Also PSA, if you are having problems with either your PS3 or PS4 having a fuzzy, blurry snowy like screen, turn off the Deep Color Output setting. For some reason my PS3 did that after an update and my PS4 did as well. Disabled the setting on both consoles, working as it should from that moment on.

Okay Drift0r Sorry to correct you but, about the audio part. You can have the Digital Optical Cable plugged in and the audio will come through both DO and HDMI. :) That's actually the way I have it hooked up now to my Astro Mixamp! Btw I LOVE your vids man keep it up. I love that you are trying to help the beginner RU-vid community. We need more RU-vidrs like you!

Can you do a quick overview of how all the sights work? Like zoom, center speed effection, effect on idle sway and recoil, etc?

Digital out audio works. The PS4 still sends sounds signals through HDMI wheen Digital out is chosen.

Wait, so you can't hear audio through your headset if you use an Elgato on a PS4 or on both Xbox One and PS4? That seems like bad design if you spend $60 or more on a headset.

Driftor could u tell me how to Record the gameplay with a hd pvr 2 because when I connect it my tv is black but my computer is showing the gameplay please help

Is there a way to get a Lag-free passthrough? so that i can play looking at my computer screen off the elgato software?

I hope this works because when I plugged my Elgato in, I clicked on the Destiny application to play on my PS4 and my screen blacked out and all I heard was the audio from the screen and my screen didn't go back on. I've never experienced this problem.

I've shut off the HDCP and now my PS4 only gives me a white screen. Please help!

An annoying thing I found out with disabling HDCP for recording was that, if you want to jump into an app like VUDU or any other movie/tv service, the PS4 tells you to enable HDCP first. You then have to go into the settings menu to enable it, switch out your HDMI cables, and then go back to launch the app you want. Wish it would at least bypass the requirement to go through the settings menu again.

Drift0r, the Elgato does not capture any audio other than stereo PCM. Also, PS4 audio is constantly on both HDMI and toslink, with the non-primary outut being downgraded to stereo PCM.

So you still need to hook the PS4 up to a computer?

Hey drift or I've got an elgato game capture but my computer is in the office should I connect my computer to my ps4

I changed my Deep Color Output to auto like you said and now my Game Capture HD software says "No signal." I tried to change that and the audio format back to "Linear PCM" but now I can't record on my Elgato. Any help be great.

Drift0r I followed your video and when i'm playing a game my LG tv screen goes black for a few seconds then shows the game screen again then black again for another few seconds then back to the game. It's starting to be really annoying plus there no audio come out from the tv but when I turn on either my Sony headset or Tritton headset audio comes out from the speakers. And idea what could be the problem?

I'm having problems with the lag between the elgato and my tv. It always seems to be just a bit off. I lessened the quality. But is there something I'm missing? I still want to put out quality videos. Maybe a 1 to 2 hdmi splitter? Coming from the play station and having one cable to the elgato and one cable to the tv?

i would really love a way to record my voice after I've stopped recording the gameplay using elgato software. im really lazy on uploading vids because i use imovie to do the final editing and voice over and it takes ages to upload from imovie to youtube.
