#3 was such a hard one for me to accept!! But as a drew closer to the Lord, I lost the desire to reopen that closed door. When I finally had my gaze fully on God, He blessed me with more than I could ever ask for! I have been following this channel over a year now and it has been a huge part of building my faith and letting go of dead end relationships. This is exactly what Im going through right now! 1:09 Waiting for someone that I wish could be my husband, but God knows what is best for me. We corresponded for months, and he expressed interest, but then he decided to just stay friends. I was hurt and confused, and hoped he would come back around, but i think i need to accept the fact that he's not the one for me.

#4 hits home for me big time. After getting out of a scary, abusive relationship, I told myself I wouldn't date again, just have friends. I met my now bf and realized one day he had become my best friend, though I had no romantic interest in him. Then I had a vision of us getting married in church one day and suddenly was hit with romantic feelings towards him. The next day he asks me out and tells me he was given the go ahead in prayer right after I had the vision. That day I truly believed God's timing is always right.

Your videos are so relatable... I was interested in a guy from my church. He was patient, kind, someone I really admired. I've known him for more than a year. But something seemed wrong, and God told me to be blameless, and I didn't understand what was happening. And then it turns out that he has a secret commitment with a teenager.....I was so surprised and so, so sad. He's already commited to date her in the future??? I never thought of something like this. Once he held my hand while I was sitting next to her, I felt so sad the day after that and didn't know why..... God is so good for telling me to be blameless and wait. I had no idea what was happening, but God knew and didn't want me getting hurt.

Please keep an eye out on this situation. It's not even if it's just a significant age gap (10+ years), but if there's strong sexual vibes from one or both, a strong power dynamic at play (for example, he's a youth leader over her), there’s clear and present signs of abuse, and/or she's currently under the legal age of consent in your area (most places are 16, others are 18), then PLEASE make sure that you put a stop to the relationship and call the older man out! I get it. True love doesn't know age. When you truly love someone, as in you want what's best for them and are even willing to lay down your life for them, then that's a good thing regardless of age. But when it comes to romantic and even sexual relationships, that should only ever be the case when BOTH partners are of the legal age of consent! And people that prioritize the romance and sex over the true love DO NOT truly love their partners and are likely to take advantage of their partner whether they intend to or not. I say this as a 27 year old male youth leader for 10-13 year old kids who has had high school girls develop strong crushes on me during my ministry at church, and had a mother who was a victim of sexual abuse when she was 16 and got involved with an older man at her church. There's so much that can go wrong in the situation you described even if they both truly love one another and both have the best intentions in mind. And girls that age deserve to be treated well and protected regardless of their emotions or romantic inclinations, and deserve NOT to be exposed to potential romantic or sexual relationships that are straight-up illegal! So if you see ANYTHING illegal happening, or find evidence that there is abuse or bad stuff going on in the relationship, then PLEASE call them both out!

@@The4Tifier thank you so much for saying that. I'm still so shocked. The church took him out of all his functions. There's no kissing or anything like that, but there are messages between them, and it is really wrong. It's not love, it's not romantic.... It's normal for a teenager to admire a leader, but he should've stop that immediately. People tried to warn him about it for months, and he still wasn't able to see how bad it is even answering her messages. If there was anything physical, it would be criminal. I'm so sorry for your mom....

@@analuizadossantos9041 If they had private communications, then it was good for that to be shut down as soon as possible; especially since she was still underage. And yes, unfortunately for my mom she came from a bad family background and was of legal age when it happened (it was 14 at the time). So it really all messed her up. That’s why as a youth leader I take these kinds of things seriously. I don’t want any young girl’s story to be the same as my mother, or any of the stories of so many young girls who did get abused by an older man.

@@analuizadossantos9041 Unfortunately, she never did. The bitterness and anger from her childhood stayed with her into adulthood, and she never got help for it. It inevitably resulted in her physical and mental health rapidly declining, until her immune system essentially shut down in her 50’s and she died of leukemia. That never would have been her life had the men in her life been better than they were. If they actually cared about her, and didn’t take advantage of her, that wouldn’t have been her life. And in a way, I’m a victim of them as well. Because their abuse to her turned into abuse from her towards me. That’s why, as a youth leader who has influence over younger kids and teens, I ensure that I am a positive influence on those kids, and I never turn out like the men who failed my mother.

Didn’t know that men ever changed their mind. 😂 thought it was a done deal if he doesn’t like a woman from the start. I don’t think it’s healthy or wise for the woman to be in a state of pining after a man that doesn’t like her. She needs to move on and if that guy is detained to be her husband he will turn back around. But a woman shouldn’t hold out hope for that and just live her life. That’s probably why those men changed their mind. The woman stopped paying them mind and the man picked up on that she was focusing on her and not him, so he came back around

God doesn't force us to do anything but if the uninterested man is the ordained husband meant to be with the woman that has feelings for him then God will give him a desire for her.

I know this so well.... we "dated" the potential...... Ironically I know for myself I dated the person he COULD have been. Spiritual blindness is real and once my spiritual sight was restored, the truth was for lack of another term was nauseating. I learned much and thank God for the protection and trusting for the provision of a God fearing man. Becoming more Christ like during the waiting period and rebuilding my relationship with God.

Sometimes, things don't work out with that person you are interested in, or circumstances separate you from them, or you face rejection simply because God has another plan for you, or that person is not the right fit for you and your calling. There’s a pastor that married virgin and his wife had a sexual past. He had dealt with the same thing as you, until he was finally honest and he confessed that, in all this time that he was a virgin, he was actually watching porn and self pleasuring himself. It has helped him get over himself and understand that God didn’t say anywhere in the Bible only perfect people can get married, as there is no one perfect out there. If God has forgiven her, then who is he to judge her, when himself was living in a horrible sin. He had to work a lot on himself and kill his ego and the feeling of superiority towards his wife, but now they are both fine and closer to each other than ever. They just had a baby as well. Do not dig into things you cannot handle. Why must anyone dig into someone's sexual past? How can that help? The older you are, the more past you have. What is important is whether the person at present is changed, renewed in Christ. If the person cannot accept you, that's not the person for you. Likewise, if you cannot accept someone, you are not the person for him / her. Satan is a liar

It doesn’t seem to make sense to equate whether someone is really “submitted” to God just because we may or may not be attracted to “whom God wills for us.” So many Christians are not even sensitive to God’s leading in mundane things and you want to critique whether someone is following God in this very important area?? A lot of people hear, imagine or misinterpret what the Holy Spirit is saying so it is very illogical to equate these things.

I just got the clearest “No” I could have gotten about a man I had tried to be with for a second time. It is heartbreaking because we both apparently wanted to be together and I might even love him. It is me who knows this, God has given me enough signs and explicit answers about how I should be with someone that will share with me spiritually, so I am currently carrying the burden of figuring out how to close this door. I rejoice knowing God has someone more aligned to my ministry and life, but I am really sad and a little anxious about the decisions I must make in the near future. Prayers appreciated!

Mark, thanks for this video. I know I'm digressing, but I hope it's not inappropriate to ask for some straight speak about an elephant that has occupied the room for a while. I keep hearing creepy guys saying things like, "women past a certain age have to settle, you're too old to realistically get the guy of your dreams," or, "at your age, you won't get the luxury model, settle for a used (divorced) model." These creepy comments come from guys with issues who are projecting them onto women, and they're not coming from a Biblical vantage point. However, I'd really love some Biblically valid wisdom. Is there an age where the paradigm shifts from "finding THE ONE" God has for you to "finding someone, just to be marrying somebody, because that's as good as it gets?" I get sad that I didn't get married, and I don't know is God even made someone for me. I'm not looking to meet someone. I do have other dreams, and it makes me sad to think life has passed me by. Thank you if you can give me wisdom.

True! I asked God why I dont have romantic feelings when I did for the ones who were terrible for me. He reminded me that I asked Him to not let my feelings form too soon and overtake me. That's what usually gets me in trouble. This is so much better! Im mire sober in my thinking as nd able to make realistic controlled decisions. Im able yo take my time to seek the Lord. In my last situation I feel like I was literally drowning in emotions. It was scary and I almost didn't know who I was.

What if you don’t recognize the signs until it’s too late? What if there are two guys? One you like better than the other one. How can you tell which one is the right one without hurting either one of them? One of them knows you like them because you talk a little bit and said things to each other. So what is romantic interest then if not emotional connection? I only ever develop what I think is romantic interest after developing an emotional connection through normal non-dating interactions. Emotional connection is the first form of attraction for me not the physical. If there is no emotional connection, the person is totally indifferent to me. I don't have a lot of lists except compatibility so I always thought that the person I would be with would have to be my age. I also thought that the person would not have been previously married. What is you opinion, would God ever send us someone who is divorced?

Right after getting out of church, some guy who I don’t even know via by name asked me to be his girlfriend, and I told him, does he have a relationship with Jesus? He laughed and went on about my business. On the side note, I put my list on the medium, and also, I fear for the guy safety because of my older brother.

Hi great video *! Im in a long very relationship ,and we never get to marriage all fall out . we are together, but there is no true blessings in life, no kids, no financy, friendship etc... we are just ''surviving'', I was very young wen we started and then he even didint want a relationship. He was good person , but immature, unstable he's avoidant type. Im empath secure. When I started to follow Jesus, he changed. And after two years we are celibate, cause God called for pureness, and now new guy approaching, who is godly man character, even husband material ,we meet and when started Bible study we were so connect emotionally that is scary, I never supposed to happen with someone except my boyfriend, Im so overwhelmed and doubtfull,

Ok, so I need some clarity here. I always had this idea stuck in my mind that I am going to marry a tall guy and that I am in no way compromising this. I even had dreams about this. I kept looking aroumd under this lense BUT there is this guy who I am really attracted to and we bonded over time but he is even shorter than I am, so I'm confused as to why God would allow this.

According to 1 Corinthians 7, the answer is no as only death dissolves the marriage bond, not divorce. Divorcées are legally divorced, but still married in the Lord’s eyes. As a single woman, I discovered this the hard way after being involved with a divorced man for awhile until the Holy Spirit convicted me with Scripture and I broke it off 2 years ago.

As a woman, I'm not so bothered about the money side but would be more concerned about a workaholic or a man with a love of money. Yes, character takes time tis true, but I'm now 50, how much time does a guy need to build enough character... I admire you both for looking at yourselves to see how to prepare. I'm back to preparing in a different way, continuing to develop character. The waiting room is certainly lonely at times

Mark, I would really like your take on this topic if possible. So, the man I'm off and on seeing is a Virgo zodiac sign.(hear me out I DO NOT follow horoscopes or anything like that) I started noticing that this man's pursuit was different very subtle and slower than what I've experienced before. So, I found another RU-vid creator online (J Whitfield) who talks about how Virgo men are very different from other men when it comes to those things. Do you think its possible for things to look differently from a "traditional" man's pursuit? Are there some actions that women should look for that are universal from men? Thank you.

Sis, please know if you don’t follow horoscopes, it is best not to identify characteristics based on a zodiac sign as God advises us NOT to! What I did was sit down and right down All of the characteristics/traits of a Godly Man from the best source- The Bible. If he is a true man of God, he doesn’t identify with any demons, he identifies with Christ. Our identity is in Christ, nothing else. Zodiac signs are demons. Leave that behind before you even think to get married, it’s a huge sin. You are looking for answers in the wrong places and hoping you are gonna find what you want to hear.
