I just finished watching the finale, and I have to restate what I said in an earlier comment. *_Your Lie in April_* is an absolutely beautiful series that is very much worth watching. The story, drama, characters, animation, music, and direction all blend together to create a wonderful symphony that has you stand in awe. I cannot recommend this series enough.

I watched this show when I was depressed. I was having fights with my mom. I watched this show and I swear it changed the way I look at life and love. I actually really like playing piano and this show got me back into it. Then, the girl I had a crush on played at the talent show and I asked her to duet with me. She said yes. Thank you to the creators of this show for bringing me out of my depression.

For me the saddest thing is that Arima couldn't tell how happy he was whenever he's with Kao knowing that he's only the friend A 'cause he thought Kao likes Watari but in reality all of it was a lie and Kao was the one who's filled with overflowing happiness when they're together T_T

I am utterly shocked with how good this series is right now. If you are looking for a wonderful slice-of-life, romance, drama series, you cannot get much better than this. Only 9 episodes in, and I can honestly say that it can easily be amongst the top 5 series of the year.

I've made it a tradition to watch this anime every year in April so I can relive the moment of love and loss.

I binged watch all the episodes in 1 day and by the final episode I already lost most of my tears that I had trouble crying. Oh my god this is powerful

One of the best anime's I have watched this year, this was very moving the characters are amazing the animation is nothing short of spectacular,but the story and the music is what did it for me, I still can't get over the ending this is going on my top anime list and its never being removed.

One of the most beautiful animes I have ever watched. I don't think I've had a deeper appreciation for music, for those around me, and for love until I watched this anime.

It was during the recital for the piano school I was going to back then. The boy who appeared so awkwardly drove the audience to laughter when he bumped his behind to the stool... Playing the note as colorful as a 24-color pallete, the melody began to dance. I was totally surprised when the kid next to me burst out crying. And yet, you're going to quit playing the piano. After influencing my life the way you did... How awful is that? "Awful, slowpoke, dummy!" When I found out that we were going to the same junior high, I was elated. How could I find a way to talk to you? Maybe I'll go buy sandwiches everyday? But in the end all I could do was watch you. After all, you guys were all too tight. There was no space for me to slip into. I had a surgery as a chile, and then got treated regularly as an outpatient. After I collapsed in seventh grade, I was in and out of the school repeatedly. I started spending time in than out. I was hardly ever in school by then. I knew that I wasn't very well. One night, when I saw my mother and father crying in the hospital waiting room. I realized that I didn't have much time. That was the moment. That I... Broke into a run. I started doing whatever I wanted. So I wouldn't bring my regrets with me to heaven. Please tell Watari-kun that I'm sorry. Well, but still. I guess it won't take long for Watari-kun to forget all about me. As a friend he's a fun guy, but I'd rather have someone more intense. Also... Please tell Tsubaki-chan that I'm sorry. I'm just someone who's passing through, who'll be gone. I didn't want to leave an awkward mess behind, so I couldn't ask Tsubaki-chan. Or rather, even if I asked her straight-up, "Please introduce me to Arima-kun," I don't think Tsubaki-chan would've been okay with that. After all Tsubaki-chan was so crazy about you. ah yes the anime that makes me go 'i saw a video in my recommend and my life changed'

I am overwhelmed by the huge character development in the anime. Needless to say, Kousie and Kaori are the best but the other characters like Takeshi, Nagi, Tsubaki, Watari and Emi...they a show a lot too. I just loved it. It pulled my hearts' strings in a way that I can't explain but I am totally touched. Unexpectedly, I didn't cry in the last episode as I should have (just teared up a bit) but I cried in the mid of the show a lot. But that doesn't mean the ending was not good. It was one of the best ones and I expected her to die...after watching Kimi no Suizo wo Tabetai but something touched me a lot. This anime is one unforgettable one.

I just finished this and I need to express my profound sadness. I miss a fictional character. I feel pathetic and have cried my eyes out. Even now, hours later I still feel a deep emptiness. Screw this show, it's amazing

This anime really is different from other anime (emotional and touching) movie and series! Your lie in April made me realize that we should live our life fullest and the way we want it to be because you never know when it is going to be the end. Just live, look forward to every opportunity u are given, set a goal to your life and try to achieve it. Live for your friends, family for the person that brings light to your darkness. You should totally watch this anime (especially music lovers like me :) )

I remember being in middle school when this had just come out and having absolutely no clue what it is was about except it being centered around music and first loves and springs I dove in happily. It was certainly a beautiful and bittersweet anime but I remember thinking to myself “no that’s how things are supposed to go” and being so upset watching an anime for the first time that didn’t end up how I had hoped it would. And then coincidentally all the animes that I decided to watch after this one had similar endings that made me want to scream in agitation because the mcs are supposed to have plot armor. To this day I absolutely cannot stand endings like this in any shows I watch or book I read because it legitimately does upset me for a few days straight. But I did appreciate this one because they allowed closure and somehow you felt at peace

Hands down, it's one of the most beautiful anime ever existed. 😊😊😢😢

I watched it all non-stop, after 5 episodes the tears never stopped till last episode, Piano and violin made it so hard not cry. my emotions were bursting out like fire-crackers, the combination of story with music is just beyond perfection,. it was like i was in the anime, living it with all the characters, but just a mere spectator. It is the most beautiful experience i have had in a very long time, this isn't just an anime, just watch it experience yourself and you'll know.

It's now ten Springs since Kousei met Kaori...

This anime has so many layers it almost feels abstract the same way as complex scores in it.... only it’s not abstract at all, it’s a crafted masterpiece, just like the scores.

Just re watched the anime and I'm crying yet again this show had a skill to just break me down to tears

This is the only anime I rated 10/10 on my anime list out of like 23. The emotional roller coaster I went through was amazing. The way that this anime can make you feel sadness is purely incredible. The way that the anime ended aswell was fantastic and yet sad at the same time. I am happy that I managed to watch this anime and manage to get those feelings that it gave me. This series worth my time. I learned a lot about classical music and the emotions you'll get while listening to it. This encourage me to be a pianist one day and to practice more. I didn't expect how emotional this series really is. I hope i could watch it again for the first time.

when i started anime i mostly watched the action packed stuff but somehow when i saw that anime i instantly knew i had to watch it. Maybe because i play an instrument myself, i really don't know, since i thought this genre isn't really my cup of tea.. .Boy was i wrong, this has to be the best thing i've seen so far and it really got to me. I watched a lot of sad/touching movies (not always out of my free will :P) some of them made me think for a while but i wasn't affected by them and never, not even once made a movie or anime me cry because I always have that thought in my mind, that it's not real and only fictional. Somehow this was different. It got me from the first epsiode and i couldn't stop watching it, it was just so good and call me an idiot but at the end i was crying like a little bitch (and i'm pretty sure that expression was invented for the state i was in). I can't really describe it so just watch it and if you love music (especially when you play an instrument) this anime is a thing you definetly shouldn't miss.
