If you mean museum items from like summerset, morrowind, Northern elsweyr, murkmire and western skyrim, there is a place in each of those zones where you are meant to place them. In return you get a collectable furnishing

**Update** They have already updated it to where you don’t get all the upgrade mats back! Just one resin! Also the transmute crystals are always 25 apparently. They said they misspoke, but this is PTS so it may change! But what are you most excited about with this system?

Please do a test: re-construct a lot of items, then decostruct them and verify if you're getting any TRAIT materials back. If you do it is huge ;) I am on console and I can't test. But i really need this info and can't get this anywhere. Seems like no one is testing this for some reason.

Oh man ive been playing since beta my guys I got all crown store chests but got those with writ vouchers you my big house to store all furniture aswell then a full bank and almost full bags ful of sets on over 15 chars one of them is a pure bank char and full account bank and made my own guild for an extra 500 slots and i constantly have eso plus :D :D safe to say its gonna be great when this patch goes live. But its gonna be a bitch unlocking all those items in my chars bags and my bank and chests for that shit to register :D

I just came back to the game after having been away for a couple of years. My bank is full of monster set helmets and shoulders, my crafter has all traits researched - does this mean I can unlock all that is in my bank, deconstruct them, and then just create it with the correct trait whenever I want it? Wow, what an amazing upgrade!

Hi, great content as always when I search in youtube about ESO and end up watching one of your videos. Questions - If doing for your other chars - Does the item go bound to the character that Reconstructed 'the item'? And are there a crafting level requirement? Lastly, maybe I missed something but the tempering alloy only retrieved 1 of the 8

Man, I just cleared out a bunch of old gear a month or so ago. Ah, well, it was mostly bind on equip stuff from what I remember; I kept one of each of the bind on pickup stuff.

While I will be happy for this system, because it will help me manage all my gear sets amazingly - there will be an impact I can not tell whether it is good or bad: for example you find an overland set flame staff, of which you know is very expensive with the right trait - now you can forget it to make money out of it while the other side is ofc that you will not have to spend a couple hundred thousand gold for said weapon with the right trait - you will only have to spend the lower amount of money for the same set weapon with a shity trait - because then you can reconstruct a better version of that for maybe only 25 transmute stones

So if you reconstruct the items gold, you spend 8 alloys, you don't use any grain solvents. But when you desconstruct it you get the transmute stones back but he only got 1 alloy back.

I don't think they will be able to deliver a transmuted gear for the sealed writs, so voucher writs pricing shouldn't really be affected much or any at all

You only get 100% of your transmutate crystals back if have the cheapest cost when you originally make it. So if it costs you 50 transmutate crystals to make you'll still only receive 25 back. Also on the temporing alloy portion I only saw 1 get refunded when the gear was broken down versus the cost of making it which was 8.

OMG I wish I had seen this video ages ago. I have farmed so many things that are useless to the toon I am playing, but might be good for one of my other toons. This has clogged my bank space with so much crap. I have been making notes on paper to try to determine what items to keep for which toon, and ended up frustrated. Yes... paper.... in the computer age.... old school. Finally a solution.

It is only added to your sticker book when you bound it to yourself, right? if it's in your inventory or bank but it's tradeable you gotta 'wear' it first? And maybe it's an obvious question but they said that all gear that is bound to a toon is going to be automatically added to the book, but that's only for the stuff you still have, right? i mean, if i did a dungeon a while ago and dropped an item but deconstructed or sold it, it's not going to be on my book, right?

So any gear that you bind to your collection, as long as it’s not dungeon gear or hasn’t been transmuted can be traded. But once you reconstruct an item from your book that can’t be traded. Also the gear in the past you deconstructed won’t count.

Yea, don't think they could add stuff you've deconstructed or sold even if they wanted to, as I'm sure the game doesn't keep that kind of data after the "buy back" tab clears.

Stuff that's bound, stuff you deconstruct, and stuff you sell that gets pushed out of the buy-back tab gets added. I don't think the latter two give a notification though (for the moment). All talking post-update status, of course. Stuff you got rid of already is long gone.

This means once you finish your leveling gear with the system you can level it up as your character moves up

Likely to be an expensive thing to do. I just use crafted sets on my alts, as they level up, because they cost next to nothing to make in green quality - if you deconstruct most of your drops you likely have green and blue upgrade materials coming out of your ears.

@@roqsteady5290 yeah but it's easy to get crafted sets down to 25 transmutes. I still have 12 slots not maxed. A 3 monthly campaign rewards for a set is pretty easy, and once you got it, you're good.

@@nevyns9285 Yes, I'm close to maxing out the traits on my crafting character too. I also had my alts learn traits, for no particular reason, but with this new system it should be quite convenient. I don't generally bother with training trait, because I think you level up fast enuf already and I like to experiment with traits that are actually of some use.

I'm wearing 2 full 5 piece sets, which leaves my weapon and shield without a set. Is there like a 2 piece set or something I can get for my weapon and shield? Also, what exactly is a monster set? Is that literally just a 1 piece set? If so, that doesn't make sense. But is it only for the helmet? Cause I like the way my guy looks with the armor set I have. I would prefer a weapon monster set if that's a thing.

So then my question becomes, if I run a dungeon or trial with a player under 160cp or a new non cp player and they get a drop I need, but in a lower level, can I still trade it from them, decon it and reconstruct it at my (max) level??

They are pretty cheap already, if you shop around. Likely Ill still buy sets at their current prices, if the transmutation stones are harder to get than the gold.

I suspect the costly items will go down (precise Inferno Staff of a Mother's Sorrow, for example), but lower cost low-use items will go up because of set completion bonuses (Maul of a Mother's Sorrow, head and shoulder pieces, etc.)

Quick question, say you got the inferno staff at lvl 34 on one character, if you then go on to your cp160+ character and reconstruct that item, will it only be the lvl 34 version or will it be a cp160 version?

Think of it like this. Your storing the "pattern" of an item. If your crafting is high enough, you can "reconstruct" it to any level you wish. (I think)

Requiring transmutation crystals was an unnecessary complication to the entire process. It should just be treated as a stored crafting recipe that you can craft with normal materials without those crystals.

I dont completely get it. Unless you can reclaim your upgraded to gold-Items at any time without any cost, what exactly is the difference between now and then? What incentive do I have to dispose of my items because of the Collection? So unless Vet Dungeons give like 100 crystals per run it will not be worth it for casual players.

Nah, my inventory and bank are full of crafting mats, since no eso plus 🙄 to expensive here, its like double WoW price. I wish we had something like 50% discount eso+ but you gain only crafting bag and nothing else

Slightly confused, so if I have PvP gear, trial gear, dungeon gear, XP gear, I have to keep creating/deconstructing all the gear, thus wasting time? For example, the dressroom addon is so nice, in that I can keep switching between gears anytime and quickly, now it looks like more work? So I can only keep 1 gear set at any one time?

bro when I got back into the game I spent about a week sorting all my dungeon, overland, and trial sets before I knew what the transmutation system could truly do. Better late than never. I wish they had this years ago when I played this game heavily. now I just got to figure out what items to keep just incase vs what I can deconstruct to craft at a later date.

Meh, I will still probably hold on to all of my gear, because if I deconstruct it I have to farm the crystals to get them back.

That's the flaw in this system, unless they make transmute crystals super easy to collect then you might as well just hang on to the gear. It still has some good uses so I'm not going to knock it.

It's great for perfectionist and people with ESO hoarding issues as it essentially allows you to get god rolls without the need to waste upto weeks of your life in one dungeon or the need to clutter your bank/inventory.

It is good for those sets that you don't really have a use for, but can't bring yourself to discard :). The kind of things that in RL people have cluttering up their attic and garage :).

The price to reconstruct goes down as you collect more. With a full set collected, Reconstruct and refund amounts are the same, 25 transmute crystals. The only cost for changing gear in that situation is the tempers. Also, they are indeed increasing drop amounts from crystal sources (but eliminating the random chance of getting a single crystal from killing the final boss of a dungeon).

Imperatively: you can craft from a "blue print" to the level you're crafting skills allow, hence a level 10 item would be as valuable than a level 160 item for that matter. And level 160 items with useless traits will lose value... In short, this will affect guild tradings, and the requirements in order to get one should lower down...

@@HawkFest I'd actually expect the 160 items with bad traits to *increase* in price, as they are now just as valuable as the ones with good traits. It's the good trait ones that will drop.

As far as I'm concerned I think this is a stupid update. I would prefer more bank space upgrades or room in houses for storage chests. End of the day you would still have to grind the Transmute stones out which is going to suck if they change a set down the road.
