I hate the circular pedestal on which the bride is standing in her dress. Most dresses are longer than they need to be, which means they will be shortened so that the bride doesn't step on them. But it is not shortened yet on the base, so it optically lengthens the lower part of the dress (and the body) and makes the legs seem longer. The result after adjusting the length of the dress can look quite different and it can be disappointing for the bride. When trying on the dress (when choosing it), they should adjust the skirt to the actual final length with the help of pins in the front, however inconvenient it may be for the seller.
