What a great story! This guy is a hero, accepting the challenge and working hard to meet his goals. No whining, no complaining and no sneaky snacking. Dr Now must be very proud of this strong and determined young man.
@FZRwolfgaming but he was man enough to own it and do something to do better! I say this as someone myself who has underwent bariatric surgery and lost 160+ pounds and have maintained my optimal weight for 5 years now. It's not easy. It takes a lot of mental and physical discipline. So this dude does deserve all the props for getting his life going in a good direction. Lord forbid you ever make a bad decision and someone only points that out about you and not how you turn it around and fix it. Think before you speak. This guy has what it takes to be successful long-term and deserves to be told so! 💪🏾
White Okay ru-vid.comUgkx6K7NWahp9y3ir1gVAwysOCHOOPSnWZbw . I got it from my browser's history. I know that it's really frustrating to be over-weighted but all is possible with a strong determination. Good luck…..
Respect to his wife. "I took the vows i gotta take care of him" love that. Loyalty is everything. Very glad to see people stand by the ones they love even when that person goes down hill
He did such an amazing job! I love it when people on this show are super motivated to get better and to get healthy. He should be very proud of his progress
Yes. They are lovely, but he has to stop blaming his ex for his weight gain. How does his new, lovely lady feel hearing that nonsense? That was in his past. Here is now. Tomorrow is THEIR future but he carries his ex around all the time, blaming her for his bad choices. He needs to live in the present. I can guarantee that if the rolls were reversed, he wouldn't listen to any nonsense about her ex causing her to be so overweight. If anything, it is an insult to your current partner.
We all need help reaching our back... just saying but these are the people who inspire me to keep going with my journey...I'm nowhere near where he is but sometimes I don't want to go to the gym, have a salad drink water so seeing him...I have no excuse!!!
@CHRISTOS ZENEBISIS Yoh..I'm being attacked by freak's of nature lol, long limbed kind...you and I can wash our back from the top and then the bottom...you can't really hit all the spots in middle tho, that's why sometimes those lucky enough to have partners to call on those to really help them clean their back. If you have freakishly long limbs then go on about your business and leave those of us who love a clean back and achieve that with the help if others. I'm admitting nothing and I don't even know why I'm paying you attention because you clearly are bored 😴.
@@omadjourney I can't always comfortably reach my back, it requires a lot of contortion and work, so I got an African net rag that's like 4ft long and use that instead. It's way easier and helps you exfoliate really well.
They’re a beautiful couple, I hope he gets it together so they can live a healthier and happier life. They clearly love each other, I wish them the best.
Im so happy and proud of him!!! He did not whine and make excuses like others, no he came and continues to conquer. I would love to see how much more progress he made
When I heard his wife said he tells her "sorry" as he asks her to do something for him, I was actually surprised. Because most of the patients just shouts, demands, or orders someone to do something. A really nice man.
I hope he continues to be successful in his weight loss journey! It’s so nice to see someone that actually WANTS to be better and make the life change 😊
i am so happy for him and hope he keeps up the great work. he and his wife seem like very kind and loyal people. this man deserves to fix his life and he is doing just that. he is so lucky to have an amazing wife to support him and his dedication to changing for both himself and her is beautiful to see.
I rarely watch these shows, but this guy has me in tears!! I am so happy and inspired by him ❤. Definitely want to see updates on him... He's so down-to-earth, I just love his personality.
So glad Travis is taking this seriously and doing the work that needs to get him to his weight goal. Congratulations 🎉 on a job well done and keep up the good work and you will see the end results you want. Glad your thinking positively and there is light at the end of the tunnel. God bless you Travis. Your future looks bright.
Love how he made his goal that dr now set for him to lose within the first months to get his bypass you don’t see that a lot with patients he was really determined love to see it ♥️
You go mate! At last, someone who is helping themselves to regain your life and body back and to free family members from the burden of looking after you. You are now back in control of yourself. Well done, well done. From Australia ❤
He's not going to give up. He's going to burn a lot of fat and he'll won't have any issues. I hope that he's doing well doing this. He's a good man and I know that he's going to make it.
Wish had a GP like this *LEGEND* let alone a Surgeon etc. He tells it as it is + Patient's future if don't change ways with a great tolerance. Hearing excuses, but still giving more chances/extra support. He's a top Therapist in own way too imo. (eg: Gives it for free @ 'Weigh in' TimeS tbf) NOW knows the score..
I feel so bad for all these people. Keeping weight down is super hard for some people. I have always struggled with weight, not at that level but a little overweight I have always hated my body for it.
you should be proud of yourself. You have accomplished what so many people could not. Good work and stay dedicated to your mission. There is no question that you can get this done. I believe you are on your way to being a healthy 260 lb man. And enjoy your life.
We also had a guy here on Guam that is obese just like this guy. Dude's name was Ricky Naputi. But he was so stubborn he wanted to keep gaining weight, and not exercising. So later Ricky died.
@aq Br, I’m a huge Disney fan & Pixar fan so that’s why I thought that. I’m bubbly like Olaf from Frozen (2013). I like men who give off the Jack Dawson from Titanic (1997), Andy Biersack, James Stewart in It’s a Wonderful Life (1946), Gerard Butler in my favorite movie & musical of all time The Phantom of the Opera (2004), & Robert Taylor when he starred in Camille (1936).
This was a refreshing episode!! It's great to FINALLY hear someone not whine and make excuse as to why they can't properly do the diet or aren't losing weight. He owned his overeating and pushed the whole way. Bravo and good luck to him
Justin is a good example of someone with an awesome mindset through it all. Tammy, and Maja are a couple examples of people that just blame everyone else around them, and take no responsibility based on the clips I have watched. It really is disgusting how far they go to blame and be nasty to their loved ones around them.
@@ramtransportllc6818 Just one state is now until vaccinations reach 80% which will be in a few days. Temporary inconvenience for the majority benefit. 🇦🇺
what do you mean by he refuses not to stay clean?its not like hes doing drugs or any other addiction.im sorry im not a native speaker so i have to ask.
Hygiene is typically one of the first things to suffer when someone is depressed, it's not like people stay unclean for the fun of it. It's a high energy task even for regular sized depressed people. You'll see episodes where Doctor Now puts people straight in therapy because with significant body odour it's clear they've given up on life.
At the same time when it was time to double down and make sure hes eating right she's not trying discourage him or give him a hard time about the new diet... this woman is ace!
@Legendary ϟuper ϟaiyan imagine being homophobic, fatphobic and who knows you might be racist also imagine thinking a whole country is fat or overweight get some pesos and come to america to see your self 😂
I can’t imagine how these people must feel. I’m having gastric bypass on the 28th of this month. I’m 260 pounds and have never been this big in my life. I have no energy, my joints hurt, I’m uncomfortable and I can’t imagine being 600 lbs. It must be excruciating.
@@SLUBUG Im only 5’3” and my BMI is 45. I’ve struggled my whole life since childhood with obesity. I’ve lost and regained the same 50-100 pounds on repeat since I can recall. Then I had 3 kids in less then 5 years and it’s been so difficult to lose the weight ever since. When I had my bloodwork done last year and was told that I had pre diabetes I made the choice to do the bariatric program and have surgery. All I want is to live my best life and be around as long as possible for my children. ❤️
He’s so respectful, and he really seems confident. I really hope he can turn his life around! What helps build onto that is his supporting wife. I really think he has a good shot
Tell me, all you people who responded with mean and snarky remarks: does it make you feel good to be full of hate toward human beings whom you consider disgusting? Travis is not the disgusting one in this scenario.
The shower scenes are ridiculous and degrading. We’ve seen enough of them to see what a morbidly obese body looks like. You don’t have to embarrass the people every new season
@@sarahsimpkins1311 Saying that obesity is unacceptable, isn't making fun of it. It should be unacceptable! The human body isn't designed, to handle the load!
“I don’t want to get to the point to where I don’t bathe because that’s just me saying I give up.” 🥺 and then the wife saying “I said a vow and I have to take care of him.” 🥺 crying and it’s not even 6 minutes in
Respect to his wife. "I took the vows i gotta take care of him" love that. Loyalty is everything. Very glad to see people stand by the ones they love even when that person goes down hill
I hope this guy succeeds in all aspects, he's honest with himself and actually wants to put in the work. So refreshing to see when most really don't make the effort
I hope he is successful and gets healthy happy and god bless his wife. My husband and I have been together since we were 15. 20 years yesterday. The past 10 years he’s gained a lot of weight (over 100 pounds) and he was already a big guy. I worry a lot about his health and the strain it’s putting on his heart. I know how this mans wife feels.. She worries and cares about her husband more than he does himself.. that’s love. Wishing them all the best.
Travis is definitely a role model for others who have the desire and determination to lose weight! There was not one COMPLAINT or excuse from his voice whatsoever towards the goal of losing weight for himself and NO ONE ELSE. Kudos to you, Travis! Good going.... keep up the great work and i wish you a long and HEALTHY life! You deserve all the happiness your way!
Some women would leave their husbands if he got a lower paying job. This woman deserves an award. The average man weighs 190 pounds and would never get a woman this loyal in his whole life. Also Dallas is in the house!
@@perry6712 You're 14 I think the average at 14 is 5'5 and 140 but yes you're tall and slim. The metabolism usually slows down at 20 so you'll probably be 6'2 and 180 somewhere in your mid 20s.
That’s the difference between him and the other patients…No whinin, no complaining, not having a pity party, actually trying to do shit for himself and actually puttin in work to keep himself alive…much respect to the brotha✊🏾
