Most classical player of all time, Zidane went far beyond his extraordinary elegance: a definitive pillar of my all-time dream team, he was definitely the greatest maestro in football history! The man with total and absolute control of the game. Magician, genius!
@@derekzicari2181 Just reminding you that no Italian player in history ever lace up Zidane's boots. Even Baggio, Totti, Pirlo, Rivera, José Altafini (fake Italian) and co.
there is only one thing not to like about this dude, at least me; he makes look so easy! god dam!! zo good at dribbling without touching the ball sometimes more than one oponent at the time. ridiculous
These are some rare clips. Zidane was special. He's one of the few game organizers who maintains possession but drives the team forward. He wasn't a shoot first midfielder and wouldn't always look for the first pass to the forward. He was great at pulling out defenders from their position and unlocking defenses. Because he was two footed and strong, could dribble and had great balance, he was able to play passes in such awkward positions. He was always an option from for his defenders and for his forwards. Once the ball came to him, he could control it. Zidane was excellent. He was strong and big enough to play in this era. His touch is amongst the top ten players ever. People watch stats, people watch clips, people need to watch games. He organization and game management was second to none. Even with double pivot defensive midfielders who were undoubtedly less creative and had the raw still that he possessed. All this and he didn't have explosive speed, which others like CR7 Ronaldo Messi and Ronaldinho had.
Because he lasted way too short on the highest level, because he spent 10 years of his career in then strongest clubs in the world and Del Piero was better than him in Juve and fat and injured Ronaldo was better than him in Real. Because of his beautiful playstyle and perfect technique, people got the idea that he dominated every game, which was far from the truth. He struggled in Juve when Del Piero was injured or out of shape, and the "GOAT" Zidane failed to lead an ultra strong team so they lost 2 CL finals to Mickey Mouse opponents (compared to them anyway) and lost 2 Scudetti as well lol. Beautiful to watch, but upon careful analysis not even the top 50 in terms of career. Michael Laudrup had way better club career than Zidane and had more impact on his teams as well, just to name one guy.
@@cimmerian5194u don’t know what you’re are saying. Just say you don’t like Zidane because you’re not the only one who watched him. Shame on you for this fake write up
@@albertyeboah2850 Learn English bro. I love Zidane as a player but his career is just too full of holes to be compared with players who were consistent for 10-20 years. His beautiful playstyle fools people into thinking he dominated every game, but that's very far from the truth.
@@cimmerian5194 what better thing has English done to your horrible life? Which player doesn’t have holes in their careers? Do u listen to your self …?
The master of changing directions, speed, and the ball is at his control always. Zidane was few steps ahead. His sharp brain with his sharp feet, were unstoppable.
and the infants are comparing de bruyne to him now, this guy would have won the balon dor in 2006 if france won the world cup whilst being a retired player with no club
If you watch all the clips in this video, none were for show, or to make the opponent look silly, it all served a purpose of either keeping hold of, or moving forward the ball. There is nothing flashy, only what needed to be done. It's incredible, and we will never see his like again
Zidane was my MVP. 😁 Most Valuable Player. His playstile was autstanding. And when Xabi Alonso told, "when normal player trying to play like Zidane, they may will broke their legs" 🎉😂 This is it!
Must of been hard for him going bald at age 25 he already had that bald gap behind his head but he embraced it and became a world wide image of the best player in the world
look at the defenders how they are "aggressive" and very close to Zidane or in other words, fight for the ball! Now in modern times they are waiting for him to make a move and stands slightly away from the attacker
When you ask Ryan Giggs about playing as a defender against Zidane, he would say I'd rather do it with my bro wifey infront of him . Once you taught you get near to the ball you are already very far from the ball. It's a very difficult to defend against Zidane.
This is why the best players back then scored less goals then CR7 or Messi... Playing against the type of defendig back then was very harder. Zidane played for Juve. Defenders of other teams were Maldini, Nesta, Stam, Cordoba, Blanc, Simic, Cannavaro... I liked the football of the early 2000s.
Just thinking about how the world was robbed from watching possibly the best European players of all time all playing in the same French team in 1998. Can you imagine if Jean Pierre Papin, Ginola, Eric Cantona, Zinedine Zidane, Thierry Henry, Patrick Viera, Robert Pires, Emmanuel Petit, Lilian Thuram, Le Blanc were all playing in that 1998 WC winning team? I don't think people back in the 1990s appreciate the fact that France produced probably some of the best European players of all times. Just imagine Eric Cantona, Jean Pierre Papin, Ginola, Henry and Zidane on the same time. OMG.
@@bisrimustofa4067 that is very true. He never really fit very well in Italian football. I wish so much Mbappe would go to England to a club like Man U or Arsenal. I really think he would flourish there way more than France or Spain. Then we could have an Haaland Mbappe rivalry which would be wonderful for football around the world.
En ese tiempo, el Madrid tenia la bonita costumbre de comorar al jugador que la temporada pasada los hubiera hecho mierda, y Zidane no fue la excepción
