Your Browser Managed By Your Organization Browser Hijacker Fix
"Managed by your organization" is a browser feature for Google Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera and Brave. You can check these by typing: edge://management or chrome://management this allows administrators to manage browsers by setting various policies in the browser menu for users within their organization. But potentially unwanted application (PUA) such as a browser hijacker or malicious adware application can change these settings.

Typing chrome://management shows me the extension/administrator that is managing my browser, but you said to delete it. The problem is, is that it has it locked, it wont let me delete it

REAL FIX for hijacked browser!!! Make sure you are syncing Chrome, now close Chrome. Go to File Explore and check show hidden files. Now go to "users, user name, AppData, Local, Google. right click on Chrome and rename to "Google.old". Now open Chrome, sign back in to Sync. FIXED. You are welcome!

Thank you man, I've been dealing with malvertising for the last couple of days, I've done every tutorial and downloaded many so many things just to get rid of it, but with the simple command prompt, I was able to stop it. I'm pretty sure the malware is still somewhere in my computer though

Usually your videos are very helpful and clear. And this one was until you got to Edge. I was unable to figure out how to remove the policies even if I went even for the CMD part. I put the commands and Edge is still under policy control. The first steps of the Edge part of your video are not really that clear, sadly. The other browsers, no problem... Thanks.

other RU-vid videos were suggesting regedit policy cleanup and that did not do the job. It keeps coming back after I restart my machine. Your solution on farbar tool was the only one that got rid of the issue. Thank you very much!

Somehow Firefox doesn't like the commands "firefox://management" or "firefox://policy" always opens google search results for management and policy.

Although I already resolved the issue by reinstalling windows afresh, it's very sinister and cunning how adware and hijacking is hidden. Anyways, I was up for a cleaning and my windows shortcuts were also acting up. Thanks for vid it can be used for future problems with hijackings.

Not sure if this is applicable to my situation, but i have a few settings on my pc that are "managed by my organisation" specifically desktops and wallpapers settings are locked (i use wallpaper engine to get around this). Im pretty certain its caused by me using a win10 education edition i got from my college for free. it doesn't bother me too much but would be nice to fix. would this videos fixes have any impact on that or is it just the os version i have?

I went into regedit and I didn't understand what I was looking at. I tried to access firefox policies using the suggested command but it doesn't work. I tried GP edit and I don't have permission to change it. I haven't tried command prompt yet.

2:10 I can see the policy listed, but there is no option to remove it. What do I do here? ETA: Nevermind, I actually found a fix from someone who made a video one quarter the length who knew what they were talking about and didn't waste my time. BTW, your idea at 2:10 of just going in and deleting it doesn't work at all, you're just making stuff up there.

I disabled the "Chrome Software Reporter Tool" through the registry and my browser now says "Managed by your organization". The "Reporter Tool" didn't sit well with me as it snoops through software on the computer looking for incompatibilities. So I'm fine with Chrome showing the message.

@@simplygamingwithabby Yes! The next day after this I started my computer and I couldn't even open Chrome, so I did a safe restart of windows where it saves your files but deletes windows and reinstalls it. When it was done I reinstalled Chrome and it didn't pop up anymore. Hope it helps!

Only if you set the policy, if it is malware, then that wont work. Give plenty of options, choose one that works for you.

had something managing my Chrome, and made an un-deletable extension with jibberish names, that only started a day ago. it gave me weird Norton pop-ups. This worked great to delete it's policy preventing me from deleting the extension.

@@Britec09 after my PC restart, its still removed my extensions. Even "Your Browser Managed By Your Organization Browser" is fixed. Edit: I think it's only affected the Default Profile, other profiles are safe. But still can't find the way to remove it.

Thanks a lot. I was getting the message when I updated Windows. I edited the Group Policy where the Automatic Update Frequency Detection was enabled. I changed it to 'Not Configured'. Then the annoying message vanished.
