I used to think the same, single man and single woman are going to go through all these crises in future (ai, jobs, climate, etc) as single people anyway. If the world is going to hell anyway might as well get married and help each other out in crises. Who knows economics of the future if we achieve agi, maybe future children might not need to work at all, the concept of school expenses might be reduced or gone due to agi..
