Pastor David Guzik speaks about what the Bible says on finding our place in God's eternal plan and purpose, and takes us into Ephesians 3:1-13. This message was held at Calvary Chapel Fayetteville, NC.
What an awesome message,….brought by a brother in Christ who has been gifted in teaching/preaching,…so much so that he is a major blessing to the Church, and to the world. Thank you, Pastor David🗣🙏✝️❣️
“For He Himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has torn down the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing in His flesh the law of commandments and decrees. He did this to create in Himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace and reconciling both of them to God in one body through the cross, by which He extinguished their hostility. He came and preach peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.” Ephesians 2:14-18
Thank you for this video! This passage actually made me like Paul's letters. Lol. I was having a hard time with them before, but once I got to this passage, it all changed. What was really hard for me to swallow, for I didn't like most of the things he spoke about women before, after reading this passage (and checking your commentary on your website to see if I was reading it correctly) something changed in me. I stared accepting his letters as truth, and started viewing the whole Bible in a different way, as the true word of God.
Laura, It is a great thin that you kept pushing forward in you pursuit of truth. Many people do not do that. They read something that ruffles their feathers, and they never take a second look. It is like the Bereans in Acts 17. 10 Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 These were more [d]fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. Good for you! Keep pressing in to God's word! Blessings!
“Therefore remember that formerly you who are Gentiles in the flesh and called uncircumcised by the so-called circumcision (that done in the body by human hands)- remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. 13But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.” Ephesians 2
“While Peter was still speaking, the Holy Spirit fell upon all who heard the word. The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astounded that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles, for they heard them speaking in tongues and extolling God. Then Peter said, “Can anyone withhold the water for baptizing these people who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?” So he ordered them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ” Acts 10:44-48
