Yes, there were people who did that, but there were also people who lost tons of weight and are doing well now. Just look up Casey King and his story, he now has a YT channel.

Thederick is still alive, he was able to lose weight, get his lymphedema surgery, and his weight loss surgery. He's still around 400 lbs, but healthier and posts on his Instagram account regularly.

It's good that he was able to lose so much weight though, he has proved to himself that he can do it even without surgery. Also, he is going to be in trouble if he doesn't lose weight, because of his weak heart, so he has even more reason to stick with it now.

Look. It took him YEARS & years to get this big. And even if he GETS the surgery its years of recovery & special diets afterwards. The surgery ISN'T the fix. He better get used to this setback like an ADULT.

Man this is sad. Is there anything he can do better to strengthen his heart in a way that he can have this surgery? I know the heart works extremely hard and so it is hard on the heart when you are just a little overweight or obese. I can't imagine how hard it is on the heart when you are morbidly obese. Bless his heart. I hope he succeeds and doesn't let bad news get him down and make him give up his life completely

His mother is just like me! When she got excited after his surgery was approved, it made me grin. I do the same thing. It's good to show people how happy and proud you are of them. It makes them smile and be happy. So if you are happy, let it out! Dance about, jump up and down, sing, and whatever else you need to do to express yourself.

That's literally how obesity kills people in their sleep, their heart enlarges because of all the mass. The heart can only get so big before it gives out. He should keep losing weight, hopefully that can reverse some of the heart changes

I had to pick up my roommate bc someone on the bus dropped from a heart attack. She said the bus was pulled over surrounded by first responders. That heart failure is no joke. She said he did not get up even after the bus driver kicked him very hard in the nuts. 😣 I don't agree with her method but he did not get up even after that. 💔😣

It is usually the MOTHER who gets the child into such condition in the first place. One 900-pound patient's mother said, "If he's hungry, he has to have something to eat." A bizarre, sick and sickening interdependence. This patient's mom is herself very overweight. And 700+ down to 600+ still leaves the guy in a condition from which he can drop dead at any minute. I knew of a math professor, not overweight, dropping from his heart attack in his early 40s. Any healthy'ish, 200 pound people out there? If you took a 400 pound bar off the rack, could you take 20 steps with it? One step? Sorry (not) to any readers, but unless you are a strongMAN packing a lot of muscle, you are playing with fire if you go over 300, and probably long before.

See thats what moms are the best at. They will support you all the way when doing the right thing. Most time mothers want it more then there children do. Sometimes it just takes excitement and motivation. Show Thederick what life can be like for him when he is around 220-280lb. You have to truly believe in yourself. Im saddened about Thederick heart issues but i have a feeling this might motivate him more. Respect Thederick 👊 💪

Nah. If he's strong enough to do that, he's strong enough to lose the rest. He needs therapy to combat food addiction. With that, he could do whatever he sets his mind to.

You go my friend. I agree,this is a slap in the face with all your hard work,and I csn appreciate your horror with your heart problem. I have it too. I seriously crippled with Arthritis of the knee,and desperately need a knee replacement, but the surgeon/ anaesthetist won't consider it due to my bad heart problems so I've got to live with permanent pain 24/7. So believe me I sympathise with you 100%, but if you carry on with your excellent work on losing just those last 50lbs, your heart almost certainly witb a reduced load off it due to your weight loss, will take the strain of the anaesthetic and you can have your surgery,and start racing towards the finishing line. You've already Proved that you CAN lose weight very well, with your lovely mum to support you. Come on Thed. Just the final push, and you'll be home and dry. As it is you're 100% right to be VERY proud of yourself for how far you've already come, just think how you'll feel when the job's done,and you've won the battle.
