I've been practicing this everyday for the last two weeks. There was an initial phase of elation but as the addiction to thoughts kicked back in I've tried to remain aware and in a state of allowing of my negativity. Watching it rise into my awareness and becoming unreactive. I have noticed however that because I am now open to these experiences, more negativity floods my mind than ever before. I think this is my mind fighting back due to its dependence on negativity. Just like any other addiction. Often I feel sick and nearly bed-ridden. It's been very difficult to remain uninterested because my minds pull is so strong now and very sneaky. But I will continue to practice everyday and perhaps this layer of the onion will peel away sooner or later. Thank You Sunny.
Yes it’s quite common that it occurs like that. Do not resist. It will all come and go. Let the mind resist and react. That which observes the suffering is not itself in a state of suffering. Soon things will become smoother
A few years ago I watched you and Quazi for manifestation techniques. Eventually I started to lose interest in manifestation at exactly the same timing that you did, and you began making videos on self inquiry and such. You were the one who prompted me to first ask myself “who am I?” Ever since then, it has been an unfolding of this supposedly separate self. And the seeking energy seems to be almost over now. Thank you, Sunny,
Thank you Sunny! This video actually came to me through an email and I’ve been needing guidance like this for sometime. I’ve been going through a major transformation of self and the negative thoughts wouldn’t subside even with meditation and a daily yoga practice. There most definitely is a certain addiction to this conceptual reality and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for opening my eyes to losing interest in these fabricated thoughts.
Hi Sunny 1st time guided to your channel after 5 years of being on my journey. Great video and explanation of higher state of consciousness and once your awakened you cannot go back to be your old self and you go through death of the ego! Still working on my inner self and it's a painful process at times. Thank you for this guidance 😊💖🙏.
"You must lose interest in the content of the mind"!! ✨ For me that was a crucial Practice in my spiritual Journey!! 🆓 The moment I started Living my Life & not Stay at my mind, at my Thinking process, it made all the difference!!! Another amazing & helpful video Sunny!! Thank you so much for everything you do 🙏❣️
I really love your way of explaining all of these challenging concepts, and I feel your intense desire is to truly help us get free. I have studied so many teachers' books and youtubes, etc, and am so happy to now be learning from you. Maybe I'm finally ready to change, as your clarity is more helpful to me now. I'll watch everything you post and maybe do your School in awhile. Much gratitude for you and I wish you abundant blessings, Sonny. ❤
Welcome to the channel Jennifer! I am really happy the messages are resonating with you. And sure, I hope to see you inside our school soon :) Best wishes
Great video. I've just started this practice after suffering with severe anxiety and depression. The meditation itself feels good but there is still a lot of resistance to actually feeling the feelings. It seems to improve with every session. Thank you!
Thank you so much for helping to reinforce this practice. I have been working to apply and practice this for some, but the gravitational pull is so strong back into thoughts/states of mind. It definitely is a moment-to-moment practice. What if the majority of the content/states of your mind are very negative in nature and the pull to certain negative patterns keeps pulling you back. I have struggled with mental suffering and depression for 10+ years and it now feels unbearable to observe all the negativity, as the momentum and pull to it is very strong. I know this thought too is an obstacle. Any tips in regards to the aforementioned would be greatly appreciated.
Despite the pull of the mind, you will prevail. Stay consistent with your practice. You must also learn to lose interest in thought. Here is a video which will help you do that. Please watch in full and implement consistently.
Thank you, I like the analogy of the dirty water, once the water becomes calm the dirt settles so the water becomes cleaner, like calming the mind to clear the thoughts while still keeping the nutritients of the earth.
great video! so practical and true, 'meditation will break you out of the conceptual prison..' 8:06 'all your suffering iis due to conceptual reality.' that is real wisdom, need to watch this and ingrain the message.
Sir ji aapko pta Hinduism has this exact concept of the one- brahman and the one who truly understands the essence of his self(brahman) is called Brahmin and sir you’re true Brahmin ❤️🙏
Hi Sunny, I'm really enjoying your wealth of knowledge & wisdom in your videos. I was wondering about perceived flaws in our physical appearance. I can't seem to break free of negative thinking toward the way I look, especially as I grow older. Do you have any thoughts/advice to eradicate myself of this destructive way of thinking?
We must lose interest in such thoughts. Focus not so much in the content of them but the feelings associated with them such as shame, fear, guilt, insecurity etc. watch my acceptance playlist on how to let go of such feelings and emotional complexes. You can also explore my school of awakening in which you will learn how to be free of such limitations
Wonderful explanation “about” the glass…the glass is just the glass. So Simple so powerful to see life as it is. This has been my practice since discovering your channel. Like a remembrance of something long forgotten. Well done. Thank you 🙏
Beautyful...one drop of practise= better as haven 1000 books read about..a Yogi saying. Its a kinda day- lucid dream going on..where u dream all is real...though when u deep inquire...u see is just dreamed so ;).
hello sir Namaste❤🙏 I have discovered your channel just 5 days ago. i have some questions regarding enlightenment and self realisation plzz reply i need your help iam in depression...that's why iam searching here and there. 1 . Does we really become joyful, blissful after this. 2 does we eliminate all attachment with the people who hurt us they may be our friends, ex- girlfriend. 3 does we become like the lotus who grow in mud and water but still untouched by everything. blissful and happy ...
Happy you've stumbled upon the channel. Don't worry too much about the results. Taking all of these things to be a possibility and allowing them to inspire you, just stay consistent with your day by day practice. If you do, what needs to happen will happen. Here are 3 videos you should watch and implement: 1. Without silence, spiritual teachings will remain conceptual for you: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5Mi_2swMZ00.html 2. Todo puede resumirse en la frase que dice "el dedo que apunta la luna, no es la luna"... Es la misma diferencia entre los pensamientos vs. La realidad misma.
Hi Sunny. It seems to me that if one is aware of the difference between conceptual thoughts and reality in daily life and if one sees one's conditioning in daily life then that alone would free the mind. Seeing these things seems far more relevant than watching my breath. What do you think?

Hi Sunny, I try to fight my negative thoughts with positive thoughts and whenever I do that, the negative thoughts still come. Is there really no point in fighting thoughts because we have no control over then
How in the world can someone sit for 16 hours and meditate!! 20 mins is physically painful for me! I’m 55 years old and started meditating four years ago and I can no longer sit full lotus because my knees and back start hurting too bad.
I find my mind is attached to the junk the mind comes up with. I meditate but I have no idea how much progress I'm making if any. I do not know why I get the thoughts I do. Sometimes it is ti e chaneg that it will result in that is also, I feel, a source of fear. I think I need more courage to let it go.
Have you watched this entire video? You don't need more courage. You just need to realize that all your thoughts and the scenarios they propose are unreal. Knowing this, lose interest in it, at least during moments of practice.
@@selfinquiryschool watched it twice. I think the other video is also what I needed . The one you did on what to do when fear arises in meditation. I will keep at it, practice
