I am a proud daughter of Yemoja. When I started my Ancestors spiritual path a few years ago, I found out a lot about my known and unknown Ancestors. A lot of which come from Nigeria, South Africa and Tanzania. I explored Ifa, Yoruba, and other spiritual practices then came across the Orishas. I naturally gravitated towards her, had several vivid dreams with her, and mermaids. One night, I woke up and my bedroom was ocean blue. I love the beach, oceans, & seas. I love cooking, my children and quality things. I am now living the good life after a tough beginning 💙

Only because when it comes to work within the Isese/IFA or Lucumi realm....one must work with someone with experience. I am Ifarinu....an initiate of Ifa....I am also omo Yemoja. I come to you with concern because too many people are building altars for Orisa not realizing.....the Orisa is not there. A shrine must be consecrated in order to work with Orisa. I would not steer you wrong not come at you funky. Trust me I get it. My apologies if I came off abrupt. I tend to be impatient and type in short hand. No malice on my end at all. Just wanted to make sure you are not rolling with charlatans because what we do is complex and sacred. There are many, many, many people being taken advantage of right now.

I literally starting crying when she started talking about Yemoja. It’s like me to a T. My entire family know I’ve had dreams since I was little that would always come true, I grew up on the Ohio river so I had to literally go to the river just to get grounded and balanced. My memory is great long term but little stuff I can forget in seconds. I had a horrible childhood with abuse that had to overcome and really became balance after over coming it, the knees it’s just all amazing. I really have to find out if I’m truly a daughter of this Orisha.

Through divination , I recently discovered Ogun rules my head. As a female, I never thought much about Ogun. As a child growing up in the islands, I had a strong belief, and fascination with mermaids, which led me to study more about them, which led me to the Orishas. Individuals may think because they love to dance, and dress sensual means Oshun rules their head, but I must say Oshun's, and Yemaja's attractiveness lured me into African spirituality, although the male Orishas are just as powerful, and important. Respect, and much gratitude to Ogun, and all the Orishas, Ase.

it is a 7-Day to 14 day Initiation rebirth, with a week prior preparation - after that it is a year as Jabo.. You don't choose your head mark - they choose you. In the ceremony with Shamans, Madrinas and Padrinos.

What I would do is search up on Google at least three to four locations - and go check them out in person and meet the people there first then once you feel about the locations, see which one in your mind and your heart it feels truly comfortable with you. Go back to that location that you truly like and ask them if they know anyone that can guide you to receiving Saints. I believe that a lot of people are mostly going for receiving collares instead of doing the actual initiation. Is a very expensive process and takes a long time to set up. You got to look for people with truly good intentions to trust your instincts pray to God that he guides the right people in your life to do this for you. They then become your Madrina and Padrino and they are supposed to guide you the rest of the way - the rest of your life they are, your godparents basically 🙏🌻🌊✨

I called out to SHANGO and Oshun back in March. Soon after I had a dream were my ex-wife and I was outside in front of an altar with like 4 rows of bell peppers. My ex-wife and I were reading out this book which had a prayer invoking Shango. After we finished invoking Shango, he told me plain as day in the dream to feed him bell peppers though he didn't show his face. After I woke up my spirit guide told me to work with Shango. Shango and my spirit guide set me up good to get a statue of Shango. When I went to get the statue, I asked a lady that work at the shop (Mama Bessie in Charlotte, NC) if they had a statue of Shango. She said I don't think we do and went to go look to see. When she did she was like there he is in a surprised voice. She said we must have gotten him yesterday with the orders. Then Mama Bessie over heard us talking and verified that Shango's statue just came in yesterday. She stated that the statue was meant for me which wasn't really a surprise for me but I was amazed how it went down. Shango and my spirit guide helped me with my altar and I am very pleased. I’m not in the religion but I was told several times, I am child of Ogun but Shango walks with me and Oshun is also around me. It’s funny how you brought up not seeing Shango’s face in your dream. About 4 years ago, Shango came to me in my dream. We were in one of those old homes where they used curtains as a door, old wooden floors and a iron bed. On the bed was my husband. My husband does not believe in the religion at all and hates talking about it. In the dream My husband’s whole body was shaking and he fell on the bed. While falling on the bed. Shango looked at me but I couldn’t really see his face but I could tell he was angry. He told me telepathically that my husband was his child and the feeling I got from Shango was that my husband had no choice of the matter. I remember Shango being extremely tall, and with a very aggressive attitude

I do love and appreciate you describing the Children of Aganju, as his Child! I've been in Santo my whole life and was still an infant when I received my baby elekes, and it still feels like I scrabble to find any sort of acknowledgement of him other than "Father of Chango". And with the way tradition goes (and the way I was as a child) I think people expect me to be more like a Child of Chango. I love him dearly, but it's always felt like "a rectangle is not a square". I also had a stillborn son, I've very gentle with people and I give many chances but once you've really rubbed me the wrong way my anger can be very severe. While watching this I was eating Jollof and its 3AM so thanks for the reminder. I've also been a vivid dreamer since a young child and I am drawn to the ocean. I feel much better when I'm close to the ocean and I've had a lot of dreams showing that I was connected to sea life. Wow! Yemoja! I’m just delving into the Orishas, after a prophetic dream that I had about a year ago. I knew very little about the Orishas, and 3 of them appeared in my dream, it was powerful. I then began my research as well as digging into my ancestry to find out that I’m West African 37 percent Nigerian. I believe I may be a child of Yemoja, I always connected to my dreams, always get some type of vision from them that actually end up happening in real life. I love swimming, I go to the beach every year I always feel connected. I would consider myself a homebody/loner, I love to be around people but I love my space. I love to be playful with children and I joke a lot. This video was more a closer confirmation to finding my guide and orisha. I’m currently an Africana studies minor and a sociology majors, so I been trying to do my research. I need to get a reading. I’ve lately starting feeling like I’m a child of Yemoja because of my traits and connection to the water. When you mentioned foot injuries/issues I burst into tears. I fractured my tibia AND fibula a few months ago and when I told my mom she told me that I broke the same leg as a baby. I have 1 son, I’m such a nurturer and natural homemaker. 💙+🍯 I display just about every characteristic listed for both Yemoja & Oshun! Mature women tend to be very attracted to me & take me as a daughter or niece, which is a blessing to me because I have a strained relationship with my biological mother. I know you touched on children of Oshun displaying jealousy, but are they prone to attracting jealous/envious women? Just about every woman (sisters, friends, even my mother) that I let very close to me starts to copy EVERYTHING I do (style, mannerisms, hobbies, etc.) My lady friends also like coming to me when they feel down because I cheer them up & lend a listening ear. I strongly feel like I'm a daughter of Yemoja or she's my first mother, especially dreams of the ocean and what I consider as visions. I do have fertility issues but am working on it, but I have a strong connection with children...children will come to me or I'm the nurturing type. Oya hit home a lot as well...especially closing deals and not tolerating bullies. I feel that Papa Legba could be my father...I wish that I could contact someone who can help lead me to learning about this so I can make my final decision of finding out who has crowned me. To "verify" something like this, the best way I know is to receive your Hand of Fa, if that's for you. Also, S Ali Meyers (I think that's his name) had a book on this topic. But for example, in my family if have a North node in Gemini= Ibeji. Or North node in Aries= Ogun. Go research and see what sign Capricorn aligns with. Also get your life path number, mine is 6/33, 6 correlates with the planet Venus. Venus (depending on which pantheon you rock with) Lakshmi. Oshun and so on. FYI I dont know shit. Lol I'm just a student out here reading and researching myself.
