@@joshuahecht6866 Well he prevented Zemo from killing himself, Zemo wasn't planning on doing anything further and he's shown that he can still get whatever he wants done from in jail anyways.
It probably would’ve came full circle even if he didn’t kill his brother but yeah that’s a crazy way of looking at it I wonder if they did it intentionally
This is so powerful. It shows how different T'challa from his father...Tchaka expected his own brother to bow before him but t'challa didn't even want an outsider (banner) to bow
It's not correct as N Jobu was the citizen of Wakanda so he bought to kneel infront his king T chaka . In case of T Challa Bruce Banner was not the citizen of Wakanda and being an outsider T Challa is not the king for him
@@chinmayeelenka9589 actually we've seen how T'Challa interacts with his sister and when she called him "my king" or probably did anything along the line of respecting a king its more like she is teasing him as T'Chale himself said so there is a difference in how they treat their siblings.
@@nathanlatham5651 yeah that and the updated suit is so much less threatening, especially the mask. totally would have preferred if they just kept the suit from civil war. Would have been less expensive and cooler
I count 3, the opening, the flashback where Zuri tells T’Challa the truth (because it shows things you don’t see in the opening), and Killmonger’s dream.
But Mr Brown still one of my favourite actors of all the time he gets a bigger role in another billion dollar movie and that's Frozen 2 as General Mattius, King Angaar former bodyguard when he was a child and he treated the young king like a son so that's why, I like Mr Brown because he makes a good father figure actor on my opinion if that's okay to say
@The Krimson Kommando if anything Michael should’ve played young James but he’s too famous for such a small role. Idris Elba would’ve been a good n’jobu but again to small of a role
I loved how zuri used American sarcasm to sound more American " these two grace Jones looking chicks they're holding spears" the actor totally nailed it
@@tnbn55 Uh, the powers can be taken away. Pretty sure T'Chaka gave up his powers when T'Challa was old enough to be Black Panther, thus he lost all his herb-induced enhancements and aged normally.
Here’s a fun fact - 1992 was the year that they starting developing a Black Panther movie and Wesley Snipes at one point was heavily attached to the role before he went on to play Blade.
We have no info on the plot of Wakanda Forever, but a theory I have had is that it will center around a young T'Chaka and other great kings and queens of the Wakandan age while Shuri ascends to the throne after T'Challa's death, and it would be kind of awesome to see John Kani's son return in a larger role.
@@xxwhispersxx2856 It's not just that the father and son played the role at different ages. It's how fine of a job they did. Even in such short scenes, they both gave a richness to the character than stood out.
I always loved how T'Chaka's suit, having been made in the early 90's, is still super advanced but clearly less advanced than T'Challa's modern suit, given that T'Chaka has to manually take his helmet off as opposed to it just forming thanks to nano tech.
You see a similar progression with Tony's later Iron Man suits vs. his early ones, which happen once the rest of the world catches up to Wakanda in the technology race.
Its more cause Disney stopped doing practical costumes and just CGI's everything now, so making masks and helmets retractable is easier to do. Which ticks me off cause I prefer the practical suits, which is why T'Chaka's suit is so loved. Its practical, real, and hand made
@@puffpuffpassmako Well Disney was copying the nanotech suits from the comics. T’Challa and Tony had multiple suits that simply morphed onto their body in the comics
Fun Fact: Atandwa Kani, the actor who plays the younger version of T'Chaka, is the real-life son of John Kani, the actor who plays the older version of T'Chaka.
@@ericperkins971 I agree, he´s such a fantastic character and we could explore more about Wakanda while we have more time to recover from Chadwick´s passing
I think the reason everyone loves T'Chaka's costume is cause of one thing: its practical. Disney CGI's everything nowadays, including costumes. But here we see an actual, crafted costume that the actor is wearing. Every detail and sculpt on the suit is hand made, and its something we all can appreciate since its a rarity now
Speaking of them, I wonder what they’re thinking, like a whole gun just went off in N’jobu’s apartment , they probably decided it was best not to say anything to anyone lol
I love how in just 5 min you get a perfect representation of two sides of the same coin N’Jobu wants to help the world but in a bad way he literally says “We could give them the weapons that they could use to overthrow these governments and then Wakanda could rule them! The right way!” That’s not freedom that’s Tyranny T’Chaka is not the king of every black person He is the king of Wakanda he must look after HIS people and you can’t just justify a world wide racial war because of social injustice While T’Chaka was always reserved he never intervened in the world or its problems he never aided anyone in wars or helped the poor across the world he just sat by and did...nothing “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing”-Edmund Burke You see that they are both sides of the same coin One wants extreme action to be taken One doesn’t want any action to be taken.. and then this of course leads to T’Challa and Killmongers conflict Killmonger wants the same as his father but with more imperialism he even says later in the film that the sun will never set on the Wakandan empire WHILE T’Challa started out like his father but grew to realize IT WAS WRONG You cannot just stand by as the world burns and tears itself apart BUT at the same time you cannot just go and conquer everyone to bring about equality T’Challa is neither one side of the coin or the other but by the end of the film he is the balance like when you flip the coin and it lands perfectly on its edge.....
“Throughout history, it has been the inaction of those who could have acted; the indifference of those who should have known better; the silence of the voice of justice when it mattered most; that has made it possible for evil to triumph” - Haile Selassie I
Freedoms are petty and make things worse sometimes. It was the very same freedom and democracy made injustice possible. Black oppression, witch trials, other oppresion, and stupid shits like spreading viruses are done because democracy. Because people have too much freedom on their hand. A good tyranny will ALWAYS be better than a good democracy.
damn. you really feel N'jobu. He's not really a bad guy. He just wanted to help harmed people in other countries but couldn't have permission from his own home.
He was wearing vibranium suit, he could just grab the gun and block the bullet in his hand just like his son did with zemo. And yeah, he could've just knocked him out.
@@gurmansinghtakhar5098 And somehow he saw Africa as an alright place... The guy was an idiot, a romantic revolutionary who thought he could save the world with enough force.
I mean he's still technically an outsider, he wasn't born in wakanda. Seeing as wakanda literally never let outsiders in, it makes sense that they didn't take Eric
@@eurasianbrother1710 which was also dumb because if T'Chaka had just gone home with the truth and Erik in tow everything would have turned out a lot better. "I T'Chaka, your King **pause for polite applause** killed my brother, your Prince, **pause for shock and awe** in self-defence after he aided a terrorist in stealing our Vibranium and murdering our citizens. Justice has been served tonight, Goodnight and Bast bless Wakanda. **more applause** " Erik would have grown up resenting the royal family and treated as the son of a traitor but otherwise have enjoyed a privileged life in Wakanda. The best case scenario is if T'Chaka brought both N'Jobu and his son back. Which he could have done. Easily. No difficulty at all. He had already disarmed the guy. Plunging his razor sharp panther claws into his brother was not necessary. Just slap some cuffs on him and kidnap the boy outside. Problem solved. If you're feeling extra generous break the boy's mother out of jail and take her to Wakanda too.
N'jobu was so tunnel-visioned about helping black people throughout the diaspora, that he failed to consider the ramifications of distributing vibranium all over. In particular, those very people selling drugs and engaging in gun violence getting ahold of vibranium based weapons. And what about sellouts handing it over to governments? They would become greedy for more of it, and could ultimately discover Wakanda.
He did say Wakanda was going to rule over the world, i think arming people and causing mass destruction would have made the world to unite against Wakanda and i do not think they could have won.
@@Raximus3000 you’re kidding right?? Thanos weapon from his ship couldn’t even penetrate Wakanda which is why they sent all those Billions of Outriders (dog looking things). What hope would man made weapons have??
I don’t think N’jobu’s plan was to simply pass out vibranium weapons to random people out on the street “selling drugs and engaging in gun violence...” He did say “and Wakanda could rule them all the right way.” He probably had a more sophisticated plan than that.
@@aristeed3895 Sophisticated does not mean intelligent. People usualy react badly to force. In all likelyhood he was only spreading Wakandan tech around for others to study. Secrecy was part of Wakanda's defences and he was going to cmprimise them.

@@DESTROY3R05 some of us do not speak english neither good at listening And youtube subtitle not working well sometimes So comment like this is really helpful
As much as I loved the actors who played T'chaka-John and Atandwa Kani-who were father and son-I always thought it was a wasted opportunity that they did not cast Djimon Hounsou as T'chaka. He had voiced T'challa himself in animated adaptations a couple of times and his presence as T'chaka would have been insane. Also, T'chaka's black panther suit? Uff. Too damn good.
Djimon Honsou was already in GOTG. And while we do have actors play multiple roles, it's normally not major ones. Like we had that actress go from ayong a Kree to playing an Eternal. But she was blue skinned as a Kree. Honestly if Djimon had gone with the blue skin as his character is supposed to have in the comics in the first place, then he could have easily been in Black Panther in some roles.
The actor the got to play young Tchaka is perfect cause he does favor Chadwick in ways, even in photos you can see theybway they even have that similar smirk. It makes it really believable that he is the Younger version of T'Challa's father and Klaws statement " you look just like your old man" actually fits...Along older Tchaka is believable being Tchallas father as well..and what's more fascinating is that both actors who play Tchaka are father and son. Talk about perfect casting
did anyone else get spooked by Tchaka's sudden arrival? When I saw this in theaters his sudden appearance, sound, and look scared me for the slightest moment.
Yes. It must be very hard, killing a man you've just disarmed when you're a super soldier and already have the poor guy surrounded, outnumbered and with no way to escape. Stand up guy that T'Chaka.
@@RobinXlone His brother allowed a terrorist and criminal to steal the wealth of his country and murder innocent people. A king's duty is to his people, N'jobu is as responsible to killing those people as T'chaka was to protecting them.
The scene actually hits harder when you hear what the guys were actually planning before T'Chaka arrived. According to the director, Ryan Coogler,, N'Jobu's wife was arrested and sentenced to prison for life. N'Jobu and "James" (Zuri) were actually planning on breaking his wife out. This also plays heavily into why N'Jobu was radicalized from the hardships the black people faced. That's why we never see Killmonger's mother.
I've theorized for a while that BP2 will center around the kings and queens of Wakanda's past, and it's a story that is told to Shuri as she ascends to the throne after T'Challa's death. I cannot see what kind of a story could continue without T'Challa in the present day, but if they go backwards, that could be fascinating and also honor Chadwick and begin Shuri's story as the Black Panther.
I think the fact that N’Jobu dies to stab wounds could be symbolic of the violence and knife crime that takes place in those areas Really backs up his point
Okay, but honesty I think protecting Zuri was just an excuse because you see he easily keeps him from shooting Zuri, he did not have to stab him after. He was angry at his brother for the betrayal, maybe didn't want to deal with the fallout or the council possibly sympathizing with his brother, or being challenged for the throne by him, ect. There's nothing in this scene that indicates to me that stabbing his brother was the only way to save Zuri. He chose to kill his brother and abandon his nephew.
and that little to no care for his own brother's life, and choosing a random spy over his brother, adds to his brothers point that Tchaka and wakanda dont care about other black people throughout the world and what they go thru. If u care so little about your brother that you would kill him, i believe him when he says you dont care about black ppl
It's insane how much he looks and sounds just like his dad. Mind blowing, and the craziest part is how similar he looked to Chadwick, with the same head and facial hairstyles. He could always play Prince T'Challa, with his regular hair color.
I love how the 2 female warriors enter N'Jobus appartement and ask HIM what his name is. I mean, wouldn't it be the other way around? Like imagine they knocked on the wrong door...😂
And yet he is just as responsible for their deaths. He gave Klaue the instructions and knew where to strike, he left his people on the butcher's table for them to be slaughtered.
Yeah there was no guarantee that T’Chaka was planning on pulling Zuri out. He was supposed to be some sort of criminal. Bowing randomly to some random wouldn’t fit into the ‘tough guy’ persona he was playing.
So klaue had the vibranium since 1992? Why was he sitting on it till age of ultron? A quarter tonne isn’t that much even if it’s a third the weight of steel, he could’ve sold it easily by then.
he's Not a *SCIENTIST* so Klaue doesn't know how to forge it properly and it's very expensive no buyer can afford it also he knew the true Wakanda are capable of so he decided to hide it
I took this to be a representation of greek mythology, when Prometheus stole fire from the gods to give to mankind and had to pay the price for it, but however, Prometheus' motives were for the greater good of mankind. As N'jobu's are for the greater good of his people
Know that I’ve seen this scene again;you could say T’chaka killed his brother to protect zuri who N’Jobu had drawn his weapon on.T’chaka already said N’Jobu would return to Wakanda and face trial for his crimes.
The stunned look on N’Jobu’s face may have been 100% acting, but I think he genuinely didn’t know that Klaue’s theft of vibranium would take innocent Wakandan lives, and he felt guilty.
Not necessarily, they could have come up with a villain like they do for other characters. Why must it only be racism that black people have to fight in movies
Murdered his own brother, then left his brothers body for his son to find....& left that son in the hood in Oakland, with nothing but sorrow & hatred....T’Challa said it best, “what kind of a king...what kind of a man...’
All this and it took Killmonger’s truth to show T’Challa that by being an Avenger, he can protect both Earth and Wakanda. There truly weren’t any villains in this movie. Just wrongs that must be written, but taken in the wrong direction by Erik’s hate. We cannot ignore one another. We have to be strong… together.
Love this scene it literally is a reflection of the ideologies of MLK and Malcom X. N’Jobu was so wrong for pulling a gun on T’Chaka too but T’Chaka didn’t have to kill him
The reason Tchaka was ruthless is because he's seen the villains who would destroy Wakanda. Tchaka was a king and diplomat and he's seen The Red Skull, Modok and many others and he knew that if they found out about vibranium then it would be game over.
