@@zhausiya That's your opinion. You can say that we didn't understand "Your name" and it was maybe a little confusing but the simplicity through which a message is delivered to the audience is also one of the aspects of a movie that makes it stand out more than the others. What's the point if majority of the audience can't even get the message you are trying to convey. And after all "A silent voice" addressed a very real world situation which is bullying with which many people can relate but, "Your name" had a more fictional approach that's why it didn't get through many people's heart at once. You can see that by reading the comments what the majority understood and actually liked.
@@zhausiyaYour Name is a good anime indeed but not emotional like 'A Silent Voice ' . It has so much plot twist than Your Name. Mujhe excitement tha Your Name dekhne time,I Want to Eat Your Pancreas me emotional tha paar utna nehi because ladhki waise bhi mar jayega isiliye emotion halka ho gya tha(Although last plot twist no expected) . Par Silent Voice pe Balcony wala part and hospital wala part boht emotional tha .
your name will definitely make u feel like you've watched of the best anime movies out there but a silent voice will teach you something extremely important about life that will stay with u till the end
Your name is a movie which follows two characters in their struggle against an unimaginable supernatural phenomena with high world stakes. It definitely tugs at your heartstrings. The soundtrack is beautiful featuring four memorable vocal songs that stand out as they represent the feelings in each part of the movie they play in. The art style chosen is gorgeous, with wallpaper-quality aesthetic backgrounds that showcase the beauty of both the city and the countryside. Overall, its power comes from the longing between the two main characters to stay in each other's lives combined with the ever growing tension of "I don't want them to die". It's a magical science with beautiful art that takes you far away from wherever it is you currently live. A Silent Voice is a movie which puts into question your morals and capacity for empathy. It quickly puts you into the shoes of the protagonist as it's not unrealistic. It's a unique take on the bully character archetype. The soundtrack in this movie is mainly ambient piano or xylophone, usually relaxing and somewhat nostalgic. When the music does swell into something more passionate, it's a somewhat shocking contrast which immediately puts most viewers on edge. The little sounds of each press of the piano from being (supposedly) recorded within the instrument are a unique touch. It's art style is bubbly and jelly-like, but its main point is the perspective. It uses creative camera work which shows the viewer how Ishida sees things, such as how he avoids seeing faces, stares at the ground, and overall just prefers to see people from the corner of his eyes, putting distance between them. Overall, its power comes from an emotional study of a heavily flawed character who struggles with words and a character who physically cannot communicate in the same way as most people. It's a very real and down-to-earth experience and an eye-opener to many viewers who struggle with depression and suicidal thoughts themselves. It's an art piece that shows humanity. Each movie is beautiful in its own right, but you can't really compare the two because they're different categories of "sad". One is a tear-jerking character study with real-life connections, while the other is a moving romantic drama with moments that put you on the edge of your seat with catastrophic disaster moments away. That's my take, anyways.
Yeah, they’re not really about the same thing. One is a tragic sad redemtion with romantic hints and the other is way more romance focused and less sad but also impactful in its own way
I cried so much more watching your name too. I think most of the people who didn't cry probably watched it on dub. The I love you on Mitsuha's palm scene was not really translated properly on some dub videos of it that is why it didn't hit as hard to some who thought that Taki's name was written there.
When" a silent voice" makes a person confident, it melts my heart ... sometimes, the "sorry" refers to the power of standing up .... if you die, you are lost where you have nothing , but if you are alive, you have the unfailing hope and deathless dignity.... ❤ ....this is the masterpiece anime in a person's whole career... love how it defines a person's life ... never forget it and never will 😌
Yaar it is overrated it doesn'thave anything emotional how can you say it made you cry , In reality emotional movies are I want to eat your pancreas and your name
this is old comment but i just wanted to say that Your Name is kinda lacking in the ending you know it just feels like theres more to it and there surely can be
@@Krish.SookrajIts not, many don't know this anime and its concept. Most people think its love between boy and deaf girl but it's actually movie of protagonist finally accept world at the end
@@Kyojuiro i agree it's overated...i watched it and find it pretty repetitive and the characters are just not developed at all...if you want a sad anime, watch banana fish or steins gate
@@fabrice-oliviercarrier4932 What's repetitive and in real life no one changes drastically it just in anime or in movies only. They made it according to real life
A silent voice is about "Forgiving" or "self love" this movie helped me so much to love myself and accept my flaws. This movie is an art and a life lesson to everyone out there ❤.
Sorry but I disagree I don’t know why by your name has been my favorate since I was 7 ;-; I watched silent voice, yes the story itself is better but I just kind of perfer the classicness of your name
Why didn't I cry watching 'A SILENT VOICE ' but cried watching 'YOUR NAME ' EVERY TIME I WATCH IT 🥰❣️ WELL I LOVE BOTH OF THEM BUT ' YOUR NAME ' HITS ME DIFFERENT 😌
what is there to cry about? it had a wholesome ending and the characters are really likeable no one even died. your name was actually almost really sad the fact that the gurl she saw died years ago was way more touching.
@@UjjwalKunwar-xm5guuh i hate depression i fight to sadness altho im stone hearted and tough a silent voice made me cry but i was not sad much by tge way i think you are too sensitive
A Silent Voice deserves every bit of that win it’s a dang Beautiful and heartbreaking masterpiece i love it so much. It’s my all time favorite anime and has a special place in my heart forever.😌😭 I cried so hard watching it more then any other anime it hits you so hard. And makes you really appreciate life. it has literally changed my life forever.
@@athiqurvalmax I have watched Pancreas it rips your heart out but in my opinion A Silent Voice is my all time favorite anime it will forever have a special place in my heart nothing has come close to it. 🙌 it’s a dang masterpiece. and has changed me and my life forever. 😌
For me, your name win . I didn't blink an eye watching it , and the story was original , emotional was there . Everything was perfect , not even mention the animation and music . It has a secret message , hard to decrypt . Best anime .
Yeah same, and I genuinely feel bad for people who’s first anime it was because they could expect anything else to compare, but all they’ll be is disappointed
The concept of your name is one of the best plots I could ever watch that alone made me shed tears but all of the sadness and emotion built up in silent voice is to good
Am I the only one who did not cry while watching a Silent Voice? And they had a happy ending where ishida started listening to people and his X are starting to be gone I mean I only cried on ‘Your Name.’ But both are surely good in my opinion
Better ending written - A Silent Voice man don't make me laugh Your name ending is best written ending I ever saw. The last moment "Kimi no na wa " and then the background music play was best scene I ever saw.
It’s a cool moment, but nothing anyone didn’t expect. You can say the same thing for a silent voice, but I think the overall story itself makes the ending of a silent voice maybe a bit more impactful because it hits so close to home for so many people suffering from mental disorders or are just going through some rough droughts in their life. That’s my personal thoughts.
i think the concept in your name is a lot more intriguing, it's such a beautiful movie, and so creative when it comes to the plot and twist, a silent voice is good too, but i can watch your name over and over again edit: I forgot to mention the music in it, it really took me away tbh i just really like the music in this one
Ya bro very less people here praising your name I don't know why ? A silent voice= simple story Your Name = too complex I didn't imagine that the story can be written like that .
@@vivekbisht9142 yeah seriously, like i liked a silent voice but your name is so interesting when it comes to plot, the concept, the way the story is told, and its art is beautiful, everything about it is so well written, ik ppl like a silent voice more because they relate more to it i imagine, but to me your name is probably better
Your name was the revelation I thought this was some basic romance as pretty every other romance(no plot, basic character, just some emotional moments) but unexpectedly the plot of this movie is 10/10. Seriously, the best plot in all of animanga I've watched and read after attack on Titan(11/10). This plot is so complex in its structure and very good plot twists+ the revelation of love in this movie is 10/10 also. That was awesome A silent voice? Uhhmm... Mid plot, not bad MC, not bad revelation of acceptance of yourself, other people and that's it Absolutely incomparable
I honestly didn’t cry for a silent voice but I did get sad but for some reason when I watched your name I became depressed it showed me what the meaning of life is
The only anime movie that made me cry was i want to eat your pancreas but for me your name is my first anime i watched it in 2018 ig i was 12 years Old for me it was like a part of my life since then the BGM the music the twist the plot the meeting of taki and misuha everything was absolutely perfect it really really made my whole year go well and till now i just want to forget this movie and watch it again but never felt that way about a silent voice for me your name is literally the god of anime movies and i agree that a silent voice is more emotional but that's not that point here it's about the whole movie not there genre i have seen people have a soft corner for more emotional movies but again it's my pov and for me your name > any anime movies 1 your name 2 I want to eat your pancreas 3 a silent voice
I just got into anime this month. I’m 30. I watched Mamoru Hosada’s Belle, and I liked it a lot. Eventually, I made it to Shinkoto’s Your Name. Holy hell, I didn’t think it could be topped. Then I heard of A Silent Voice, and on the premise alone, I blind-purchased the blu-ray. Your Name kept me tensed and highly invested. A Silent Voice took me through every emotion. It was so hard to watch at times, and so hard to face. We all have done something stupid as a kid, and while I never basked in bullying, I was no saint, and I did join in bullying sometimes. I felt much like Shoya does in this story. I myself was never bullied, but I struggle with depression and some days I hate myself. A Silent Voice is an incredible film, one I can relate to. I may not have been as ruthless as Shoya and the other bullies of this story, but I still contributed to another person’s pain when I was a kid at times. I’m grateful I grew out of that, and I hope those classmates who were targets at my school are doing well.
during "Your Name" i was sobbing and mentally eating myself up after they forgot eachother and disappeared from their view. my heart dropped during the meteor impact and i didnt know what to think. love ts anime. it feels like we know something so so important that they dont
Everything was going good until this guy give "Ending scene" credit to A silent voice . Bro seriously 😒 Your name ending is just masterpiece and cannot get over it no matter how many time you watch it. The playing of song at last alway hit hard
@@NeoAzureig cause all thought she died from the comet. But revealed that they actually managed to evacuate the town and they all survived. And they still kinda remembers each other after years
I love both honestly. It's true that your name will make me emotional but I literally cry every single time I watch a silent voice. The emotions on that anime are unparalleled. If you're even considering looking for a new anime to watch, they are both worth your time. However with that said. A silent voice will leave you speechless in tears and very happy that you watched it to the very very end. It will always be in my top 5 list. No matter what animes may get created.
Silent voice is one of the best things i ever watched its theme and concepts are just to amazing and the show is full of emotional seens i just love it
Everyone’s different. It also depends if you relate to the characters or not. I heavily relate to the characters in A Silent Voice and bawled my eyes out every time I watched it
I don't know. both the protagonist in silent voice wanted to kill themselves for how they acted and for their disability. if your name dosen't go that far along with other themes then silent voice takes the category
The Fact that 'You Name' make me want to watch again after watching it many times but 'A Silent Voice' make me want to stop watching it because how emotional it is😢
Watch i want to eat your pancreas first 1hour is boring but then it will make you cry also garden of words will make you cry but its just 46-48min btw also watch weathering with you
I like A Silent Voice better, not just their relationship between each other shown more than Your Name but I like their lesson understanding both sides that they could be hurting too and how being suicidal doesn't just impact one person but the people who care for them
Can you recommend me such type of movies/anime. Means it was one of my first anime. I have watched Your name, Weathering with you and a silent voice. I loved it, i want more🥹🥹🥹
