He got jenova cells.. thats why.. its sad that he didn't have no one to save him..they only blamed him when he got crazy.. the same thing is happening with cloud but luckily he has friends ❤

it certainly explains alot about Sephiroth's prefer method of torturing Cloud during FF7 and FF7remake timeline. Himself going through the same kind of mental torture gives him first hand experience how effective they are.

IMO because the current games will turn him into less of an absolute villain and may grow in Hojo and/or Jenova significance. ..which really isn't a change as much as it is an education of what could have been intended anyway.

@@SwobyJ He still a absolute villain no matter how we see things. It is just now we get a bit more context into why he became so twisted into such a absolute villain role.

@@orrthehunter At soon as anyone gets any sympathy for the circumstances of his origins, he's not absolute. So he never was, really. That key word is 'absolute', see the definition. Villainous antagonist still, sure. Apocalyptic crisis causer, totally. And also a sad case corrupted at several angles. He arguably doesn't even deserve any sympathy, but he's going to get it sometimes, from some people, and that's by design. There's plenty better examples of what an 'absolute villain' would be. Sephiroth's added material more often reinforces the sad backstory than it forces in deep hatred of him. Even Remake's constant jamming of him down our throats ended with a rather strange and calmed scene where its almost like he has better aims than before.. (we'll see about that ha). If you mean he has had the consistently worst intentions for the 'good guys', then yes, I'd take that definition for 'absolute villain', no worries. But I usually try to go deeper into the character for that.

Fr. THIS is something I'd like to see them release as a movie, if they don't make it into a more polished realistic game...
