the smirky glance that August gave Sara at the reading that Simon misread as a condescending towards him that made Simons decision... just watch again. In this show there are so so many tiny details that will only present themselves if you are very focussed and attentive or watch it for like the thousandth time 😉

i know i'm months late to comment on this but i found the comments regarding the royal family really interesting - specifically when wille is on the phone with his mother about the speech and august being the backup. i don't think the mother is inherently homophobic. she said before when she spoke to august about being the backup that she supports him 100%... and also that she wants him to make a decision when he is older. the fact of the matter is that royal families are not necessarily homophobic (i think in this day and age, sweden would be a good example as the country is so advanced in regards to same-sex relationships) but their very existence relies on heterosexual relationships; specifically in this instance. if the show was real life - wille is the last in the line of succession who has true royal blood. if he had other siblings or family members who were in the line of succession, his relationship with simon wouldn't be the issue it is with the royal court - as there would be other ways for the royal family to continue being sustained (in my opinion).

I think Kristina miscalculates Wilhelm's feelings and is going to explode at her face. I believe she wants Wilhelm to be the future king and I really think she doesn't mind her son is lgtbiq+ but she needs him to produce a heir at all cost. She is pressuring Wilhelm into give a heir to the Monarchy because he is her son and (probably) loves him although sometimes doesn't seems like it but the Monarchy needs a heir. Making August the possible future king puts Wilhelm in a position that favores the Monarchy: Wilhelm with a wife and a pair of kids (and a male lover if he prefers men over women) to continue their linage. Putting August in second position is not a move to pressure Wilhelm to fail but a way of pressuring Wilhelm to be the king, to put aside his feelings and get under the established rules of the Monarchy. And Kristina said if August is going to be her successor and not Wilhelm, it is going to be less unnatural if August has a role (Wilhelm's older one) inside the Royal Family to ease the transition. She is not talking about Wilhelm's sexuality at all. By the way, I'm from a country with an established monarchy and we had in the first years of s.XIX a king that "wore more ruffles than his wife". This was sung at the time and we have written songs and chronicles about the tastes in men of this king. Everybody knew he was gay: his wife, his family, all the citizens... but he married and had kids (and possibly none of them his) to maintain the charade of a conventional family. This little episode in my country History is the motive that makes me think Kristina is aiming to achieve doing to Wilhelm.

I will forever believe the second season is better than the first especially after most of the second seasons that have come out this year that were bad when the first season was amazing

Young Royals WILL be renewed because it's the most streamed Netflix Nordic show ever, and by a huge margin. Instead of manifesting, rewatch the show and petition for 2 more seasons aka the Heartstopper treatment.
