I work for a repair company that’s part of Apple’s IRP (independent repair program) and we’re required to use OEM batteries, it’s so much paperwork and everything is extremely regulated to the point where if something isn’t to their liking we can get fined or even fired. It’d be so much easier to use one of these programmers but unfortunately we can’t, I fully support the Right to Repair but it looks like apple is trying to make it as difficult as possible for you to use aftermarket parts. Either way it’s always fun watching your videos and i still learn a lot from them, keep doing what you’re doing man

Seems pretty straightforward. I changed 6s battery many times. This does not look more difficult. And considering iP11 is now quite an old phone, I do not give a damn about the message about genuine part.

I just had my 11 pro max battery replaced today. Bought the phone back in November 2019. Battery lasted a good 5 years. Health dropped down to 79% before I finally replaced it. Took less than an hour. $100 fee. Good as new for another 5 years 😂👍🏻
I bought my iPhone X from Amazon as renewed. But the weird thing is that from the inside it smells like it has been in saltwater for literally years. On the other hand my iPhone 7 smells like a puffy battery because the original battery decided to expand. So phones really do have an individual smells.
Ahh good old Spicy Pillow smell. Did that one smell like nail polish remover (acetone recipe) a bit? (I think that smell comes from the chemicals/metal solutions breaking down due to the heat from being used and charging, especially if we have no choice, but to use the Spicy Pillow (tm) phone)

I only wish I had you to teach me how to do phone repairs! The two people who showed me how to do it did it wrong! They are an example of the quick and easy but crappy repairs. One day I hope to start up my own repairs but we will see where that will go.
Nothing is worse than smelling the off gassing from a phone battery because most of us know what that means. That off gas smells kind of like an acetone-ish (nail polish remover/paint thinner-ish) smell that comes out of any opening (doesn't matter how narrow, especially around the power button) on your phone and lets you know that the battery wants out. (Spicy Pillow [through that ominous off gassing]: "Replace me NOW, please.")
Is it dangerous to take it out? I replaced a few screens and batteries but never before did they smell like this, now I have 2 phones with the smell and I know I need to take the battery out but I’m lowkey a little scared lmao
i think it’s good apple gives us that notification, just in case you’re buying a secondhand one but want to keep everything original. buuuuut the messed up part is that it keeps popping up. should just put it somewhere on settings just for checking purpose and it should be fine.

im 16 years old use my phone all the time after a year of using it health still at 100% i charge it at 40 till 80 and my health is still 100 so depends how you use it if you charge it to 100% all the time and you play on your phone till it's dead like my brother does then yeah we both got an 11 like 2 weeks apart and his health is at 93 and mine at a 100

As a tech I alway let my nails grog because they are great tools too especially to prevén the screen from closing it again, XD happy to see I am not the only one
Hey 👋 Just have a suggestion for the audio in the video. I think you should keep the mic a bit away from your face because when I wear headphones the sound is pretty loud and is a bit distorted. Mainly for headphones because the sound quality is much better. Other than that everything about your videos is awesome 😎 😁 that’s a long comment ✌🏻
Do you repair Samsung watches as well? I suspect having water damaged my display as it was partly green and everything else worked. I'll try opening it up to see if I can rescue it. Like your videos.
